sandsys
We did a lot of walking Feet were very tired. palamine
Watch out driving your RV through town. That's where the ol' Red Rooster got side swiped in those narrow lanes. As one fellow told me what he does: drive down the centerline and take up both lanes. You guys have already lost a mirror in Mexico. Of course, you might get some horn blows but, it a short town with big cheese! R We overnighted at The Blue Heron Cheese Factory. It's much smaller than Tillamook Cheese Factory but had very interesting stuff. And the birds, guinea fowl, peacocks, geese all wander free around your rig. They do roost at night though. Onthego
Went to the Tillamook Cheese factory yesterday afternoon. Imagine, we bought some cheese and ate some ice cream. LOL! Then took the puppy (Cali) to Ocean Beach. We walked along the beach while she got to run around. Check off another year. 5 years ago today we sold the house and went fulltime. Who knows when it will end. Travel safe everyone. Onthego
Well, well, well ... best laid plans. We discovered at our birthday dinner with the family that our son is scheduling surgery in October. We'll get the date this Friday. Thus, we're thinking all these great plans we made for the first of October might go up in smoke. I'm not sure how good that would be if we took off no matter how minor the surgery. Do you know when you are heading south? Travel safe everyone. Wanderin
Do you know when you are heading south? Travel safe everyone. Jeff I think we'll find out today. If his surgery isn't scheduled for next week, we're hoping to get on the road middle of next week. We have to be someplace close to an airport around the 12th because we have that wedding in Florida. That may mean we won't go through Utah after all. We just don't have enough time. We may end up in Las Vegas. Who knows?? ! Onthego
Aahhh the Oregon coast. It has been gray and rainy since last week with a few bits of sunshine. Suppose to get nicer starting Thursday for a few days. We hope so. Our dog Cali really likes the beach. She just runs and runs and runs but is not a water dog. She does not like the waves. We were hoping the weather would be better than our time here in the early summer 2012. Not so much. It's raining right now. Yuck! Travel safe everyone. hdrider
Diane is a native Portland person and I was a transplant but we both lived there and dealt with the rain for many years then moved to southern Oregon where it was much better but still wet. We don't miss it. The Bend area is one of our favorite areas but it will be getting snow soon. Diane says if we were to get off the road today we would (she would) like to call the Bend area (not in Bend, but surrounding area) our summer home.
