My 2014 f450 Platinum is rated at 14,000 GVW, 33,000 GCWR, with a 24,7000 towing capacity, 9100 RAWR and 5380 lb of payload , with the wide track front end I can easily manuver and make U turns when needed. Is also my daily driver making 400 HP and 800 Torque with the 6 speed tranny and tow haul , I dont consider that derated or anemic

Have the sirus subscription with all channels , music news sports nascar nfl etc. In f450 sync 2 and escape sync 3 plus app on the smartphone or computer. Also has the travel link for traffic ' fuel weather ski and movie listing. It automatically renews the subscription on credit card think it's every 3 years. Also vehicles can connect to smart devices and can stream pandora from internet where you make your own channels. Lastly they have USB ports and we have flash drives with gigabytes full of music where I ripped all our cds too ' having hundreds from the 1980s to 2005 and any new album releases we just purchase the downloads onto the computer and then copy to flash drives . Media choices are a good thing.

The 6.0 had its issues, you want to make sure it has been bullet proofed , stud upgrades and such. Once done they are pretty good motors. Avoid the 6.4 , bad design, lots of issues

Uses the factory send unit Best upgrade on the f450. I also add a 4 0Z shot of opti lube summer blend, targeting 60 gallons at each fill up

Kirk, Very good information there from your wife regarding the rates and consequence of default when pledging collateral to secure a loan. I also believe the days where the personal relationship with the local bank loan officer accounting for something in the decision are no longer in todays push button, instant gratification society. Interest rates aside and with all things being equal such as, income, debit ratios, etc. I wonder what accounts for a higher score / more acceptable risk to the lender...a non mortgaged S&B with $$$ appraised value or a cash reserve of the same $$$ value AND only using the RV as the collateral to secure the loan?

Thank you for the response , however I think that is a flawed assumption as there is no data regarding the hypothetical profit /loss of the S&B sale, or the amount of an RV loan. The questions of mine were more geared toward the collateral asset aspect of a S&B vs amount of proceeds from the sale of it ,and any respective impacts of being able to qualify or obtain an RV loan, preferably based on expieriences of those that had gone through the process. Is it better to have a collateral asset or cash reserves in the eye of the lender is really what I was curious about and would think that would be valuable information to anyone contemplating selling a S&B and buying an RV.

For those that have sold S&B to purchase an RV I am curious if not having the collateral asset of the S&B had any negative impact on the loan process? By selling the S&B first does that impact the prospect of obtaining a loan and you now have to use proceeds to pay for the RV? Would it be better / easier to obtain a loan for the RV first, then sell the S&B ?

Just did our annual fill up of our 500 gallon underground tank, this time it took 320 gallons and was 2.49 a gallon plus tax and fees, delivered to our S&B in south Florida. Always fill it up in the month of May , prices seem to be the lowest in this area that time of year and its right before Hurricane season starts so we are full in case we loose power and have to run the tri fuel generator

Have earned over 2 million points since I started back in early 1990’s… have taken multiple free trips all over the world. TSD is a Diesel option that we use when traveling the Interstates for the convenience factor, mostly they are TA truck stops that are easy on/off, have restaurants, stores, showers, etc. that make travel days less stressful and with an opportunity to have substantial discounts . When in a local area and un hitched, can use other options to find fuel at stations could not otherwise fit into. And with a 65 gallon tank on the F450 my options have options too!
