Classless, eh? Why not just put my name at the top of this thread? I have no class what-so-ever!

I believe that I did join the class of '07, but it took me till last fall to get a rig under me. I am currently at The Ranch in New Mexico. Have to head north tomorrow or Sunday, to be in Edmonton by April 15th for Drs. appt. Would like to wait a couple more weeks, but I ain't the boss.

Will be spending a couple months or so there, visiting friends and looking after business. Then it will be cross country, visiting along the way, to my home turf in New Brunswick to visit family until the snow flies. Especially grandson, who is three and "L'il Wassit" who is due in May.

Hope to meet some of you along the way. -Steve

Well, I'm not sure this Class-less Class is ready for two class-less Canadian couples! or two class-less Steves either. But WELCOME.

Not much going around here today. I'm shopping for a couple of new front tires for BessyBus. My rear's, which were original were replaced a year ago last December, so they are in good shape. The front two had been replaced when I bought the bus, so they were newer than the rears by three years. Now the right front is starting to show wear (I'm suspecting the shocks need replacing), so I'm going to go ahead and take care of it now while we're sitting for a couple of months. I think I'll go with Michelin XZA3 "H" rated tires that I put on the rear as they seem to be fine and I do have a Michelin dealer close to me that I can deal with. The previous owner had put a couple of firestones on the front, and they ride ok, but the load rating is "G" and I have to run more pressure in them to carry the weight on the front axel. Now If my credit card will handle the weight!!

I put a macerator system on the bus last year and up to a few weeks ago it was working fine. It has a pass through line for the gray water, so if you are staying somewhere for a while, you treat it just like a regular sewer hose and it passes the gray through without you having to activate the macerator. Well, it plugged up! Because the gauges for my tanks don't read very well, I didn't know that the gray was not draining until it backed up in the shower. Aarrrgghhh! Anyway, I wound up taking the system all apart and found the bypass hose clogged up on one end. Now after only one skinned knuckle, I have everything draining again like it was supposed to. Nothing like a little plumbing to round out your week.

I have my new little outboard motor ready to go, but now weather is moving in (maybe severe), so I won't be able to take it over to the lake and try it out until sometime next week. Now all I have to do is get the old fishing rod ready.

Quite a few of you guys are talking about being somewhere in Colorado this summer. We are going there (just north of Denver) to visit my sister the first part of July, and then after that heading over to the four corners area/monument valley/Zion etc: Just checking to see if we may be on a collision course with anyone. Well all the chores are done except dumping and taking on fresh water. I could leave in the morning but I don't think so. They are predicting 60 mph wind gust and dust storms. The wind would be pushing so that isn't much of a problem but I sure don't want to get caught in a zero visability dust storm with my rig. I don't think the other cars would bounce off very well and I don't want to run over anyone myself. So I guess I'll twiddle my thumbs for a day or two.

I took a couple cowgirls out to dinner tonight. One of them is brand new to RVing. She bought a 40ft Alegro and had never driven anything but a car before. I sure enjoyed her telling about her 1st driving experience in LA, CA no less. She got this far without any major damage to the paint job but the first RV Park she stayed in they were replacing a roof near her and a wind storm blew a sheet of metal that hit her rig and put a major scratch in it. The park paid for the repair but she had to stay in a hotel for two days while the paint dried. We talked for over two hours. It's a wonder they didn't throw us out of the place.

Its supposed to be windy Tuesday also but not as bad. I don't know if I'll try to leave or just wait till Wednesday.

I've been alternating driving and sitting as the winds alternate fairly calm and very strong. Should finally make it to Austin, Texas, tomorrow where I hope to get a few minor things taken care of at Sportsmobile. They don't know I'm coming since I didn't know I was either before they went home Friday night. So, I could be there a few days if they are too busy to work me in. Still too cold to go to Minnesota anyway.

I had to hook up to dump and get fresh water. I was going to just keep on going but a dust storm changed my mind. So, I just pulled back into the same spot and will be ready to make a break for it torrow. All I'll have to do is crank up the stabilizers and put away the weather station and hit the road.

I only have 72 miles to go so I should be in Caballo before the afternoon winds get up to full speed again.

Yes. A couple days after this coming storm passes probably. May hang at the casino a bit depending on what Minnesota is doing then. I'm anxious to get home but I'm not crazy. Well, not crazy enough to go home with snow still on the ground.

Windstorm in Palm Springs yesterday left the trailer rocking like a boat at sea. Didn't sleep much was afraid a wind gust might overturn it. The whether channel listed 85mph gusts.

