We are in Bracey, VA. Just across the border off 85. Give us a holler if your coming this way.

I had JUST looked on the class map and seen that you were there. We should be heading that way (I think?) we'll give you a shout if we get close.

Thanks for the Canada info people!

I've been seeing this Class-less thread and it finally dawned on my that Diane says all the time I have no class. Soooo maybe I belong here as well.

That's why I'm here.

Lynn and I sat thru our first time share pitch yesterday...what a weird experience! Once the guy found out that we were "homeless" he couldn't end the session fast enough. When I asked him "do I still get the train ride" he said no you have to sit thru the entire 90 minute spiel and that it would be a waste of both of our time. I said play on...I'm retired...got all kinds of time. Had to keep pressing him to continue and that I might be interested after speaking with my financial advisor. Of course they wanted me to sign on the line there and then. We have free first class tickets for the Verde Canyon Railroad tour tomorrow! Not sure that I'll do this again however.

My ex- and I used to sit through the time share sales pitches to get the vacations. Set a stop watch gong and at 90 mins times up where's ,y vacation. Wany another way out, tell them you bring your dogs. Most are are no dogs.

Together we, Ranger and Jin

We have been to the Big Bend Nat Park for the last week without internet or cell service. It's plenty HOT there, glad to be heading North. Will see our daughter in Big Springs for a day or two and then to Paducah for a few days before heading to Colo. Everyone stay safe. We sure enjoyed seeing everyone at Q in Jan.

LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!

Freddy and Delcie

We'll probably see you in CO this summer ! We're currently in Prescott, driveway camping at a friend's place, doing projects on both his trailer and our rig. Heading up and over into CO at some point (Jello is jiggling...) Sounds like lots of folks are going to be in CO this summer, so go easy on the water  .

The wind storms of the past few nights about did in my slide topper. Today, I got the ladder out and cut off about 6 inches from both ends to get rid of the torn and frayed canvas. I washed it good and tomorrow I'll tape the edge with awning tape. Maybe I'll get another year out of it.

I need a good rain to wash the dust off the truck and trailer. It spit rain during that dust storm in Deming. That made a mess. Ya know, if I painted the rig a speckled brown the mud wouldn't show.

Lee, the seam on my slide awning also gave out during our big wind the other day. Slapped some of that awning tape on and it held during the rest of the blow. Amazing stuff...used it to seal the dog food bag and couldn't get it back off. Willie was annoyed with me waiting for his kibble!

Also, had dust stuck to the "Red Rooster". The California Duster worked pretty well cleaning it off...Roger

We have one topper that is a bit loose so went out during the wind to toss a rope over it to sinch in down a bit. The wind was so strong it was hard to just get over the slide. The last toss put it in the roof again where it got stuck in something LOL!!! It's still up there but I'll get up on the rood to get it loose today probably.

I was laughing while doing it because I felt it a challenge. I kept saying to myself,,, just tie something heavy on the end,,, oh noooo,,, this is to much fun,,, it can't defeat me!!! LOL

Hey, Dave, welcome to the group! Save those topper roping talents, we need good "team ropers" here in Oklahoma. They're gearing up for the tornado roping contest at the end of the month, and you'd fit right in! I remember you posting at the same time both of us were selling our homes, I mean trying to sell our homes. <_< That sure was an experience I'll never forget!

Dang, now I've got to run over to the casino and see if they put the ice cream machine back in the underground storage again. If Lee would just quit moving around so much my job wouldn't be so hard. Don't tell him I'm on to him.

Weather here today is much better. No wind, sunny, and the high today is supposed to be about 60 with a warming trend through the weekend. It got down to freezing last night, and was drizzling a little sleet and rain, so maybe that was winter's last gasp. ,

We are supposed to go up to Keystone Lake near Tulsa in a couple of weeks to camp with a group of Carol's photography friends. It's a COE campground, so I get my "old farts" discount. Full hookups for $9 a night, and right on the water so I can get the little boat out and have a "hot dog & six pack" cruise. I'll show you classless!!

Now all I have to do is get a couple of tires for the front of Bessy. I stopped at the tire store yesterday and got prices. The 275 80R 22.5 Michelin XZA3 H rated tires, were $675.00 a piece, and the 295 75R 22.5 R280 H rated Bridgestones, were $516.00 each. I put 4 Michelins on the rear a little over a year ago, but the price difference of the Bridgestones might be enough to make me put them on the front. Quite a few people use them, and they have a good reputation, so I don't know if the almost $400 difference (after you add tax, balance etc:) is worth going to Michelins. Hmmmmm, have to think on that one for a while. Next my fantastic fan broke. I just pushed the button to turn it on and the motor for the lift fell out of the ceiling and is hanging by the wires. At least I wasn't standing under it. I guess I'll call them and see if they'll be kind to me. Have a great day everyone!! :D Steve

Class Map??

