I tried to post last night but when i hit the send button I lost the connection and the post. It must not have been important because I don't remember what I said.

Happy Easter everybody. Hope all is well with you and family.

Today is my last day of "working" this season here in FL. Mon and Tues we pack up and Wed we head North to MI. I have looked at the weather and it is getting warmer with no below freezing temps forecasted after mid week. I was getting scared that we were leaving too early, but it will be fine. We will be parked at our usual MI spot, full hookup, friends driveway on Portage Lake, Pinckney MI. Looking forward to seeing some friends and getting Dentists and Dr appointments out of the way.

We will only there till the end of the month and then we will be volunteer camp hosting at Illinois Beach State Park, on Lake MI just north of Chicago for the summer. Our 2nd grandchild is due May 4th.

We have official "crossed over". After much manoevering we fit in the driveway at our son's house. There are inches to spare on both sides and we do not have to put out our steps, we have to step into the neighbour's yard. But we are in and that's what's important. Pretty tired after 3 hard days drive. This morning from Tulalip was a breeze. Beautiful weather, lots of green and flowers. No problem at the border.

My memory of that park is being locked out when we went into town to see a Cinerama movie. Would have been a long walk from the gate to the campground but people from another vehicle called someone to come unlock the gate. I must have been 11 or 12 or so.

We have been to the Big Bend Nat Park for the last week without internet or cell service. It's plenty HOT there, glad to be heading North. Will see our daughter in Big Springs for a day or two and then to Paducah for a few days before heading to Colo. Everyone stay safe. We sure enjoyed seeing everyone at Q in Jan.

Walked 6/10 ths of a mile this evening. That sure feels good after not being able to walk the length of my trailer without getting winded.

The park is about half full of Mexican families having their Easter outing. I think I'll go back to Deming about wednesday. I'll get my quarterly taxes in, get my mail, clean up and stock up then head East doing some NM park hopping on the way.

It's great to read about everyone's safe travels and adventures without unwanted excitement.

Jeri, you and Terry had a much better trip "home" than your trip south.

Toni glad you made it back " to the other side" and are parked safely. Get well Doug and Parker.

Freddy and Delcie, Big Bend looked so pretty wish we could've spent more time there but our Jeep wouldn't allow it. Travel safe.

Lee glad you're feeling better.

We went to an exhibition baseball game at the Alamodome Saturday afternoon then to the Riverwalk dinner. Going racing this weekend then we're on the road again. First stop will be Tyler, Tx.

Everyone be safe.

I'm scheduled to leave Deming about the time IYQ comes back here. First day winds will let me travel. I'm thinking about going down to Austin to get Sportsmobile to put one more snap on my shower curtain. I didn't intend to wash the floor next to the shower last time I took one--now I have one clean spot!

Starting the process, I Checked batteries this afternoon, Tomorrow I'll get the tires and Springbars. Then Wednesday head for Deming to stock up and do laundry. My mail should be waiting for me when I get there. I got busy and sent my quarterly taxes in this morning from this post office. There isn't enough people in this town to cause a line at the window. It hit 87 today but had enough breeze to keep in comfortable. I'll sit outside and view the stars one more time tonight, then give that up. It's really dark here before the moon comes up. There is very little light pollution. No street lights. If I had a place to store it I'd get a good telescope to amuse myself with at night. That would be almost as much fun as cowgirls. Speaking of which I met a very nice, fairly young (50'ish) one this morning at breakfast. She has a ranch (?????) where she lives and keeps a couple of horses and a few other assorted animals a few miles north of here and a couple miles west of the highway. I've been invited to the ranch anytime I'm in the area. (Should have read, that detour sign.)

Hi Linda, we stayed there last fall and didn't have any issues w/ locked gates. We even asked before we headed off to visit the kids.

A lazy day today. This morning that cowgirl I met at breakfast yesterday showed up at my rig wanting me to show her where the Owl was. She took a couple snapshots and left. So I put my shoes on an went to breakfast. She was there working on a loose board on the restaurant entrance. Maybe its a good thing that I'm leaving in the morning.

It was a little windy today. Not very nice for sitting outside.

Hi All,

Glad to see y'all who have headed North made it safely - those who are still heading to summer areas - this is wishing you light tail winds.

Mike and I had a great 10 visit with Dave and Nancy. Stayed in Cottonwood AZ - hiking, shopping, drinking - tell stories - talking about all of you!!!

We have now started our move to Denver with a short stop here in New Mexico.

I moved back up to Deming today, I'll use the rest of this week to wind up all my business here and restock then start my slow journey to NC. I have a doctors appointment on Jun 3rd and I plan on taking all that time to get there. I went out for ribs tonight and am still licking my lips. I knew there was some reason I wanted to keep on living. I tried to get my prescription filled. Wal-Mart only gave me 6 of the 90 pills on the prescription and said to come back for the rest in about 3 days. Oh Well, I guess thats one way to run a business. I'm sure glad I wasn't just passing through or had just driven 40 or 50 miles to get to a Wal-Mart. Tonight I'll get Delorme out and plan my trip east. Trying to keep my stops close to 200 miles apart. I'll start off slow, only going 72 miles to Caballo, NM Then add an extra 50 or 60 miles on the next couple of stops or make two or three jumps in a week. I don't travel I just drift.

Nice day today. I got the tires all checked so that is out of the way. Tomorrow I'll grease the spring bars and be all ready to hook up. My plan is to make 200 to 250 miles a WEEK to be in NC on June 3rd.

I think I can handle a grueling schedule like that. I don't want to over do it you know. LOL!

I am wandering east since it is too soon for me to go all the way home to Minnesota. Currently in Van Horn, TX. Winds are supposed to be milder tomorrow so I'll do some more wandering.

Classless, eh? Why not just put my name at the top of this thread? I have no class what-so-ever!

I believe that I did join the class of '07, but it took me till last fall to get a rig under me. I am currently at The Ranch in New Mexico. Have to head north tomorrow or Sunday, to be in Edmonton by April 15th for Drs. appt. Would like to wait a couple more weeks, but I ain't the boss.

Will be spending a couple months or so there, visiting friends and looking after business. Then it will be cross country, visiting along the way, to my home turf in New Brunswick to visit family until the snow flies. Especially grandson, who is three and "L'il Wassit" who is due in May.

Hope to meet some of you along the way. -Steve

Well, I got all the rest of my meds and went to the bank but when I got home the mail was here and I got a couple more checks so back to the bank in the morning. I even got a hair cut. (all of them Steve) Now for the laundry and I'm free to roam. It looks like wind all next week. I'm sure glad it's going to be tail wind because I'm going reguardless of the wind. Well maybe I'd better take one last trip to the grocery store also. Now I know what has caused all this wind. It was just Mike Going by.

Steve, It's good to see another Steve around, that way I won't have to be responsible for all the things I do anymore. IYQ will have to be careful because he won't know whether we're coming or going!!

Hey, Lee, if you let the wind blow you all the way over here, the casino is still going strong. There's a 14 story hotel there now (they snuck that one in since last year). Give us a call when you get close and we'll break a little bread. Steve
