Boat tour of the lake is always fun.

Driving tour down the east the lake is pretty nice too, lunch at an interesting looking marina can be fun too.

Well we have made it to Cody. When the Cat dealer came to see us this morning, they asked us to start it and darn didn't the thing turn right over and start. It's hard to tell what is wrong when it doesn't act up. Anyway, we got the windshield fixed, and the overheating problem seems to be taken care of. We had no problem going up the hills on the way to Cody. And the new batteries are working good.

As far as the starting problem, it seems to be loosing its prime sometimes and the dealer said it could be a check valve. We were going to have them replace it however, to get to it they would have to take the whole bedroom apart, and we would have to stay in a motel because it would take a couple of days. And it was only 50 - 50 that would solve the problem. We had just had enough of Rock Springs, so after they got everything put back together, we took off. We just arrived at Walmart for the night, going into the State Park here tomorrow for a couple of days.

Sorry we didn't get to see you Dianne. But since we have reservations in South Dakota on the 11th, we are really short of time to see Cody, Little Big Horn and Devils Tower.

Roger sorry about the windshield. Ours took a week to come in to the glass place after he got the okay from insurance. I wanted to pay the $100 deductible but guess the insurance company wanted us to use the diminishing deductible because we didn't pay anything. Would have been $1300 if we had to pay for it!! And that's only 1/2 windshield!!

Thanks Stan.

Lavins we recently did Little Big Horn and Devils Tower. For the LBH we stayed at http://www.historicwest.com/ and at Devils Tower we stayed at http://www.rvparkreviews.com/view_campground_review_details.php?cgid=3964&region=Wyoming&city=Devils-Tower&park=Devils-Tower-Nat-l-Monument-/-Belle-Fourche-Campground . Pretty amazing places to visit. In Cody if you haven't been to the museum it's a must see.

Safe travels everyone.

No real opinion on the Casino it is on the reservation. Campground was nice. Probably don't need a reservation, they did a 15% discount for Escapees. Across from the entrance to LBH is a trading post with food. Try the Indian taco.

Well, it looks like where we bought the motor home (Lazydays) is still biting me in the butt. When I bought the insurance through them they asked if I wanted a windsheild rider on the policy. Said yes but, it turns out that Illinois (where we have it registered) doesn't allow for that. Would've been nice if they'd have let me know! Gonna have to pay the $1K deductible to get it fixed. May have to ask Tom & Dianne if they need an extra hand here...heck, the neighbors are real nice. Last evening they fed us well!

Day trip to the Tetons this a.m. Life is good! :)

Roger, we'll pay for your windshield if you pay for Tina's dog bite? That really sucks that you weren't told. Have a good time in the Tetons.

Travel safe.

Ouch Roger ( oops Jeff), I may have an opening in the war on goat heads for you. With the recent rains I'm right about where I started. Goat heads everywhere. When I had the mishap that destroyed my Ford last year the insurance company tried to get out of paying everything they could. I finally recouped most of it from the other guy's insurance but it was a hassle. Insurance companies are all about what they can stick you for not what they can protect you from.

I didn't try to hoe down goat heads this morning. It's too muddy. It drizzled rain most of the night so the water soaked in and made mud. While walking this morning I could see new goat head plants all over the place. Oh well I have the rest of summer to whack their heads off. I don't have much of anything planned this morning. I might go over to the eye place and set up an appointment for cataract removal. I hate to do it but it should be done while I'm still in good enough shape to handle it. Smile it take fewer muscles than Frowning.

I relate to day to Lee's challenges with his doctor. I asked mine today about this shortness of breath I've been having lately. She ordered a blood test--said negative proves something but positive proves nothing. Came back positive. Going to have a CT with contrast in about an hour and a half to be sure there's no blood clot in my lung. Whoopee! Here we go again.

Dang Roger, at this rate you should loose a lot of weight at least!

Finished getting the bus serviced at Speedco, and got the new ice maker installed, but got a surprise in the process. The guy at Speedco called me over and showed me a cracked flex-pipe under my engine!! :o It was a 3" pipe and cracked about 80% around. Yikes! Now I was getting ready to leave in the morning so this was going to put a big kink in our plans. I called freightliner, and united engines and they couldn't do it, but they recommended a muffler shop (Sooner Muffler) that might be able to. I called and they said "come on over"! It took them about an hour to get me fixed up with a new flex pipe (stainless steel), new clamps and out the door! What a relief! It was pure luck that they didn't have anyone in their shop at the time. We are going to a secret 30th anniversary party for Carol's sister in Wisconsin, and we sure needed to leave tomorrow to make it there on time. Steve

Well guys, it sounds like there is a few of us that have had to take a bite of that proverbial sandwich recently! As they say: "Life is what happens while you're making plans for other things".

