The Class-less Class

How is this going to affect us if we want to stay for a couple or 3 months?

It should not effect you staying that long. Just keep renewing the stay and play. It's when you pay for 15 days and stay for 20. Pretty good deal if you know you are staying for that long. I think it works at any of the Escapee parks but not the SKP parks.

We always had to pay the electric bill when we left. Are you saying its now included? Not sure if we will be staying 21 days when we go next winter anyway. We will be in a hurry to get to Emerald Cove!!!

The stay and play will still have metered electric you pay when you leave.

When staying over month end you always paid at the end of the month so they could close that month's books. I suspect, but don't actually know, this will remain true.

I posted a reply to Pa and D on the Class of 2008-09 forum earlier today, and thought I'd paste here to the Classless Class, also. We are 12ers, but Tom and I loved being "adopted" and made welcome by all! It seems Cherry Creek State Park will be the gathering place for many of us in April/May... what fun. We are currently in Cheyenne, WY (actually in Sidney, NE for the weekend), and will be in the Cheyenne - Ft. Collins, CO area for some time. And, yes, Jeff, it is way too early to be this far north, but we are managing... having good visits with our kids, so that makes it worth while. We are flexible with our schedule and would love to connect with many of you at Cherry Creek... thinking we might come there around the 25th of April and stay two weeks so our timings can overlap with others. So, join in Diane and Glyn... seems that Jeff and Tina will already be there, maybe Julie and Mike will come after their trip to the east? And, Roger and Lynn coming around May 2nd? Really looking forward to time with you all... keep us posted, please, everyone. Safe travels to all!

We had a very good day with Carol and Steve. Lunch at the Casino then a tour of downtown Oklahoma City. We didn't realize there was so much going on in OKC. Thanks so much for spending time with us and showing us around. Be safe and we'll catch up with you down the road.

Tina & Jeff, we really enjoyed showing you guys around the city. Next time you'll have to bring the falcon and add some rubber to the track in "Thunder Valley"!

PS: thanks for helping me hide the ice cream machine again. That darn thing is getting too heavy to move around very often!

My new camo goggles with one red and one green lens should take care of that paint job and with that thing getting so heavy and all the extra foot prints the ultra violet impression detector will make it easy pickins's to find. Now all I have to do is paint a picture of a funnel cloud on my trailer. When I enter town they will think I'm just another tornado coming to stir up the dust and not expect a thing

A lazy day today. The park is almost empty. I did some trailer cleaning and maintenance today.,

Mutter mutter, green lens, mutter mutter, ultra violet detector, tornado clouds, hmmm must add all this extra info into the flux capacitor and see if it will spit out a new defense strategy.:ph34r:

Yep... crikey is right! Keep that slide in, Roger. We have had to do that a lot lately!

We are 15 miles east of Cheyenne, parked in our daughter's yard last night, and woke to lots of snow this morning! OK... we can hear you all laughing and saying, "what the heck were those two doing heading up north this early in the season." And, your choice of words might not be too kind... just lots of laughing and snickering  The kind of stuff to be batted around the campfire at a later date :P

But, we got moved to a nearby rv park early this morning and now have electricity. We are well, and will just wait this out and enjoy visits with our daughter and son-in-law while here. So, we are safe, and wish the same for all of you out there. Look forward to seeing those of you at Cherry Creek later this month and next, and others down the road. Best wishes. Be safe, everyone! If I remember right that Flux Capacitor is the one Steve salvaged from the Delorian Time Machine that Shadowtracks was riding in when it crashed two weeks before it took off. Shadowtracks got banged up so bad that he was still in the Hospital when it took off so he missed the trip. That was luck because he ended up without a scratch. However it did effect his head a little. He totally forgot that you are not supposed to catch cowgirls when you chase them. That got him married. I've never mentioned it before but I was messing with my Phase Shift Generator when that thing crashed and I suspect I may have caused it to overheat and caused the crash. Maybe if I crank my Phase Shift Generator up to full power I can shift the times zones to the west when he starts the Flux Capacitor and get there before he gets it turned on. And at the same time cause his Flux Capacitor to overheat and maybe burn up. No, that would melt the ice cream. Beside the last time I tried to shift the time zones I got where I was going before I got the trailer hooked up and ended up spending the next Week sleeping on park benches hitch hiking back to my trailer. I'll have to shift the phase of something else. Hummmmmm

I was going to leave Caballo tomorrow morning but I'm thinking that over again. This week is going to be windy in both places and Oasis State park is about 10 to 15 degrees colder at night than it is here. This park is protected from the wind and the 40 MPH gust they are having in the area only got up to 18 here. Plus the weather prevaricator is saying possible snow for Oasis Wednesday and Thursday. I don't like the way that sounds. Hummmmm Again.

We were suppose to be in Denver for RV repairs 4/18. I called them and had to leave a voicemail to cancel so we're staying south until the weekend in Amarillo, Tx. Stay warm and dry everyone and we'll see some of you at Cherry Creek.

I don't mind going to see snow. I just don't want it coming to me so I thought we'd avoid it this time.

I've been feeling sort of bad that we have been moving so slow but with the weather the way it is I'm about to change the way I feel.

Minnesota is absolutely refusing to stop having winter this year. In all the years I lived there I've never seen it like this. At least, I'm looking at it from Livingston, TX; Dave is living in it. Poor guy. Good thing he can get groceries delivered. I sure would like to go home, though.

OK,,, I might have had my fill of the wind here in New Mexico. If I knew I could drive far enough east to get out of it I just might be tempted with a early morning departure.

We're on day two of this blow in Winslow...had 60+ mph gusts for the past five hours and steady of 40+. Getting stronger but supposed to let up later this evening. Good thing I've got my trailer nose pointed into it. Having an Airstream helps too. Kinda spooky but I keep thinking that this can't be near as bad as what people dealt with in the "Dust Bowl" days.

I'm staying put until at least Monday. So far the strongest wind I've got down here under the dam is 21 MPH. Reports from the other camp ground above the dam are gust to 60 MPH. The forecast for Oasis State Park ( my next stop ) are a couple of nights in the 20's and possible snow.

I'm aready 500 miles behind schedule on my greuling 200 to 250 miles a week. It's tough but its sure keeping Steve on his toes wundering what I'm up to.

I'm helping to keep Steve awake, too. I said I'd be there about a week ago. Guess what? I'm not even headed that direction yet. Maybe next week. Goofy Spring. Speaking of which, anyone heard from Goofy & Foofy lately?

Hmmmmm some of the class is stuck in the snow, others are hunkered down trying to keep the wind from blowing them away while here in the PNW we have been pretty much having GREAT weather. Yesterday I rode along with a friend up to Canada. She needed to restock her supply of Cranberry Juice. While up there we visited a great Japanese Restaurant for lunch and happened to have guests show up to meet us. Had a great lunch with Doug and Toni and of course we talked about everybody that wasn't there. While lunch was GREAT, the company was even better. so in closing I just need to say one more thing;

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONI
