We are anticipating a lot of excitement over this launch so to avoid overloading the system, we are limiting the number of downloads per day. Needed to fill up, use the sat radio check fuel prices app in the truck, shows a shell on my route at 1.99 a gallon, pretty good deal down here in S. Fl so i pull in. I remember that I have a discount fuel rewards card for shell, it isnt used very offten and the discounts add up over time- so i run it and my discount is $1.15 off per gallon resulting in .84 per gallon- Kicker is can only get the first 20 gallons at that price- then pump shuts off - reinsert the rewards card, now and its .05 cents off per gallon or $1.94 which still is good for down here in the swamp. Just for fun what's the best price you all have seen lately?

Yup,my 2014 f450 platinum has it,use it all the time towing or not. Helps slow down using turbo back pressure and shift points so you don't have to use brakes as much

Also, make sure that you tap on the circle with the price to ensure that you are fueling at the correct location. SO I had signed up for the starlink beta testing, initially they just wanted a zip code but got an email this morning asking me to update with a physical address which I gave them the S&B located in south Florida.

Thanks Jay for the explanation...so a non tsd participant and non tsd driver are one and the same then? Guess he was just meaning the distinction between someone who works for TSD and someone who doesnt?

How would tsd collect a fee from a non tsd participant? And how would a non tsd driver continue to reap a benefit?

On another note, it has come to our attention that some of our fuel card holders have contacted our fuel vendors directly and caused some frustraion for our vendors. Your agreement is directly with TSD not the vendors. Please contact us at 800-275-5089 if you have any questions or concerns. DO NOT contact the vendors. If there is no discount, regardless of the product, there are no fees. Also there is a $200 per week cash advance available on the card, so you can go inside to the register and get cash without having to pay ATM fees. Just checked the price locate app and in FT Pierce the loves discount price is $1.322 per gallon -

The app shows the discount price. You swipe your card and enter your pin. About 2 days later they ach debit the checking account you provided when you sign up and the 10% fee is applied, you will see it when you get the ach transaction .

My opinion / suggestion is the hitch should be matched to the tow vehicles ratings regardless of what your pulling, that way your solution is uniformly rated across your towing platform, If what your pulling exceeds that rating then time to get a larger platform. Also, again this is my opinion, its not necessary to have "reserve" in the ratings as engineers build in safety margins with these ratings and as long as you don't exceed them your fine..now if it gives you peace of mind to have some % number of reserve in capacity that's your choice but for me, based on modern engineering, levels of testing, etc I no longer subscribe to the old school RX of having to be a % under the ratings.

Yes the app will allow you to search an area and it will display locations that accept the EFS card as well as the current price. Some locations are discounted, some have more discount that others, and some have no discounts. Its all variable by the locations, it seems the larger discounts are most plentiful at Loves As these locations are truck stops, when you combine the discounted savings along with the convenience of a location that is usually right off the interstate, easy on easy off, big rig friendly and generally have other services, stores, food, showers, etc if needed it makes it a great package deal when logging miles. Of course if you want to search the area with another app like gas buddy to see if you can find a better deal its up to you, treat the EFS card as another option in your wallet and make the decision that best fits your needs

Yes....It costs nothing to sign up and get the efs card. You can check for yourself if there's a savings in the area you're in or going to..if not then don't use it..just another option in your wallet
