    Pic test

First one does not work, second one works if i copy and paste, third one works with a click!
  2. Just a quick google search came up with this....VERIFY: Should You Fill Your Gas Tank With A Tanker Truck Present? | wfmynews2.com
  3. To keep the junk in your own tank from getting into the system, especially the stuff that develops in diesel fuels.
  4. Gas station fuel pumps usually have pre-delivery filters. If not in the hose it will be internal in the pump housing so i doubt any debris will be pumped into your tank. The biggest problem with my 300 Cat is that when the temps get down to 32F the motor gets slow to start and when it gets to -25F it is impossible to start without the block heater being plugged in for a few hours.
  5. I am a fan of dash cams ever since my first close call when a semi-tanker lost control in front of me and came into my lane. We passed so close that our mirrors almost touched! I will now not put the truck in gear without starting the camera! A camera will in no way prevent an accident but it will help investigators reconstruct the accident and find fault (because in every accident someone is at fault) My current cam is the Rand McNally GPS
  6. I don't know about your stove but on mine there is linkage that closes the propane valve when the lid is closed. You might want to look into whether your stove has that safety feature. By the way the same thing happened to me (lid was open) and i thought it was sewer gas until the propane detector went off!
  7. As far as i know Good Sam will tow whatever you drive. HDT, MDT, pickup, car, motorcycle....not sure about bicycle! I was once was in need of a tow and when i told the operator that i had a MDT and needed a larger tow truck there was a pause while she looked up the definition of Freightliner MDT. When she came back on the line she said we do not tow commercial dump trucks!!! When i asked her where she got the idea i was a dump truck she replied that she looked it up on the net and was looking at a picture of a dump truck! Instead of arguing with her i just asked for a supervisor. The line went silent and after 2 or 3 minutes she said the tow would arrive in 20 minutes! When i first signed up to good sam i had a MH towing an enclosed cargo trailer and asked how they would deal with the trailer the reply was "we will send as many tow trucks as needed" and that was good enough for me!

    Rand McNally

I got the same e-mail presumably because i bought some replacement parts for my gps a while ago. I sure hope they did not get my credit card info! But we will find out soon enough!
  9. We just had a rally to protest the mandatory use of masks in a town near me! Oddly enough that same town has the highest rate of infection in my whole province. It appears we will cure Covid but we will never cure stupid!
  10. While doing a walkthru of our new Fullhouse with the dealer i pointed out two scratches on the kitchen floors. They replaced the tiles and gave us a pair of sliders made from hard plastic about 4 inches by 36 inches by about 1/8 inch thick. I make sure they are placed under the fridge area before i bring in the slide. So far no more scratches!
  11. My onan genset started to surge under load so i added a can of Seafoam fuel treatment. It took only about 15 min to notice it working and within a half hour it was running smoothly. I now add it to my motorcycles before storage as well.
  12. I have neither a camera or the ability to see my hitch in the mirror. I back up till i think i am close and get out and look. If i have to move the truck left or right an inch or two i will mark the tire position with my heel in the gravel or lay something on the ground so i have a reference point to move the truck left or right. But i always get out and look and sometimes i do it so many times that it is more exercise than i get all day!!😄
  13. Wow this thread sure took a turn for the worse! Why all the anger, to the point of name calling? There might be a back story but i doubt that it will change the fact that the hitch FAILED! Did it fail because of lack of maintenance? As far as i know there is no maintenance to be done on a weld. A periodic inspection might have hinted at the impending catastrophic failure but that failure should NEVER have happened in the first place! If you buy a hitch made by Billy Bob in his back yard there will be no expectation of safety but when you buy a hitch from a so called reputable company one expects a certain level of safety. I will wait for the back story to see if the hitch owner knew of the impending failure and did nothing but wait for that catastrophic failure so he could complain about the company! I am also interested to see what he might be lying about!
  14. Depending on your province you might have to pay the harmonized (gst+pst) tax on the hitch and the shipping. You will probably have to pay brokers fees as well!
  15. This might be too simple, but check that the door is not ajar or that the light switch is actually turning the light off. On my first trip with my motorhome i heard a beeping and in searching for the source i found the door to the fridge ajar. Didn't even know there was an alarm. Hope your problem is as simple!

    4 door with sleeper

A little out of my price range!! https://workingtruckworld.com/Truck/Details/45793/2020-Volvo-VNR-640-Four-Door
  17. The inner tank on my DRV is also hard to get at so now the valve remains closed until the outer tank is empty. Much like the days of the reserve tank on motorcycles, when you run out on the main tank you switch to reserve and start looking for a gas station. I switch back to the outer tank once i refill and close the inner tank valve until i need it again. In the three years i have been doing this i have used about a third of the inner propane.
  18. This fan looks interesting. If it will clear the slide it might be the answer to the useless living room fan in my DRV!
  19. More than once we have opened the closet and found every hanger on the floor of the closet! Now, on move, day my wife will group ten hangers together and bind them with a small bunge cord. Now if we hit a good whopdedo the cloaths stay on the bar!
  20. When i was young and skinny i used to load my trials bike like this;
  21. I have loaded both hooked up and not. I do try to raise the front of the trailer as high as possible either with the air hitch or the front trailer jacks. Reasoning for that is to reduce ramp angle and breakover angle at the top of the ramp. I see no reason to put rear jacks down because my trailer is so heavy that rear jacks have no effect on stabilizing the trailer. When loading my bikes into my 16' enclosed cargo i used the same procedure hooked up or not.
  22. I know this should go without saying but i have made this mistake myself!! Make sure the valve on the full tank is open when you switch tanks! 😮
  23. I started to look for the ignore button too! His posts were bordering on narcissistic (had to look that one up to stay politicaly correct) and long winded.
  24. Thanks DreamersandTravelers that is the kind of info we need here.....the facts and nothing but the facts!
  25. Dryer sheets do NOT work! We had dryer sheets all around our MH and a mouse collected a bunch and made a nice nest in a drawer out of them. I have no experience with the sonic repellers so keep us informed. The way i am dealing with mice is to have baited traps in the main baggage compartment and check them weekly.
