  1. I figured as much , but , answered just in case . ,
  2. No Fraud . Everything was done by the book . That was 4 years ago .
  3. We rented our house out for four years . It took us three weeks solid ( no days or other time off ) of eat , sleep , work , work and more work to get the house into enough of acceptable shape for the sale . The work was bad enough . The cost twisted the knife a few more turns . Guess what . We'll never be landlords again .
  4. But Pete , didn't you know , none of us are capable of anything anymore . LOL I went for a little ride yesterday . Low 70s and sunny . Gotta love those country roads that you have almost to yourself .
  5. The Selbees are simply an example of the powers that be shutting down an easy money 'loop hole' . Matters not what the vehicle is , lotto or market or robbing a bank . And , the market is just about as chancy as the lottery . You or I have absolutely no control as to which way and/or why a stock or commodity will go . Sure I can predict with a fair amount of accuracy what will happen in the near future , given a decent chart , but , that's about the extent of any 'control' .
  6. That's a nice feature and a battery saver .
  7. I installed a headlight kill switch on my Honda CB750 . Mainly for when the battery was low . It was a simple push button on/off switch . Fortunately , I didn't have to use it very often .
  8. I referred to nothing illegal . When someone 'finds' a way to beat the odds , legal or otherwise , that path will be shut down in one way or another . Usually as quickly as possible . The powers that be will not allow it , for whatever reason(s) . Here's one example : https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jerry-and-marge-selbee-how-a-retired-couple-won-millions-using-a-lottery-loophole-60-minutes-2019-06-09/
  9. Show off . ;) Always try the easiest and least expensive things first , because those are undoubtedly in need , too .
  10. That might be true , if , that person was smart enough to keep his/her mouth shut and applied a very diverse accounting system . If ever found out , there would be a rather sudden stop involved . Most likely one that 'seemed' accidental .
  11. She sounds a lot like myself . I like home brews . They generally work as good or better than stuff we pay big bucks for . I guess that kind of shows my penny pinching side , too .
  12. Sprayway takes all the work of mixing and such out of the equation . And , your MIL maybe didn't have the Sprayway option .
  13. Can't knock it unless you've tried it .
  14. We use Sprayway glass cleaner . It's the best we've found .
  15. According to that^ , I must have ruined every jet I've ever cleaned with a fine wire . And , That would be a lot more than you could count . But , you know something ? Not a single one was ever damaged by my 'wiring' . Like anything else in life , just be careful and use a bit of common sense . You'll do fine .
  16. Assuming you have enough propane , it sounds like it's time for a thorough cleaning . I'd pull the gas tube out of the fire tube and run something through the fire tube to make sure it is clear . While the gas tube is off the valve , use a fine piece of wire to insure the orifice in the valve is clear . The brass orifice is right in front , where the gas tube slips on the valve . Before remounting the the gas tube , clean the igniter and the spot it arcs to . Both should be shiny clean and space the igniter 'rod' tip about 1/8" from the 'plate' . Also inspect the porcelain insulation around the igniter rod for any cracks . If there's any cracks , that igniter should be replaced , as the crack could allow the spark to 'short' before it gets to the tip of the rod . Hopefully that^ all makes sense .
  17. Just so you know , that headlight relay that Pete mentions above is a pretty common improvement on Jeeps , too . Kinda like day and night difference .
  18. I don't recall ever paying any fees for cash , anywhere , in the 10 years or so that we've been full time .
  19. Barbara ^ is on the mark . We became SD residents years ago and left all our banking at the Michigan credit union we'd used for years . We've not seen any 'repercussions' .

At least that part is true . Exactly why I always recommend connections be shiny clean and scratch tight . That way it doesn't matter which grease is used . By definition : di·e·lec·tric /ˌdīəˈlektrik/ PHYSICS adjective having the property of transmitting electric force without conduction; INSULATING . noun a medium or substance that transmits electric force without conduction; an INSULATOR .
  21. The Camco dual flush valve I have ( pictured above ) is solid end to end . Nothing flexible . Maybe a newer version has a flex/swivel 'section' ?

Fun Fact : "Dielectric grease, or tune-up grease, is a silicone-based grease that repels moisture and protects electrical connections against corrosion. ... The grease does not conduct electricity, so it shouldn't be applied directly to the mating surfaces (pins and sockets) of an electrical connection."
  23. What I did ( see my previous post ) . Only ours has the back flush and is see through . It's been years since I put it on and I don't know how many thousands of miles . Hasn't fallen off , yet .
  24. We use Google maps on laptops . We plan a route prior to leaving . Pat writes the turns on a sheet , just in case I have a laps of memory . That's it . No GPS or whatever . Dang things get more folks lost than if they were blind .
  25. KISS ... True , Ray . I feel fortunate to have stumbled on that simply solution . Now to see if I can remember it for the next time . LOL
