We did a lot of walking Feet were very tired.

I don't know about Edmonton but at the Mall of America you can rent a cart to drive around. It's kind of fun. :)

Watch out driving your RV through town. That's where the ol' Red Rooster got side swiped in those narrow lanes. As one fellow told me what he does: drive down the centerline and take up both lanes. You guys have already lost a mirror in Mexico. Of course, you might get some horn blows but, it a short town with big cheese!

We overnighted at The Blue Heron Cheese Factory. It's much smaller than Tillamook Cheese Factory but had very interesting stuff. And the birds, guinea fowl, peacocks, geese all wander free around your rig. They do roost at night though.

Went to the Tillamook Cheese factory yesterday afternoon. Imagine, we bought some cheese and ate some ice cream. LOL! Then took the puppy (Cali) to Ocean Beach. We walked along the beach while she got to run around.

Check off another year. 5 years ago today we sold the house and went fulltime. Who knows when it will end.

Travel safe everyone.

We have left Montana, Big Sky Country, and are on our way to the balloon festival in Alberquere, NM where I have agreed to volunteer to drive a shuttle. Anybody else going to be there 9-28 to 10-9?

That sounds like a sweet gig there! ^_^

Well, well, well ... best laid plans. We discovered at our birthday dinner with the family that our son is scheduling surgery in October. We'll get the date this Friday. Thus, we're thinking all these great plans we made for the first of October might go up in smoke. I'm not sure how good that would be if we took off no matter how minor the surgery. :(

I think we'll find out today. If his surgery isn't scheduled for next week, we're hoping to get on the road middle of next week. We have to be someplace close to an airport around the 12th because we have that wedding in Florida. That may mean we won't go through Utah after all. We just don't have enough time. We may end up in Las Vegas. Who knows?? !

Aahhh the Oregon coast. It has been gray and rainy since last week with a few bits of sunshine. Suppose to get nicer starting Thursday for a few days. We hope so. Our dog Cali really likes the beach. She just runs and runs and runs but is not a water dog. She does not like the waves. We were hoping the weather would be better than our time here in the early summer 2012. Not so much. It's raining right now. Yuck!

Sounds like Oregon's coastal version of Fall/Winter? Better keep movin' south. Lookin' forward to hearing your tales from the great NW around a campfire and some "cranberry juice"! Safe travels you two...R

Diane is a native Portland person and I was a transplant but we both lived there and dealt with the rain for many years then moved to southern Oregon where it was much better but still wet. We don't miss it. The Bend area is one of our favorite areas but it will be getting snow soon. Diane says if we were to get off the road today we would (she would) like to call the Bend area (not in Bend, but surrounding area) our summer home.

Woke up to more rain this morning. While we are in Florence, Or. I wanted to go ride quads on the dunes but not in the rain. We move on tomorrow going down toward Port Orford, Or. for the weekend. It's suppose to be nice weather starting tomorrow through the weekend. We'll move on next Monday and try to stay out of the rain on the way south.

This is a link to my granddaughters wedding blog done by her photographer. It was at a venue in Bakersfield. Never knew Bakersfield could be so nice. Robin and his friends built the arch.

Absolutely gorgeous photos ... absolutely gorgeous granddaughter too!

I have a wedding coming up next weekend but not so sure I'll be able to go now that Matthew is creating havoc in Jacksonville. Usually disasters create all kinds of issues for flights a few days afterwards. We will see !

Speaking of hurricanes...Jeff, I think that it was nearly a year to the day that we both were ducking to get outta the way of Hurricane Joaquin. I'm sure glad that we're not doing that part of the country again. I can put up with some 90's here in AZ...at least it's a dry heat...LOL! Also, glad to see that none of the Classless are out that way.

Linda and Ed, congrats on your granddaughter's wedding...the pics were very nice!

Real people! You don't always see that at a wedding. The superhero shirts made me laugh. Thanks for sharing.

It was a year ago today that we got to St. Augustine. So glad we did it last year. Hope the best for everyone in hurricane Mathew's path. On the west coast this year and we've seen a lot of gray skies and drizzle/rain over the past week or so. Saw some sunshine today.

Linda and Ed looks like that was a fun wedding. I really liked the super hero's shirts too.

GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch gets his first start today against the Atlanta Falcons. Unfortunately I won't be able to watch it. I don't have the NFL ticket on Directv and there isn't any over the air tv where we are located. I do have the NFL network though.

Well, good luck with all that Jeff!

Sure is weird watching football on PDT. Yesterday, we had breakfast with the Hawkeyes (9:00 a.m.) and today it's brunch with the NFL. Tonight it's dinner with our Packers at 5:20. Could've used this schedule when I was working. No need to stay up late on a "school night"...LOL!
