Linda, I’m not sure but have been told that the rest stops may be open but the bathrooms at the rest stops are closing. I hit the road next so will know for sure then.

I am in FL in a private park just down the road from the Escapees Co-Op in Wachaula that was full so I couldn’t get in. Was just notified that all activities in the park are being canceled. Bingo, poker, shuffleboard etc and the pool is closed as well as all buildings, clubhouse, bathrooms, laundry etc. The office is open but locked and all activity with the office must be done by telephone including payment for rent and electric.

Thanks Denny. I have been using the same account now for about 15 years. He is great. I pay very little in income taxes due to his ability to get me the maximum depreciation on my property. What I save on tax more than offsets what I pay him vs turbo tax.

Not sure but have been told that the park in Temecula CA, Johoba, is also closed due to a resident testing positive. I have not verified this info

I too have rental properties with depreciation schedules and have to file a Schedule C for each property in addition to my 1040. The IRS computers will more likely kick out your return for a review by a live person if done by the individual rather than a professional tax preparer, mostly for math errors. So paying a professional is like buying insurance so as not as likely to be reviewed. Just my two cents. Hopefully I don’t have to pay tax on that two cents, lol lol lol.

Canadians may still cross going north. All other crossing must be essential trade. No tourist crossing will be allowed at this time. Not sure if returning an RV to a Canadian owner would be considered essential. The owner may have to pick up their rig at the border and drive it across themself.

The IRS did not extend the time to file. You still must file by April 15th. However, if you owe taxes you have 90 days interest free to remit payment.

I got an email from Red Rock 4X4 an outfit out of Moab UT that has an off road rally every year at Easter time. The rally has been canceled. The local government (not sure if city or county) is closing all campgrounds for the next 30 days and is making everyone already there to leave the campground they are in. I have NOT verified this info. It’s just an FYI to everyone that you should call ahead to any campground you are heading to anywhere for the next few weeks.

Has he considered flying home and leaving his rig in storage at the Yuma Co-Op. He can always get someone in a few months to drive it up to MT for him when the weather is better.

You just named one of the most crowded parks, Yosemite. Yellowstone, Zion, and Grand Canyon are also very popular. Don’t think they would be safer.

I got an email from Chase and BofA both telling me that they are remaining open but to make sure I have their mobil app and to try to use the app rather than go into a branch. I also got an email from Geico saying to use their app as well.

Many sports, NBA, March Madness, MLB etc have canceled or postponed their season, many attractions, Disney, Legoland, Bush Gardens, Universal Studios etc. have temporarily closed and now I have even heard that all Apple retail stores are closing. Will the Federal Government close the National Parks in the near future? I hope not, but if they don’t would you go visit?

Kirk, before I bought my Class A I had a toy hauler and a 2012 Ford F-350 diesel. When towing the 5th wheel I always fueled up in the truck lanes. My Ford had no problem with the larger nozzles anywhere.

The bottom line is where can I fuel up for the least cost. I will use my TSD card at Loves and get the best discount and lowest cost for my diesel fuel. I will no longer use my GS discount at FFJ.

I was told that State Farm, at least in SD, will only write a liability policy if you have a homeowners policy with them. But i don’t have a homeowners policy if I am full time.

Not sure about FL but in SD State Farm will not write full time coverage. It may be possible that they consider anyone with a mail forwarding address in FL is a full timer. Try calling an agent and don’t tell them it is a mail forwarding address, just give them the address as the location where you garage your RV if that is the address on your registration.

I would never use a bladder for a black tank. I was talking about the 63 Gallon Truck Bed Water Tank Caddy linked in the OPs thread. In the picture it looks like a solid plastic tank not much different to the material used in a black tank on your RV.

Yes Linda, after your 50% discount for weekdays at any PA campground you can use any other discount you have available like Good Sam, FMCA, AARP, AAA, Escapees. And yes each PA park has its own rules on when and how long you can stay. But it is still a good deal. Thank you for pointing out that you can piggy back discounts. And agesilaus, if you are disabled you get a free lifetime pass for all Federal parks but I don’t think you need a note from your Dr. I got mine at the entrance to Yosemite because I had handicapped plates. They gave it to me on the spot. But that was years ago and the rules may have changed.

I was there last Nov for Thanksgiving and observed serval RVs being weighed. It may have changed since then. I would call the office.
