  1. I can tell you that an A is a lot less work setting up and tearing down . 5 minutes or 10 if you stop and talk to your new neighbor .
  2. Now yer gettin' pretty fancy .
  3. I bet you'll be cutting the rest of that tree down , with a vengeance . LOL You could buy a roll of white duct tape . 5 minutes and done , but , that might be a little too redneck for your flavor .
  4. Those existed back when honesty , morals and integrity were real things .
  5. We spent time at Coyote Howls West . I'd go back if we return to the area . https://coyotehowlsrvparks.com Good folks and wonderful sunsets . Coyotes get pretty close and wild burrows not far away .
  6. Definitely another option . Kinda neat if pressed for space .
  7. When we sit in one place for a few weeks or longer , I have a three step treated wood set of steps that I put down in place of the auto-retracting steps . The wood steps are a bit easier to climb . They 'cover' close to the same height as the auto steps which are a two step affair . When not in use , the wood steps live on the trailer with the bikes and tools .
  8. Good you found something you like . We spend about half the year in east / southeast Texas . Some mornings you need a towel after walking outside . LOL
  9. Hmm , I lube the steps on our Monaco maybe once every couple years . Really not much of a chore .
  10. Do they make automatic steps for tow RVs that automatically retract and protrude out for use at the touch of a button or remote ?
  11. Glenn , Something else to consider and complicate the process : https://www.everlogs.com/everlog-concrete-log-siding/
  12. Maybe the water gets blown up and in ? But , if there's no wind ... There's suppose to be a seal around the upper edge of the vent . The 'lid' should lay flat on that seal and not allow anything to enter . Looks like :
  13. I'm just guessing he desires a little rest after gaining 36 Billion dollars value in a single day .
  14. She just wants to keep you out of her hair . LOL
  15. Ha . My wife just turned 39 , so she says .
  16. I hadn't read the Medicare thread . Some how I thought Glenn stated he was 70 something , somewhere . Sorry about that Glenn . Anyway , I swear it was just the day before yesterday that I was 50 . My dear wife tells me I'm already 71 . That just can't be . LOL
  17. Excellent . Must be you keep the juices flowing good enough . Been told by more than one that's the trick to longevity . Anyway , definitely post a build thread of your progress on this 'project' .
  18. That was then . Now you're 70+ year(s) old(er) ? Hmm . you have more energy than me .
  19. Just because of age doesn't mean they are no good . Heck , you and I might be on the wrong side of the sod if that were the case . LOL
  20. None of that wimpy stuff . Just take a deep breath , relax and handle it . ;)
  21. You might try applying some thread tape temporarily . It kind of sounds like those two studs have been stripped . Post pics of the nuts and the studs they mount on .
  22. The most challenging situation happens before you hit the road . It's deciding which RV will fit / suit you best and then trying to find that RV . Once that's behind you , anything else is merely happenstance and taken into stride as part of the deal .
