  1. Yup ...could be simple user error...that's why I asked whj469 for their feedback and if tsd was able to assist them
  2. Just looking for some feedback on your experience with the EFS card... was this the first times you attempted to use the EFS card or the only 2 times you were denied... did you contact TSD to see why you were denied?
  3. But your incorrect that the freedom of travel afforfed as a liberty in the us constitution can only be preempted by declaration of martial law ....which was the point of my comment..... .... apparently some didn't grasp the reference to constitutional law so yes that would be the court that upheld the state's rights to close their borders ...
  4. The supreme court has taken this issue up in the past, specifically dealing with outbreaks regarding public health, it has upheld the states ability for police power including closing borders and restraining individuals liberty as the welfare of the general public may demand. This has been done without declaring Martial law which is the imposition of military authority on a civilian population as a substitute for civil authority
  5. No scam, very legit. Diesel fuel program. You need to go to their website https://www.tsdlogistics.com/services/fuel-program/ to learn more and apply https://tsdv.loadtracking.com:8443/im/fuelcardapp. It takes a coiuple weeks and you will get your card in the mail. It is linked to your checking account, its an ACH debit card not a credit card There is an app you download . It will show on a map the fueling locations near you or on your route, you can see what the price is at each location. Some locations have discounts, some dont, but it shows you what the price you will be paying per gallon at each location . You must use the truckers lanes. At the pump you swipe your EFS card and put in your pin. Then pump your fuel. They will debit the linked account in 1-3 days and the statement will show your savings. There is also a $200 per week cash advance available on the card, you can go inside to the register and use the card to obtain cash if you need to without paying an ATM fee It cost nothing but your time to apply and get the card, give you the option if you want to use it or not. There are no annual fees or mininum amount. TSD makes money off your discount, if you get no discount there are no fees. The discount savings are mostly at Loves, and are discounted off the adverttized price. As an example, loves in Ft Pierce flright now is 2.48 per gallon and the current discount price is 1.90 for a discount of .58 per gallon TSD gets 10% or 5.8 cents per gallon so your final price is aprox 1.96 per gallon
  6. A topkick c4500, like the ford f450 subject line are pick up or chassis cab trucks nothing weird about them....
  7. Dont know anything about California. I did live in Texas for 20 years and find the history very interesting . My company was involved in the State capital expansion project back in the 90's, I spent a lot of time in Austin while that was going on and a few discussions while raising long necks of lone star and pearl brought up varying view points on the subject of the annexation and civil war. One of the outcomes of the civil war,as indicated in the US constitution, was that no state can decide for itself to secede from the union, that it takes an act of US congress to add a state, change a states or territories borders or expel a state from the union. As such, Texas and the other states that declared they seceded wasnt approved by congress, there fore legally they actually never left the union, reference the US supreme court in the Texas VS White case of 1869. Also if the annexation agreement went out the window, then Texas would revert back to a republic as it was before the annexation agreement which of course didnt happen as they are still the Lone Start State And since the US congress already ratified and approved the annexation agreement, which indicates that Texas can split into 5 states, they dont need to approve it again so Texas still has the right to split into 5 states and yes that would have to be approved by the voters in the State of Texas Now i personally dont think it will ever happen, surely it would be challenged at the highest levels of government, but would make for great theater. Of course i never thought the world would be brought to a standstill by a virus either so WTF do i know? Everyone stay safe!