Welcome Dave and Diane. Jump right in and join the fray. But I must warn you. Anything you say will be taken out of text, imbellished, misqoted, then tossed right back at you. Because we are all a little Classless in this bunch. Hope you will join us on one of our January get-to-gathers in Q or Yuma or where ever it happens to be. This is a great extended family.

Steve44: I'm headed in your general direction but it will be a while before I get there. (folks, I'm throwing him off guard so I can sneak in before he gets that ice cream machine hid again. Don't tell Steve.

Itchy: I don't beleive I welcomed you aboard either. So what I said to Dave goes for you too. I hope to meet you down the road somewhere.

Gang: I'm in Caballo State Park, NM this evening after a rock and roll night. Yesterday I was all ready to come and while dumping we got a dust storm so I changed my mind. I wish I had come on over here. After I went back to the same place I was parked before the wind died down for about two hour. I could have made it over here easy. But then it came back with vengeance. It woke me up about every 15 minutes until I finally gave up at 3 AM and dressed again and drank tea all night. This campground in down below the dam and the wind goes over the top of us. High hills on the other side of the river also force the wind up and there are large trees to my west that filter the wind also. I would have been much better off here rather than in Deming. It only took 1 1/2 hours to get here this morning.

Anything you say will be taken out of text, imbellished, misqoted, then tossed right back at you. LOL,,, sounds just like being at home!!! I'm used to that already LOL!!!

We are just up the road a piece in Elephant Butte NM. And your right,, it was a rock and roll night for sure!!

I didn't sleep the night before because my knee was hurting from a hike we did at the City of Rocks the day before and then not much sleep last night with the wind. I'm surprised I'm awake now.

We are spending our last few days in Georgia at Tallulah Gorge, before heading into North Carolina for a while. Hoping to see some of the Blue Ridge Pky, but we Probably won't tow the trailer on it. We still have a couple of weeks before we need to be in DC, so we will spend most of it in VA. Hoping to meet up with Charlie. I'd love to see Lee And Loralie but I think they are too far west of our route.

Hey, question for anyone who has been to Canada. we are figuring on spending about 6 weeks in the Nova Scotia area. If you've been up there, what did you have to do for customs, and did you need to make reservations at RV parks? We are hoping to Wing It as usual.

We're also trying to figure out an internet plan, since we are both addicted to our iproducts.

Lynn and I sat thru our first time share pitch yesterday...what a weird experience! Once the guy found out that we were "homeless" he couldn't end the session fast enough. When I asked him "do I still get the train ride" he said no you have to sit thru the entire 90 minute spiel and that it would be a waste of both of our time. I said play on...I'm retired...got all kinds of time. Had to keep pressing him to continue and that I might be interested after speaking with my financial advisor. Of course they wanted me to sign on the line there and then. We have free first class tickets for the Verde Canyon Railroad tour tomorrow! Not sure that I'll do this again however.

Hey Sue, I will put the link to Peter and Beatrix's blog here. They are not SKP's but have been adopted by our group. They have a home in Campobello Island and are there now.

As for the border, you need your passport and something for Dozer saying he's had his shots etc. #1 rule, answer only the questions the border guard asks, DO NOT volunteer anything else. And you know, no guns!

As for reservations, hey man, it's Canada not Mars. Things are the same here as they are there.

And personally you are going to the wrong side of the country.

We showed up for a sales talk one time in the rain. Was supposed to be a 45 minute presentation. We stayed for an hour before anyone showed up because they thought no one would come in the rain. We made them give us our free gifts and left because we'd already given them our time. It wasn't our fault they didn't come and we were on a road trip with a further destination so needed to move on. I still have some of the casserole dishes that were part of our gifts and we used the gas money they gave us to pay for the detour.

Sue I made the mistake of telling them I had a bb rifle. They searched our motorhome and left a cupboard door unlatched. When I turn it was an avalanche of plastic dishes. Not even sure if the looked at the paper work for the animals. They asked us to take the dogs out but could leave the cats. Took 20 minutes and we were on the road again.

Roger and Linda those stories are too funny.

We are in Tyler, Tx. Yesterday mid 80's today mid 40's and rain. Will be here for a couple of days then ??? Probably will get to Denver early (before 4/22) to try and get a leak fixed.

The wind storms of the past few nights about did in my slide topper. Today, I got the ladder out and cut off about 6 inches from both ends to get rid of the torn and frayed canvas. I washed it good and tomorrow I'll tape the edge with awning tape. Maybe I'll get another year out of it.

I need a good rain to wash the dust off the truck and trailer. It spit rain during that dust storm in Deming. That made a mess. Ya know, if I painted the rig a speckled brown the mud wouldn't show.