Hdrider: The Class map is pretty Classy and we are the Classless Class so we keep it a secret. LOL Kidding aside, the map is on Wanderin's personal web site and is the handwork of Dave Sands. You'll have to contact Wanderin' so she can get you listed on the site and give you the URL and password. Then we can keep track of you and you were thinking you would keep track of us. Ha Ha.

Classless: When I was out walking this morning I kept thinking that something was different about this park. If you remember I've talked about the rancher's cattle getting into the park when the Rio Grande is low and one of you members was upset about all the cowpies. Well, that's it. No Cowpies. Shucks that means no big brown eyes staring through the window at me when I wake up in the morning. And, I guess well have to call off the Chip tossing tournament. And, I was just getting good at it. Darn and they cleaned up all the chips that were here and didn't even leave a stock pile of them to practice with. Not only that but now we have to buy firewood. They made such a nice smelling fire.

Gee, I see Steve44 is on to me...or is he? You notice he didn't take a Steveeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz after writting that long post. I figure if I can keep him off guard he'll get so sleepy I can sneak in on him when it finally get too much for him to stay up and guard that Ice Cream Machine. And that fan dropping out of the ceiling, I changed the phase and the phase capacitor became un-synchronized and let go.

Roger that Awning tape is almost as good as Ducktape but not near as pretty. LOL But, Lynn might not be too happy if you use Duck tape.

Tina & Jeff, by all means come to the casino. We will be around here somewhere and just let us know about when you will be there. I'll sneak the ice cream machine back out (we have it sprayed in camo now), for the occasion. Steve

Yep, we will be around all day. I pm'd our phone numbers, so give us a call when you figure out your schedule. We would be glad to see you guys and catch up. We are parked about 10 miles from the casino, so it won't take us long to get there. We will have to get the ice cream machine out of guarded underground storage, but we did have it sprayed with camo paint so it should be safe for a while. Never know when prying ears are listening. ha ha Steve Oh, yeah I did get a little tired on that earlier long post, so I'll be taking a Steve for a while ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm craving ice cream but it looks like I'm not going to get to the casino for awhile. Minnesota is still having winter! The forecast only goes out to Tuesday but it's saying snow all the way through then. So I came to Rainbow's End thinking it would be a good place to wait. Now they are saying you pay in advance instead of when you leave. Anyone know when it is going to stop snowing in Minnesota? Apparently I need to tell the office here when that is going to be.

So that's what happened. I had to order a new synchronizing kit from fantastic vent corp. The lady was very nice and said "was that IYQ guy fussing with the phases again"? If so we'll send you another one, (this will be protected by a "dephazing force field), free of charge. Wow! Can't beat that kind of service.

Roger, if you hang around Lee long enough you'll know why he's so good at cow-chip tossing. He has way too much piling up and it has to go somewhere.:ph34r:

Yes, we are members, but our regular tire place is not. There is one place in OKC that might do it, but I'm going to have to see his real prices first. Steve

Wrong Steve, I shoot the bull I don't keep him around for the chip. The only time I get chips from the bull is when I just veryily miss. Then I get a pile of chips. But I'll confess, I do get some good practice with the pile of chips he leaves but I use most of them for building fires to cook hotdogs on. There is just something about the special taste the smoke gives them.

It's warm and overcast today. I had a nice walk this morning and then sat and watched the world go by after the walk. Last night I had a small campfire and popped some no salt popcorn. I'm experimenting with it to see what no salt spices taste good on popcorn. so far it's a toss up between Cinnamon and Brown Sugar or a little of both. I use plenty of unsalted butter on it which helps stick the spices to the corn. I tried a little Cayenne Pepper on some. It was pretty good but easy to over do. One of my neighbor came over and talked for a couple of hours by the fire. That's always a plus.

They are using this park as their beta test site so parts of it are working now. I did not have to prepay for the site I moved to today, though, nor tell them how long I plan to be here. Good thing since it depends on the weather in Minnesota.

The Stay and Play rate stays. With it you still get metered electric, too. That ought to make it much more popular. They would have done better to just included the electric in the regular site cost without making it a separate line item. I think $2-4 is too much for daily electric but I don't think $20 for FHU is too much so if it wasn't a line item I would not be fussing.

We always had to pay the electric bill when we left. Are you saying its now included? Not sure if we will be staying 21 days when we go next winter anyway. We will be in a hurry to get to Emerald Cove!!!

We got to Firelake Casino yesterday late afternoon. We'll meet with Steve and Carol today. We searched a lot and asked a bunch of questions then we found it. The ice cream machine and it is good. Probably move on tomorrow continuing our much too early trip back to Denver. Later.
