Hmmmmm some of the class is stuck in the snow, others are hunkered down trying to keep the wind from blowing them away while here in the PNW we have been pretty much having GREAT weather. Yesterday I rode along with a friend up to Canada. She needed to restock her supply of Cranberry Juice. While up there we visited a great Japanese Restaurant for lunch and happened to have guests show up to meet us. Had a great lunch with Doug and Toni and of course we talked about everybody that wasn't there. While lunch was GREAT, the company was even better. so in closing I just need to say one more thing;

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONI

Thank you Joe. Blog to follow. I hope "friend" doesn't mind.

Joe

Joe, You have been taking way too much of that Baaaaaaad Whiskey out on your gooey duck digs. That PNW stands for Pretty Nasty Weather, like in Persistent Natural Watering. The rest of us call that RAIN.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONI.

Today is the last day of this spell of windy weather here. Its is supposed to turn a little cool for one night then back to

Summer. I can take that. I'll start getting the rig ready to roll and then hit the road Monday. It's a long jump over to Oasis State Park from here. 334 miles. I might stop for a couple of days in Bottomless Lakes State Park near Roswell. NM. That's only 254 miles, still a little more than I like to drive but a lot better than 334. If I stop in Roswell, Steve won't know if its me or the Aliens causing all the wierd things to happen. I know he'll probably blame it on me anyway but there is alway that doubt in his mind.

Toni, not a problem there.

Lee, I'm thinking all that wind and being to close the them Flux Capacitors have caused some serious problems in your time continiam. You really need to get over closer to Steve and see if'n you can't get that straightened out. Sun is shining and it's Shorts and Tshirts here today. Heck if'n this kinda change keeps happening the PNW could become the next "Snowbird Haven". ROFLMAO

Joe, Maybe your right about me striking a deal with Steve on that Ice Cream machine. A few days ago I told him I was going to come into town disguised as a tonado. Well, the next day the national weather Service issued a tornado warning for Shawnee and issued another one today. There might be a lynch mob waiting for me when I get there. Steve hasn't posted the last couple of days. I hope he is just busy and did NOT get caught in one of those storms.

I went to Arrey, NM to eat tonight. Its about 5 miles down the road. I got caught in a zero visability dust storm. I couldn't see the end of my own hood. Luckily, it was short lived.

It wasn't IYQ after all. Dang, I heard the storm warnings, hid the IC machine, posted guards, and all it was was a tornado!! I almost forgot that they pack quite a wallop too and didn't go into stealth mode.

We did get the storm front a little while ago. Most of it was north of us, but we still got 60mph winds and a lot of rain. A few small tornado's south west of here, but minimal damage. Now it is quiet and getting cold. It was about 80 before the storm front came through, and now it's going to be in the 30's tonight with a high in the 40's tomorrow. We have to head out Friday to lake Keystone near Tulsa to camp with a group of photographers this weekend, so I hope all this weather takes a hike! Steve

Lee, even though Steve has now posted that he's alright, I think you best be "Sneaking" into town.

Steve, when you said you managed to hide the Ice Cream machine, the least you could have done was tell me you were shipping it here and PAID THE SHIPPING. :P

Joe. I know your just trying to coax me up there with your Ice Cream machine scheme but I'm on to you. How much Baaaaaaaaaaad whisky did Steve promise you for diverting my attention away from Shawnee. If you had tried to use Cranberry juice for bait. It might have worked.

It's still too far away to make it over there in two days without using the Delorian time machine and it doesn't work any more because Steve took the Flux Capacitor out of it. However I could use some help fending off Joe now that he has teamed up with Steve.

I do, in fact, still have the flux capacitor, and it's covered by the Good Sam's roadside assistance program, so I should be able to get it going again. If so, I can suspend the ice cream machine in the middle of the space time continuum, between Joe and I, and keep it hidden that way. Now I was able to modify the intake fusion gate to be able to accept baaad whiskey as fuel, so as soon as I get the shipment from Joe I can get the ball rolling.

You can see that there's not too much going on over here!! I just turned the block heater on, so the engine will be nice and warm to start in the morning. It's supposed to be in the 30's, but we are heading out to lake keystone near Tulsa and I want to get a good spot, with a southern open area for the satellite. It is supposed to get up to almost 70 by tomorrow afternoon, so maybe I'll get to try out the new outboard this weekend.

Carol and I just celebrated our 32nd anniversary yesterday with a nice dinner at the Cheesecake factory. Can't believe she's put up with me that long. It's been a great life so far and we hope to roll this deer herd on many more years. You know, yes deer I'll take out the garbage, yes deer, I'll hook up the car, yes deer, I'll wash the dishes, yes deer, I'll get the chairs out of the basement. Hmmmmmm you get the drift.......

