cornwellkidd
I read about Happy Camper to clean out your Black tank and now can't find it. I think it was in a Escapees Mag. Anyone know where it is. Thanks

kb0zke
Kirk, are you still using it? We did a bit of research just now and it seems that it has been removed from most things that used to have it. We had a septic system for many years and were told by the guy that maintained the system that TSP was no worse for the septic than bleach or other household chemicals as long as it was used in proper dilution. TSP is also a food additive and is deemed safe by both the EU and FDA.

You should use it properly and follow the instructions, as is true for any product. Quote TSP is most commonly used to reduce the acidic nature of foods, especially breakfast cereals, as it modifies cereal color and aids in the cereal's flow through the extruder. Other uses are: Added to meat to retain moisture during storage and cooking. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Darryl&Rita
Phosphate is a fertilizer, and contributes to water quality problems. Septic systems don't care about phosphate levels, but the chemical enters the water cycle, eventually ending up in ponds and lakes.