  8. Can fly the state flag the same height as a national flag....reserved the right to split into 5 states as part of the annexation agreement....things are different in the lone star state
  9. Escapees RV Club Member Notice: Rainbow Parks and SKP Co-Op Openings and Availability The Escapees board of directors has been working non-stop to ensure that all the many factions of our service network are running as smoothly as possible during this very turbulent time. As most of you know, some of our services involve the cooperation of others. We have administered policies across the Rainbow Parks system in an effort to keep residents, guests, and staff safe while still remaining open to those needing a place to stay. You can read more about these policies and procedures on our website at https://www.escapees.com/coronavirus/. At this time, all Rainbow Parks are open and accepting new reservations. We consider our park system a critical component to full-time RVers’ peace of mind, and it hurts to see some of them still frantically searching for a safe haven to shelter. Of course, SKP Co-Ops are a key piece of our park system, but it is important to recognize that they are individual cooperatives, each governed by their own board of directors. We have been in contact with each park, sharing the policies and procedures we are personally implementing into our Rainbow Parks system, and have stressed the importance of taking care of the community during these difficult times. As of March 20, co-op parks are doing the following: · SKP Saguaro in Benson, Arizona is currently closed to new reservations because they are at capacity, with both leaseholder lots and short-term spaces fully occupied. However, they are offering their dump stations and water facilities to those in need during their office hours, which are 8:00AM- 1:00PM daily. · Rover’s Roost in Casa Grande, Arizona is still open to new reservations until they are at capacity. They, too, are offering their dump stations and water facilities during normal business hours. 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm daily. · KOFA Ko-op in Yuma, Arizona is currently closed to new reservations. · Jojoba Hills Co-Op in Aguanga, California is closed to new reservations. Reservations beginning between March 17 and March 31 have been cancelled. However, they are offering use of their dump stations and water facilities during normal business hours. 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday; 9 am to 1 pm, Saturday; closed Sunday. · Park Sierra Co-Op in Coursegold, California is closed to new reservations, but they are honoring existing reservations. Their dry camping area, limited to six sites, serves as a quarantine area. All new guests must stay in dry camping for a minimum of 14 days. Their dump stations and water facilities are available to travelers during normal business hours. 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday; 8 am to 12 pm, Sunday. · Florida SKP Resort in Wachula, Florida remains open to new reservations. However, RVers considering staying here should review their adjusted park rules to ensure they are willing to comply. Guests who violate these rules will be asked to leave. The co-op is also offering their dump stations and water facilities to travelers during their normal business hours. 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm, Monday to Saturday; 9 am to 12 pm, Sunday. · SKP Pair-A-Dice in Pahrump, Nevada is closed due to being at capacity. Water facilities and dump stations are available to visitors during their normal business hours. 8 am to 12 pm and 12:30 pm to 4 pm, Monday to Saturday; closed Sunday · The Ranch in Lakewood, New Mexico is closed due to being at capacity. Travelers are welcome to use their dump stations and water facilities during normal business hours. 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm, Monday to Friday; closed Saturday and Sunday. · Timber Valley in Sutherland, Oregon is open to new reservations until they reach capacity. Both now and once capacity is reached, they are keeping their dump stations and water facilities open for travelers during normal business hours 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm, Monday to Friday; closed Saturday and Sunday. · Alamo Area SKP Co-Op in Hondo, Texas is closed to new reservations. Travelers may use their dump stations and water facilities during normal business hours. 8:30 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm, Monday to Friday; 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm, Saturday; closed Sunday. · Evergreen Coho in Chimacum, Washington is closed to new reservations. Visitors may use the dump stations and water facilities during normal business hours 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm, Thursday; closed Saturday and Sunday. In addition to working with the SKP Co-Op parks, Escapees RV Club is working with RVIA and other industry leaders on their respective COVID-19-related initiatives. Specific to the closure of state and federal parks, we support efforts to enable them to remain open. Please know this is a controversial issue. There are some groups who fear that if state and federal parks remain open to travelers, those visitors will promote the spread of COVID-19 from cities (where it is largely impacting) to rural areas. Moreover, there are concerns that some public parks lack the staffing to accommodate an influx of visitors, especially if any of their staff become ill. In addition to the closure of public parks, we are witnessing the closure of privately-operated parks. You can read more on this statement at https://www.escapees.com/coronavirus/. Also, if you have information you think we should know or resources you would like to see added to the webpage linked above, there is a submission form on that page. Submissions are reviewed several times per day and resources added as seen fit. Thank you for your patience and support as we all navigate these unusual circumstances, Escapees RV Club Please note: This is a Member Notice email. 10. Update from their web site.... Florida SKP Resort Corona Virus Policy Emergency Policy adopted by the Board of Directors Effective March 19, 2020 Our park, for the immediate future, will remain open to accept traveling SKP members seeking a rental site, based on space availability. However, in lieu of closing our park to non-members, we have developed a policy to both serve traveling SKP members and protect our park members. A major factor behind this policy is that as you can well imagine, many of our members are considered “high risk” under US CDC and WHO definitions. Please call ahead to 863-735-1499, to see if there is space available. We will initially accommodate you in our overflow lot (water, 20 Amp service) while we attempt to manage rotating placement as best we can to make “social distancing” easier. Therefore, effective immediately, all visitors will be required to sign an agreement to abide by the following rules. A single violation of any of these provisions will result in immediate expulsion from the park and the forfeiture of any advance payment made for the site. If you do not agree to abide by these rules, you will be denied access to the resort and required to leave immediately. While to some, this may seem drastic, we must protect our vulnerable, at risk members. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We can, as a community of RVers, work together to remain safe. For the duration of your stay here at the resort, or up to 14 days, whichever comes first, the following restrictions are in place. A. Your unit must be completely self-contained. B. The club house, pool, kitchen, restrooms, library, and laundry room are off limits. C. Self-quarantine.... please enjoy a walk around our beautiful park but do your best to avoid close contact with others. We are a friendly park, but these are difficult times. Waves and hellos are always welcome! D. Walk your pets as necessary, but again, avoid others. E. Practice the recommended protocols regarding habits to stay healthy.... frequent hand washing, disposable tissues etc. Members: In order to stay healthy, we must insist that all payments, drop off documents etc. to the office, mail pick be done via the mail room versus the office window. Package pick up will be an exception.