ATTENTION ALL TIME/SPACE GOBLINS AND GREMLINS AND FIRE LAKE GRAND SECURITY PERSONNEL

Be on the lookout for BAAAAAAAAAD WHISKY being transfered between Washington State and Oklahoma. It is expected to be labled as Time/space fuel. When you find it call all your buddies and have a party I'll furnish the chips and dips and an ample suppy of Alkacelcer.

What a difference a day makes! We have survived the "Yogi Blizzard of 2013" here in Wyoming... the sun came out, the hundreds of semi trucks stranded at the truck stop next door got to leave, snow is melting, and the wind is not blowing so we got to put our slides out again after five days... yippee! I think we will make it! Talk about an adventure... 18 inches of snow, incredible winds, very cold overnight temps, and many lessons (Tom has an "oops" story to share around the campfire :). One thing we are pretty sure of... as much as we love our children, we will NOT come this far north ever again in April! But, beyond this bit of weather-related inconveniences, we are well and happy... life on the road is good. We will be leaving Cheyenne on Sunday and heading to Ft. Collins and then on to Denver.

Lee - We have been getting a kick out of your posts. Hope you get to get on with your travels soon. And, we must learn about this ice cream machine you all keep talking about :)

Steve and Carol - though we don't [yet] know you... happy anniversary. People keep telling us we will really enjoy getting to know you both, so we look forward to that one day. Actually, lots of names we see on the forum that it will be fun to put faces to and get to know in the future.

Tina & Jeff, Lynn & Roger, Diane & Glyn... safe travels as you move towards Cherry Creek. We look forward to seeing you all there! Julie and Mike, too, if that works with your schedules. Hope the eye surgery goes well for you, Mike.

To those we will be seeing in So. Colorado this summer... summer really IS coming and we will have a blast! Everyone else... be well and stay safe! See you all down the road! Dianne & Tom

Dianne & Tom

Tom and Dianne: Make a tent with you jacket over your computer screen when you read this so nobody else can see it over your shoulder.

A few years ago I was traveling through Oklahoma and Steve and Carol were staying at the Fire Lake Casino while they finished some business on selling their home and Photo Business. In the post on this forum before I got there they told me about the free Ice Cream Machine in the Casino. When we went over to the Casino for dinner we ate so much and talked so much that we completely forgot about the Ice Cream machine. Sooooooo when I finally went on my way and we were posting on the forum again I accused Steve of hiding the Ice Cream machine. ( No I wouldn't do anything like that. Would I???) then a couple of years ago I stopped there again. And Steve posted that he was hidding the Ice Cream Machine. But Carol made it a point to get both of us at the Ice Cream Machine and took a Photo of us eating Ice Cream. So Now every time someone talks about stopping in to see Steve and Carol I warn them that He uses that for bait to get people to stop and see them but hides it before they get there. And of course any time I even think about heading that way the whole thing starts up again. When you finally get to meet Steve and Carol ask Steve about the sawed off shotgun. Now there's a story. I forget now who was with him but it was one of our group. They were heading for a restaurant and ended up spending half the evening at the police station. That's all I'm going to tell you about that. The suspense of waiting for the whole store is worth the wait.

OK now you can let the other read the rest of this.

It was a very nice day today so I cleaned myself up a bit and went to Truth or Consequenses for a half rack of ribs. And to pick up some veggies before I head out of here Monday. ( I'll use any excuse to go for ribs.) We finally got a Park Host in here. He stopped by and talked for about an hour today. He's a nice guy. His wife is a lot younger than he is so, it looks like she does a good share of the work on keeping the park tidy. I topped off the gas tank in the truck so probably won't drive anywhere else until I leave. The route I'm taking is void of towns and gas stations and its 334 mile to Oasis SP. I'll stop at every gas station I see and top it off. Maybe there will be a bit of that Baaaaaaaaadd Whiskey left over after the party so I can use it as fuel for the truck. No, that truck wanders all over the road now. I'd hate to see what it would do with a bit of that Baaaaaad Whiskey in it. I think it has a loose nut behind the steering wheel.

Now Lee, I'M SHOCKED that you would thinkI'd stoop to out right trickery. And I know you ain't into that there BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD Whiskey, so really if'n I were to try something as cheap and low down as that I'd prolly have mentioned something about the 30 cases of "Cranberry Juice" in the Cranberry Juice Room out in the shop here at Spiker's RV Resort.
