Henrys Lake Park in Island Park, Idaho

Recommended Posts

We’re work camping at Henrys Lake Park in Island Park, Idaho. They are looking for a few volunteers and seasonal employees. Volunteers only work 24 hours (3-8hour days per week). Seasonal s work 32-to-40-hour week. We have a fantastic team this year, and an easy to get along with ranger. They are looking for, camp host, maintenance, and kiosk. In exchange you get a full hook 50 amp up site. Henrys Lake is one of the best fishing lakes in Idaho, with lots of other places to fish in the area. It’s located 15 miles outside the West Yellowstone entrance. At 6500 feet elevation the weather is great, warm days with highs in the mid-80s and cool nights. Bring your toys, boat, kayak, bikes, and ATV/UTV there are lots of trails and water to play in. Message us here.

It was more than a few years ago, but we spent several months as RV volunteers just down the road at Harriman State Park and we visited where you are on several occasions. We found the Idaho Parks Dept. to be a very good group to volunteer with.

This is an awesome location.  We spent two weeks just down the road at Bootjack road.  The only downside is grocery shopping, but it's not that difficult.

I'll will say you are in a terrific place and area. Many summers, we would spend many weeks near you at Valley View RV Park. Many early mornings I would walk from the RV park to the state park to the pay kiosks. I'd always have wonderful conversations with the volunteers. Also, on those walks there was no telling what wildlife you may see. Enjoy your time there!
