Steve - It sure can be one adventure after another. I think you are handling them well. You don't get these kind of adventures sitting in one place for a long time. LOL!

Had dinner with Jeri and Terry last night and did a lot of talking. There will be more tomorrow.

Travel safe everyone.

Steve, it has not been a good time for you.

At least it could have been worse. And how nice that you have your own private photograper to document it all on facebook

Technically we are on the road again. It's very strange not to have our house with us though. We have a very nice hotel in the heart of the shopping district of our former home, Langley, BC. That fact worried us. Would it be noisy? Not at all. Would the bed be good? Great bed. Too big for our taste but comfy.

Eating on the road will be difficult what with us being on Weight Watchers but we have a few things in the hotel room and intend on having just one "meal" a day out.

So it goes!

Man, I love a good pig roast! That's a nice prize for surviving all you've been through lately.

Weight Watchers is a good program. I lost 40 pounds doing that. But, I found it again when I stopped following the program. :(

We've enjoyed having Tina and Jeff around. However, they're heading into Oregon tomorrow and slowly making tracks south. http://blog.willywagon.net/2016/09/visit-from-rv-friends-bbq-class.html

Roger -- I just noticed you're in Page ! We're heading there next month. I'm anxious to hear about your experience there. I want to visit Lake Powell and take a tour to Antelope Canyon. Have you done that?

Checkin' out the houseboats, eh? ;)

We just got here yesterday and spent the rest of the day watchin' football...finally! Gotta do a bunch of shopping in Page today and restore the larder after wandering in the Utah desert. Trading posts just don't seem to have my brand of yogurt or cranberry juice...LOL! We'll check out the scoop on Antelope Canyon tours while in town. We really like the campground so far. Lots of sites, roomy and a great view of Lake Powell to boot. I think that Dave & Diane were here last Fall and covered it in their blog.

A tad warm yesterday but, cooling down to the mid 80's the rest of the week. Just right for dry desert climate. :D

We had a very good time with Jeri and Terry this past weekend seeing some of the local sites and where they live when in the PNW. I know I ate too much too.

Lines? What are talking about with Lines? I thought they were only at Disney!

Did you all notice that Millenicom is back?? This time it's not using Verizon though. It's T-mobile but don't they use Verizon? Thought I'd get feedback here and on FB.

Jeri, we stayed at the Elks at Page. Nothing special, but FHU's. Antelope canyon is great, I almost had to leave Carol there!!

Well, this trip we'll probably be parking our "rig" at the Best Western. Hopefully, we won't have to make reservations and hopefully it's not too busy at that time. We haven't told the kids yet but our Washington departure date keeps getting earlier and earlier. We can fly to Florida for our nephew's wedding just as easily from Phoenix as from Portland. So, we're thinking departure date may be around the 3rd of October instead of the 25th-ish. It's beautiful during the day but you can tell fall is sneaking in during the night.

We stayed at the Elks too and made reservations the day before for the Antelope Canyon tour online. One tour drove people out there from town, we drove there ourselves.

The Horse Shoe bend in the river is a bit of a hike to get to it from the parking lot. Up and down a hill.

I can believe that Steve. It's a photographer's paradise. Lucky for you that you don't have to buy film anymore! :D

We looked online at the one that Dave and Diane went with last year but, they were booked. We drove out anyway and had no trouble jumping into a tour. We're gonna do the Horseshoe tomorrow!

I have very sad news. I received an email from Lee's niece this evening.

"Lee passed away yesterday evening in the hospital. He made it 4 weeks in the hospital, but the Doctor said the tumor was pressing on his temporal and frontal lobe and that eventually it would cause him to stop breathing. I'm so sorry to have to give you this news, but I can't tell you how much I appreciate you guys checking in on him this whole time. It means a lot to me, and I know it meant a lot to Lee. "

Lee did what he loved as long as he could. I remember Lee looking at the sky on his new telescope in Q and letting all of us look at the heavens. Now we can think of Lee in his new place when we look up. He was a special person and we will all miss him.
