I know 1 rv park named Sugar Hill got smacked by a tornado. GlennWest Posted February 24, 2016 Report Share Posted February 24, 2016 We ok. We were in Poche. Sugar Hill about 5 miles up river were hit hard. 2 are dead. Lots of our guys in there. Less than half came in tonight. They were at Sugar Hill. Lots of dayshift is too. Haven't heard from all of them. DW very shook up. This was just too close. We heard it go by our park. JPL Posted February 27, 2016 Report Share Posted February 27, 2016 All, That storm just kept heading our way. It actually missed us by 60 miles but it killed 4 people here in Va. No RV issues but 3 of the people were in a trailer. 2 adults and a 2 year old. Lesson: keep that radio and /or smart phone on all the time so any alert can be heard! Have a safe weather day.
