    Applying Decals

Decals, or vinyl? There's a big difference. I've never seen decals applied dry. As Darryl said, if dry, make sure you got it positioned correctly. I've done a few vinyl signs and had no problem. Use tape to position/hold everything where you want it and start peeling and pressing as you go, slowly.
  3. I know what's gonna top my Christmas list. 😁 Ya never know. Found a motorcycle under the tree once..........
  4. Plain bearings like lots 'o grease. Sealed bearings,,,,, a little dab will do ya.
  5. I doubt that gr 8 bolt is any better than a gr 5, or gr 2 for that matter, as in this application, it's no better than a cotter pin, as it has no load. Don't get me wrong, gr 8 has it's place, it's just not every place.
  6. Hmmmmm, just a little faster and no muffler needed, cuz the sound won't keep witch'ya.
  7. Ummm, I've retired. Only planted two tomato plants, no corn or soybeans. Now we can go play with the other olde phartes.
  8. Maybe some retired farmer with Shrek hands did your soldering........
  9. Every interstate commercial truck needs an ifta sticker, whether or not you actually purchase any fuel is irrelevant...
  10. Depending on your state of domocile, you may not have a choice. For instance, our farm straddles the Ohio/Indiana line. I could title in either state, but neither offers the option of private truck with a gvwr high enough to catch out truck. Thus, MH was the way to go, and in Ohio, it was stupid easy. Indiana is nearly as easy. Do your homework and make a list of the pros and cons of each. Assign a value (score?) to each item on the lists and see which way wins.
  11. almost had a coffee splutter incident😮
  12. The mark of a good teacher.👍
  13. Where did you source the bad alternator? I've had bad experience with rebuilds from the discount auto stores (Auto Zone, O'Reilley's, Advance, etc. I once drove 50 miles to put a rebuild on daugher's car, late on a Sunday night, in blowing snow, only to have the "new" unit go up in smoke within 30 seconds of start-up. Had to squeeze 5 college girls, plus wife and myself, in our crew cab. Took the offending piece back and got one from a source I trust.
  14. I like Whenitworks. 🤔

    Front Spoiler

Al, Those air dams don't work well for moving gravel................. Been there.
  17. Looking at your profile, I see you're in the Houston, TX area. Exile just got his HDT registered there, and Big 5er knows a bit about this as well. This was discussed at length just a couple weeks ago. A quick search might yeild some answers.
  18. Let's assume the hitch is operating in it's sweet spot of about 50 psi. When you unhitch, the head rises, and we would expect to hear a rush of air escaping, at 50 psi. But in reality, your pressure is near zero, because you've removed the load. Thus, the air escapes very slowly. It's likely that the leveling valve is fine.

    Test

Yup, that's what I've used for a long time. Issue was getting the pics from the cloud to that site. Did I mention Chrome is a PITA?

    Test

I was testing because I was whining to my daughter about how much i hate this Chromebook, and want my old pc w/ windows xp back. She was demonstrating that I really can post pics. But it takes several minutes, and 3-5 more steps, than the old way. That 5er has sat in that same spot for at least 7-8 years. It's only a few miles from our house. You can hardly see it now through the weeds and brush, even though it's maybe 50' off the highway. Pretty clever redneck enjinearing.
  21. That's why I mentioned in post 14 of the current🤣 27, that jumper guage and clamps are important. (How's that for slipping in a pun?)