  11. latest news letter Have issue viewing this email? Click here It's fun to look back on photos, like this one from the Smokey Mountains Hangout, and think about the good times we've had with friends on the road. Though it's hard to practice social distancing and stay away from our friends right now, know that doing so will help ensure you all can get together again for more fun in the future! Escapees & COVID-19 At a time when we are encouraged to maintain several feet between us and others, self-contained, a phrase we hear often as RVers, takes on a new meaning doesn't it? The good news is that RVing has prepared us well for this! Bringing our homes with us on the road allows RVers a level of comfort that others are lacking right now. You have more control over your environment than most anyone else, and social-distancing is fairly easy, especially when you enjoy boondocking. Keep reading to learn the latest from Escapees regarding upcoming events, as well as resources to help you weather this national emergency. Affected Events Escapees RV Club leadership and event directors have been closely monitoring the circumstances surrounding the spread of the coronavirus disease, otherwise known as COVID-19. As the situation continues to evolve, we will continue to monitor guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) to inform our decisions regarding upcoming Escapees events and to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19. It is with a heavy heart that we made the difficult decision to cancel or postpone all events currently scheduled through June 17. This includes our Convergences, Hangouts, and Head-out Program (HOP) events as well as our RVers Boot Camps. We do not wish to risk the safety and well-being of our membership by continuing with these events. Event-specific changes will be communicated to those registered for these events and refunds will be issued. At this time, we are still looking forward to Escapade. However, a final decision regarding its cancellation or postponement will be made no later than May 4, 2020. We understand that this issue is cause for concern to many, and our deepest sympathies go out to all who have been affected already. We assure you that as the situation continues to develop, we will make our decisions with the health and well-being of our members and employees as our highest priority. Impact on Rainbow Parks You will also see changes at our Rainbow Parks. For the safety of our park staff and guests, access to certain amenities will be restricted for the foreseeable future. Though access is restricted, please know our parks are still open for guests. All park buildings are closed and locked to the general public, including campground staff and park residents, until further notice with exception to laundry rooms and exterior-accessible restrooms. This includes park offices, activity centers, clubhouses, etc. Park offices are closed to outside guests. If you need to make a reservation, ask a question, make a payment, etc, you will have to call the park office. Staff will still be available during regular office hours, but face-to-face interaction is discouraged. Lastly, social hours, meals, and formal community gatherings are cancelled until further notice. Rainbow Parks Resources for RVers COVID-19 Campground Closures Looking for the latest information on state parks and campgrounds affected by COVID-19 related regulations? This list, curated by our friends at Campendium.com, covers all of the current closures and restrictions by state. Finding Great Boondocking Locations One of the easiest and more enjoyable ways for RVers to practice social distancing is by boondocking. This approach to camping takes you into interesting areas where you have more freedom to dictate how close to, or far from, you would like to be with other RVers. Remote Meetings Aren't Just for Work Even if you prefer your own company to being surrounded by others, it doesn't take long to feel isolated when you can't socialize when you want to. This article from NPR explains the benefit of virtual happy hours to keep us connected when we have to stay physically distant. Social Distancing & Flattening the Curve We have been asked "why take such drastic measures?" and "aren't you overreacting?" Social distancing, as described by Johns Hopkins, is the practice of maintaining a physical distance between yourself and others. This is extremely important in slowing the spread of the coronavirus disease. Washing your hands properly and keeping them away from your face can only do so much if you are in constant contact with others. Graphs courtesy of The Washington Post Social events are important to our members, our Escapees family. We thrive on laughing together, sharing meals, and learning from each other. Unfortunately, the very thing that helps us feel more like family also puts many of our members' health at risk. COVID-19 is a dangerous disease for those who have compromised immune systems, heart health issues, respiratory health issues, and other health concerns. Those who do become infected often require medical attention, even hospitalization. This is where the now-common phrase, flattening the curve, is important. When forecasting the rate of infection, data analysts see a steep curve form as number of infections increases exponentially over a short period of time. As illustrated in this article from the Washington Post, limiting person-to-person interaction slows the spread of COVID-19. As interconnected as our world is, it is virtually impossible to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease. Instead, the CDC recommends we do what we can to slow the spread, or "flatten the curve," of infection so that fewer people are sick and in need of medical treatment at once. Fewer people in need of medical treatment at the same time means that there are much better chances of recovery as they will have better access to necessary medical care. This is why we have chosen to follow the CDC's guidelines regarding social gatherings and canceled or postponed most of our upcoming events. We are confident that our decision is the right one in order to do our part in protecting all of our members, especially those who are most at risk. We look forward to the time when we are able to safely resume events and enjoy our favorite part of RVing- you! 12. ....down the road to the local non franchised small business owners station that's 94 cents per gallon cheaper ..probably got a walk in humidor too....lol Sorry for the post creep op.
