  1. Just seems like the best course . Better safe and less worries .
  2. I'm no expert . I would think it a good idea to replace the springs in pairs for a couple of reasons . First , they likely came from the same run . One had an unknown defect , causing the failure . Is the other one about to do the same thing ? Second , the bad spring failure put unknown stresses on the still in one piece spring . Are those stresses going cause or add to that spring failing ?
  3. Everyone has to have something to do . LOL
  4. Nothing but the table . Makes for a lot easier life .
  5. Just so you don't feel so all alone , I just went to get a slice of cheese out of the fridge and the dang door dropped to the floor . My repair is already done , as it was just the hinge screw came undone . Sure woke me up in a hurry . Hope your repair goes as smoothly as mine .
  6. Why not just give it a shot ? You might have had the job done in the same time you took to type that^ . Then , if it's a no go or an easy fix, type up a tutorial .
  7. I can see how that will encourage humans to rush to the moon , just so they can write initials in the ever changing dust . 50K years ??? So there's never any disturbance that ever effects the moons' surface ? How ridiculous is that thought ?
  8. Our coach has two switches . One for the chassis and one for the house .
  9. That's exactly what the chassis switch does , disconnects the battery so there is no drain . Being as his chassis switch is faulty , that might be the first place to look for a problem .
  10. Maybe that's the problem . It might not be connecting the battery .
  11. You must have a video of that event . I feel sorry for the guy , but , it must have been a sight .
  12. Sure sounds like the whole thing was preconceived and he knew he was doing wrong .
  13. We had a similar tear on our bedroom topper/awning . I removed the topper and ran it through the sewing machine . I used a similar color nylon strap as a backer . I redid all the stitching on the topper/awning , which is holding up nicely .
  14. Here's a snapshot of his Home page ( Sept . 25 , 2017 ) : Phone # at the bottom . https://web.archive.org/web/20170925122515/http://macthefireguy.com/
  15. Kirk , I know what you mean , but any new reader will say 'what the ???' .
  16. That may be the case . All I can say is that in almost 8 years of full timing , I never once wanted a 5th wheel trailer and a truck . We've been happy with our motor home and Jeep . And I definitely like having my bikes along .
  17. Two takes just as little effort . Maybe some folks don't mind not having options .
  18. Everything changes , always ... let alone in 5 years time . Currently , with just a little foresight / planning , 2 grand a month is doable . Specially for a single man with a 25 grand cushion and no 'payments' .
  19. Sorry , Glenn . I was not in an RV . I was in the Air Force at the time . And , it was too many years ago .
  20. Just to add to the mystery , this morning I went back and looked at CW pic again . It shows a box with the supposed link in it and when I try to open that in a new tab , I get the negative sign in a circle .
  21. Wanna buy a heat tape , Glenn ? Just Kidding . Buy a good pair of skis . Sorry couldn't resist . LOL I lived in Denver for a while . I recall so much snow the airport was closed , more than once .
