  1. Thanks Kirk, knew there was some type of limit that I was hitting when I used it the one time...makes sense to be a dollar amount....with the current price per gallon that could end up being a teacup full of fuel these days...however its an option to have in the wallet...
  2. My issue with Gas buddy CARD was the daily limit, think it was something like 21 gallons a day that you get the discount, then you cant pump any more on the card. So if you have a smaller tank or dont mind spreading out your fill up over multiple days it might work for you. Also they are a huge marketing app, deals that you can click on to activate then use with in X amount of time before deal expires, stuff like that. For some folks they may find a value with that kind of stuff, for me it just seems a lot of hoops to jump through for 21 gallons of fuel discount. I used it once for a savings of $2.08 , then had to reset the pump and use another card to finish my fill up. They also were inidiating with marketing emails of all the "deals" in the area that you can click on.. turned that off in the account settings. Again for me to much other stuff and not enough gallons so i dont use it any more

  4. screen shot from the app that shows the discounts and fees. For this transaction the discount ended up being ,645 cents per gallon if my fussy math is correct.
  5. Just a question...can you stay at a thousand trails park without having a membership? How do you check out the differnt parks in the zones without a membership?
  6. You can also get a 200.00 dollar cash advance daily with no transaction fees. The trucks stops usually have a convenience store , showers, lounge, game rooms, laundry rooms and usually some restaurant chain to get hot prepare food. Easy on / off and big rig friendly are the norm. Choices that make travel days a bit less stressful...up to you if that has value based on pump prices
  7. Tsd discount for diesel as of today for those participating stations in Rockwall TA 3.33 LOVES 3.32 Sunmart in Royce city 3.02 which looks like it's 9 miles from Rockwall looks the best for that general area.
  8. I use MX+ obd link.. you can load it on smart phone or tablet and you can select which PDI's you want to monitor, that way ypiu dont have to mess with guages and wires. I also use forscan app for any programing changes to the f450
  9. I am curious and would like to learn a few things if you don’t mine, like why you feel that Escapes should cut ties with all the co-ops? Is it just the not for profit business model or something else? I would also be interested in learning more about the history of the co-ops formations and the legal issues that caused the change in direction, is there any place to gather that from? Thanks
  10. Yes, that is their new site What I find of interest is this statement from their site.. .Have a gasoline vehicle? You're in luck! Coming in early 2022 we will be offering a gasoline discount card as well as the diesel card.
  11. TSD now has a new web site , Open Roads
  12. It will slow to zero as relative to distance from the earth is concern , when the orbit insertion burn occurs it will be placed in a "stationary" halo orbit... in that it will get no further away from earth when it arrrives at L2, then orbits the L2 location , with the same forward momentum as the earths orbit of the sun. Orbital mechanics are complex, but the idea is that its stays in the L2 location where the gravity from earth and sun cancel each other out, with the earth between the sun and JWST.
  13. From their site.... RV reservations for the 2022 event have filled and the waitlist is activated. Popularity and interest in the 50th event generated a significant amount of traffic that resulted in delays and difficulty in accessing the reservation system. In all, more than 20,000 reservations over the nine-day event were reserved by 10:30am Mountain Time, an hour and a half after reservations opened and shortly after adjustments were made within the system. At one point, there were over 100,000 people on the website at one time. We understand that many of you were unable to book your desired date/space; in a perfect world we could accommodate all of you at Balloon Fiesta, in the meantime, please make sure you are added to the waitlist https://app.staylist.com/irm?account=734 or the link below. For more information please email: rvspace@balloonfiesta.com
  14. If your looking to transfer your business license to Florida you can start with sunbiz.org to get answers on registration of business. There are tax implications for both states and you should consult with a tax professional and depending on the complexity of the business,a lawyer.
  15. Yes, I am a huge space fan and been following JWST , with all the delays and technical challenges over the past decades to get to this point. In 1990 I was able to get a vehicle pass and take my 2 small children to witness the launch of STS-31 which placed the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit. It was our first of 5 shuttle launches that we would have passes to witness from KSC. Since then, we have also been at KSC for falcon 9 as well as falcon heavy launches, including the return landing of the boosters. Its amazing to see, but most amazing to feel these events. We also now routinely see F9 launches from our backyard in south florida. The next BIG launch from KSC will be the SLS and Artemis 1 mission, although looks like yet another delay due to a faulty engine controller that will have to be swapped out.. this will push the launch into late spring / early summer IF they dont have to unmate and destack the SRB as they only have a year of shelf life once stacked and most likely with expire due to the latest delays...
  16. There all great options to have and one of those helps our club so a win for all
  17. Think it’s a convenience for all, keeps the rvs out of the truck stop, gives the rv a place to park with hook ups , fuel, showers, food.. a natural expansion of the business model for Loves with brand recognition of KOA to add weight for quality and value that would take loves a while to build on its own, seems like a smart marketing move too. That convenience will be priced accordingly I think.
  18. Perhaps the question is ...Will the next tow vehicle will be electric ? Or this?
  19. I think it's great to have an option to see if it works for the individual or not and a way to help our club generate revenue at the same time. I would like to see what it actually is in that regard.
  20. Might want to give rvs a call, they may have something that can integrate with the factory OEM system
  21. The links in the email announcement now work. This program has a few more options. It has discounts for gas. You must use the front pumps/car location for gas. For diesel discounts you must use the truck lanes. You have choices to link to bank account for ach for full discounts and no transaction fee or to a credit card which will always have a transaction fee from the vendor and possibly from the credit card company. There is also a network for gas purchases that you will be charged the cash price instead of credit price but the rv card must be linked to an ach debit accountand not cc for that. There is a monthly fee of 3.99 per month to be in the program and that's auto debit to the linked account. You can pause the program once a year, so if you're parked for a long duration not needing fuel you can pause and not have the monthly fee. It appears that this program is also a revenue generator for our Escapees club, sharing in profits of the program somehow, perhaps from the fee or a % of savings not sure. But I'm not opposed to this helping out our club but full disclosure is something I would like to see shared. I think it's great for us to have the options, each can make their own decisions if and how it works for you.