  13. Uh...that's not a gotcha...its known upfront that 10 percent of the discount goes to tsd...there are no other costs...if your opposed to the saving by buying at a truck stop your choice....and completely your choice where to spend your money...having the tsd card allows me to save .72 cents per gallon in the example from the loves up the road , times the 65 gallon that my titan xl replacement tank holds comes to bout 45.00 bucks saving over their advertised price for that fill up...or bout 1000.00 using your 1400 gallon number...that's a bunch of cigars going up in smoke. Lol
  14. Obviously that's your choice to use your time to search around a bit instead of using a truck stop that is easy on, easy off, designed for big rigs, fresh fuel, etc. In an attempt to locate a larger discount than what you will already know about before using the efs card.....I would challenge your use of the word "any" however...my 2 cents is the convenience, ease of use and known savings would outweigh a scavenger hunt but again your choice
  15. As I clearly stated they get 10 % of the savings.. if you want to consider it a fee that's your choice. As it's part of the discount it's not money I ever had in my account in the 1st place. there is no fee to sign up, no annual fee, no enrollment fee and if there's no discount they get nothing. Call it what you want, I call it a good deal.
  16. As you stated it won't work for you and your gassers...lol
  17. There are no fees for use of the card, only if you have insufficient funds in the account that is ach debited do they impose a fee...just like bouncing a check at a retailer. They make their money as part of your discount, so when you save money tsd gets a 10 percentage of the savings. If you get no discount then they get nothing. They are not selling you anything, it cost nothing but your time to enroll. There are no contracts. It is not a credit card or credit program, rather a efs linked to a bank account for ach debit. Yes you have to use the commercial lanes, swipe your efs card and enter your pin. The ach hits your account within a few days of the transaction. As an example right now loves In ft pierce advertising diesel at 2.74 per gallon...tsd discount price is shown 1.93.....81 cents per gallon discount..tsd gets 8.1 cents per gallon and you get the remainder 72.9 cents per gallon , paying round number of 2.02 per gallon. The app shows you real time locations where the efs card is accepted as well as the per gallon price. A great program to save money on diesel with no downside , why would you not have it in your wallet as an option ?
  18. A lot of folks seek help, fix their issues, and never report back. Odd that the OP put a phone number in his post, wonder if anyone called them. Even though the OP may not have responded others may find your input helpful now or in a future search. The only response you can control is your own.
  19. Just when you think you have seen it all....at least its a 450
  20. Tsd logistics for diesel, you have to use the truck lanes. There is no minimum requirement. The efs card is linked to a checking account. They debit transaction from it 24 to 48 hours after the transaction. Cost nothing to use, No fees ever, Tsd gets 10 percentage of the savings. Theres an app to show you real time fuel prices and discounts. Check their website, call them for questions. Takes a couple weeks to get set up, cards issued.
  21. Hope the OP answers back with an update...its been a couple of months
  22. From Miami to key west is about a 4 hour drive. The overseas highway is about 100 miles long from key largo to key west with many small towns and 35 mph speed limits. Its a 3 hour drive. Base at some places like big pine key rv campground would put you within driving distance to see the southern keys...very popular location in the winter months so with out reservations you may have issues finding spots...and expensive
