Wanderin
Jeri, we're not sure where we're headed after Bend. May check out the SKP park in Sutherlin, OR and head over to Crater Lake? When are you and Terry making your way south? Hopefully, we can run into each other before AZ! Roger Like you, our plans are up in the air. We have nothing in concrete about heading south since we have several things in this area on the chalkboard but probably not before November or maybe even December. Talk is cheap though but I'll keep you posted if you haven't already moved down the road. Onthego
Roger - The pin moves tomorrow. Coeur d' Alene is a pretty place and the Elks is nice. No trains. Going to Grand Coulee Dam then Leavenworth, Wa. A day or 2 in each place. May spend a week in Walla Walla, Wa. After that will be Oregon. You getting rid of your boarders (mice)? IYQ
The mesquite pancake breakfast went over well again this morning. We had about double the attendance of the last one. Seems like people that are not living here in the park heard about the last one. Now we are about out of supplies. I'm going to order some more mesquite flour and prickly pear syrup to have on hand when the gang is all here in October. Then if they want any more repeats the organization can buy the flour and syrup. Yesterday's walk went well. I increased the distance about a block. I'll hold that distance for about a week then increase it again. The ferrous sulfate seems to be doing the trick. My blood iron content is up but not quite high enough. As much as I hate that stuff I'll keep using it as long as it gives me more energy. One of our newer members paints novelty license plates and sells them at flee markets. He painted a plate for my golf cart "Lee's Limo". It sure looks snazzy. He said he has ordered some new type of material to do another with. Now all I have to do is come up with a way to mount them on that thin plastic body. td12class
Hi all... hearing some chatter about Utah. After our Colorado family/friends visits in October, we will arrive in Moab, Utah early in November. Look forward to our third year at the Moab Folk Festival November 7, 8, 9. Will probably hang around the area for awhile, depending on the weather. So, any of you we might connect with there, just let us know Dianne & Tom Quote Tom & Dianne WartmanClass of 2012, and happy members of the Classless Class2004 Newmar Mountain Aire MH2005 Chevy Trailblazer www.tdhomestead.blogspot.com
steved44
Well, I looks like we may be heading into Utah sometime in September or so (depending on the chalk). We are spending some time in Colorado from about the end of August until mid September. We were going to stay at my sister's house, but it seems the local police have taken a new approach to big vehicles parked on the street (they don't allow it anymore. We may stay at my nieces house in Firestone or at St Vrain State park or both for a time. Then wonder into Utah. A plan? naah! But we'll keep an eye out for any of you guys that are cruising around over there. IYQ
From the looks of today's posts the classless class is going to have a Rally in SE Utah. I wish I could be there to harass everyone. That sure is interesting country. The last time I was there it was late September and there was ice on my windshield every morning. I have a picture of the brightest double rainbow I've ever seen at Bryce. And can still taste the apples and pears that were growing at Fruita campground in Capitol Reef. You had to fight the deer off to get them. They were in the orchards by the herd. I had one of the cowgirls fry me up a bunch of loose fry hamburger today. It makes it easy to just put a couple of big spoons full in with frozen veggies then zap them in the microwave for dinner when I don't want to go out. Tonight I tinkered with the drip irrigation system cleaning the mud out of the lines and drip heads. I still have 4 or 5 lines to get working again but I'll do them when it's cool in the morning. It looks like we are cooling down a little. The forecast for this week is mostly in the 80's. I'm ready for it. I can't wait to be able to complain about the cold weather again.
