rvgary
Chilling at the Marriott Court Yard in Junction city until the Majestic is finished... The Cameo is now headed west and the new owners are completely satisfied -- that's as good as it gets... The Majestic was looking pretty good as of last Thursday when it left for Forest City, Iowa for full body painting. The company is called CDI and it's supposed to perform superior work with 4 coats of clear. Because of the change in the painting process ours has been delayed until the 11th for delivery. It should return to JC by this Friday. We can at least hang around and watch the progress next week. I've been told they don't need my help to finish it. Dang, I want to get in on the action... The following week if we get a couple of days with above freezing weather I'll be heading SOUTH. When we get to Mission, Jack M has agreed to perform the "Special" Ambassador Inspection... Jack Mayer
I can't wait to see it Gary. They just keep improving the rigs....the new paint process is a nice improvement. I'll tear into it when you get here.....then you will have your list - if any - for your factory service in the spring....I don't envy you the cold. I was up there this time last year.... rvgary
We finally departed Junction City Sunday morning with our NEW, New Horizons Majestic following us south. Made the mandatory stop at the Windstar Casino in Thackerville, OK. The price is right, “free,” so we decided to sstay two nights and see how far $20.00 will last. I’m sure we will win enough for a life changing experience. Quote 2012 42QD Itasca Ellipse, 450 Cummins with a Toyota toad...
bspeckman
We spent about 6 weeks at Creative Coach in Lakeland, FL getting repairs from the accident completed. We left there and spent 10 days here at SKP Resort in Wauchula, FL. We are leaving today and heading up to Perry, GA for the FMCA convention next week. The government canceled our contracts for planes this spring and summer so no rush to get back to Wisconsin in April, I guess we will get to enjoy a little more winter than usual. Probably go up to Macon for the Cherry Blossom Festival for a week then who knows, it will depend on the weather. Maybe stop and see JW and check out Suite's new bed if its still there. Jim Gehlen
After spending about 5.5 months in and around Parker, AZ, the time is upon us to relocate. Leaving Parker (Emerald Cove) this morning and heading for Barstow, Bakersfield and San Luis Obispo, CA. Will spend a week or so in San Luis Obispo visiting with kids and grandkids. Gots to pat them on the head and let them know we are still around. Weather here has been great but looks like we will hit a bunch of rain in the very near future. Jim Gehlen
Will be pulling out of Isleton, CA tomorrow (Monday)(Delta area) and hit I-80 and go east on I-80 to Winnemucca, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Cheyenne and then north to Rapid City arriving some time late Thursday or Friday, the 14th. There may be a couple of long mileage days but its gotta be done. Been skirting weather for the last week here in CA the last week. Can't keep away from their insane fuel prices. $4.47/gallon diesel in Lodi yesterday. Hopefully have enuf fuel on board to get to Wyoming to get a few cents cheaper fuel. All family are fine and got done with the yearly visits. Jim Gehlen
Pulled into Rapid City KOA for the summer. Stuck in cheyenne, Wyoming for two days with snow and wind. Not a pleasant journey. Diesel as high as $4.54/gallon in Ca. to $4.09 in Cheyenne. Hopefully not an indication of fuel costs for this season.
