    Classy RV Park

And the name of the park is?
  2. He also unloaded the front axle by about 800 lb. So is that not to be included in the trailer weight? Isn't that part of the tractor weight?
  3. Reminds me of the time our golden retriever got a cholla in her mouth. A hair comb worked fine getting it out. A wonderful and loving dog but not too smart!

    Engine heater

Mine did that. Just the water getting hot around the heater.

    Off road and winter

I think the answer is; they have a heavy pin weight to load the rear axles and this also unloads the front axle.
  6. What is wrong with an air bag suspension front axle versus leaf spring front axle? Do I suspect "mushy" steering and handling? I would think the ride would be smoother.
  7. Go to Google Maps and search for "propane filling stations".
  8. 2006 Volvo 780 with D12D engine Per OP 1st post
  9. What is the purpose of this procedure? How is it safety related or? Is there any way to bypass this?
  10. I would go with Chad's explanation in the HDT section. He has the qualifications I do believe.
  11. I believe he is talking about US95 which is not an Interstate. I believe it is a two lane highway. At least in Arizona it is. GaryD
  12. Back in the fifties us old racers used to rotate the gauges so that at normal operation the needles were pointing up. Made it easy with analog gauges to tell at a glance if everything was okay. GaryD
  13. Hi Dave, Yes, we have camped many years in the LTVA area where you are and at the BLM area north of Quartzsite. Met many long time friends and bluegrass pickers there. Many a nights around campfires there and at bluegrass festivals singing and picking! Enjoy your retirement. Gary D
  14. Hey, Dave did you make it down to Senator Wash? What did you think of the area? Gary D
  15. Dave, we camped at Senators Wash (Imperial Dam) from 1995 to 2012 and really loved the area. Lots of room to camp and spread out. We did a lot of hiking, but not SxS riding. It is a vast area and I'm sure there are lots of riders there. Close enough to Yuma for supplies, and dates and date shakes at Bard. The Army Proving Grounds are adjacent to Senators Wash and is open to the public and if you are a vet there is a small PX. Also, a Chapel where we worked with the Chaplain with our music ministry. A great area, I highly recommend it. Just go south on 95 from where you are and turn west at the "big guns". Stop and take a look at the equipment there.

  17. Here is an interesting article I ran across about the development of "downspeeding" in the post 2010 engines. Interesting read. https://www.truckinginfo.com/155916/powertrain-specs-more-science-than-art
  18. On my baby Cat 3126b I have the weedburner exhaust as shown. Never been a problem. I would not recommend pointing it down; too much dust.
  19. I thought you could not register an HDT with a 5th wheel in Florida. Only bumper pull?
  20. My prayers go out to the families and loved ones of those who gave their lives for us, so we can enjoy the freedoms we have in this country. Gary D