Lynn and I were headed up to see the Tetons yesterday when I made the mistake of stopping in at the glass shop to check on things for the possible replacement in Jackson. The owner wanted me to hang for five minutes so that he could call the insurance gal and get the approval to go ahead and order the windshield. If we were to get it here on a two day expedited shipment for install on Friday it needed to be done before noon. Hour and a half latter we were still waiting for her to pick up the phone. Seems they were haggling over the cost. I left her a stern message saying that it ain't easy or cheap to get a windshield replaced in the boonies of WY and didn't think that the company wanted it on their head if I ended up with a broken windshield on mine driving around the West shopping for the right price! That seemed to work as then magically she got back and approved the work. Unfortunately, we had to blow of the Tetons for the day but, they'll still be there next time! Being with friends like Tom and Dianne for moral support during this hassle sure seems to make it all seem trivial too.

Jeff, I don't wanna bite on that. Linda, I hope that things work out for the best for you and Steve I'm glad to hear that your problems are behind you too. Lee, you should write a book and call it "The Goathead and I". With your wit and humor I'm sure it would be a best seller! :D

The goat head War is at a standstill this morning for re-arming. I bought a bench vice yesterday but had to go back this morning to get the proper bolts, nuts and washers to mount it on my shop bench. After mounting it I took a new file to the hula hoe and got it sharp enough that when the goat heads see it coming they will get split vision and think there are twice as many of me. When I get cooled down after all that work. I'll take the mechanized battle wagon out to launch an attack. (read golf cart). After all that cool rainy weather we had, the weatherman's wee-gee board says it's going back into the ninety's with sunny sky's for a few days. At least the small goat heads will dry out and blow away instead of re-rooting.

The Doctor's office called again and said I should come in a couple months from now and have my kidney function checked because it was lower than the last time on June 2. I only have one kidney so that is a wake up call. I sure hope that one isn't failing. Maybe I should wrap myself in tuck tape or drink some Gorilla glue to keep me from falling apart. Well, I'm off to launch a mechanized attack on the goat heads. Have fun.

We are very very sad today. We put our big dog Megan to sleep today. Her quality of life was going fast. Extremely tough decision but it was best for her. She was 12. Slept by our bed every night of her life with us. She was 9 weeks old when we got her. Very sad.

Tina and Jeff... we are SO very sorry for your loss! Remembering some of our discussions on the subject when you were here, and realize what a tough decision you made. There are no words we can say to help, but we know that you made this decision with love. Please know that we are thinking of you and wishing you strength at this tough time. When we sit with Lynn and Roger this evening by the fire, we will all send up all good thoughts for you both! Hugs, Dianne & Tom

Jeff & Tina, we are so sorry to hear the news of Megan's passing. She was such a good girl. You all have been through so much these past few months. It is so tough to lose a furry family member but, rest assured that you've done the right thing.

Our deepest regrets, Roger & Lynn

Tina and Jeff, you did the right thing. I'm sure Megan is in a better place now with a lot less pain. It's tough but the best thing you could do for her.

Jeff and Tina - I am so sorry about Megan. But you did the very best thing for her and you did it with love. My heart goes out to you because it is a sad time but soon you'll be able to remember all the wonderful special memories you created with her. Hugs to both of you from both of us.

Jeff and Tina, Sorry to hear about you're loss. The last time we had to put a friend down like that was roughly 8 years ago and I still remember balling like a baby while at the vet like it was yesterday. But we all need to do what's best and I'm sure you did.

Tina & Jeff, so sorry to hear about Megan. Know that she's probably romping in the place where all good dogs go when it's their time. We lost our little dog Cuddles that hung with us for 14 years and we still think of her all the time. Here's a hug from us to you. Steve & Carol

We did get our "pin pulled" and are now in Marshfield Missouri. Small little campground at the information center, but had full hook up and a pool. Right next to a fine Mexican restaurant too. Feels good to be rolling again. Steve

Good news; bad news. Good: No blood clot in my lung. Bad: I may have Valley Fever. Going to present that idea to my doctor and see what she thinks.

Linda

Linda - when will you find out about the Valley Fever? My friend Dianna has been fighting it for two years now but is feeling much better.

Thanks for all the kind words. They are much appreciated. It was our first time to put a furkid to sleep. She went peacefully, we were there with her. We know what you're saying Dave.
