Is a NEST thermostat RV compatible?
Ranger Smith replied to POPS&KIKI's topic in Technical Tips and Tricks
Transformer would go to c terminal and r terminal. It would be wired the same as the diagram above except you would not have the gray wire. Im gonna install one of these Easy Touch Thermostats . . . Much easier- 35 replies

Sounds like the switch is bad

It is impossible to give you that information. Some counties have a wheel tax and others don’t. Some have a lower tax rate than others. Best thing to do is call the county tax office where you are gonna set up your domicile and ask

Have your wife call and it is a 2016 when she calls. I don't think they will ask for registration. The new owner is killing his business before he gets going. Cash is cash . . . As long as the rv does not look like a rolling dumpster what should he care. Our Rv is a 2010 and it looks like it is brand new.

Yes it is

Comments on buying a 2021 ACE 33.1
Ranger Smith replied to stuck in vermont's topic in General RV Information
That is why we got rid of a 43' Winnebago Tour we had. It was an awesome rig but the floor plan you had to either creek your neck to the left or the right to watch tv. And boy was it sore after a few hours. -
Sounds like your 12 volt converter is unplugged, the breaker for or on it tripped or it is bad. Should work off battery unless it is bad or battery disconnect or fuse is open.

I do not know anyone who was happy with an ACE . . . In my opinion they are junk. You could find a nice higher quality used one for what they ask for an Ace. -
Question about Mail Forwarding Form
Ranger Smith replied to huckleberryfriend's topic in Sharing the Fulltime Lifestyle
The agent is the company doing the mail forwarding. I believe when we did ours it was OK to fill it in ourself. Just needed to send them copies of our ID's -
Probably used a different address from what was on your credit report?? I always use the address on the report.

I know some who were fully vaccinated . . . . Know where they are now . . . In the ground . . . Went to another funeral last week for our Daughter-in Laws father who was healthy as a horse till he got that magic shot . . . 3 so far. NO I WILL NOT EVER GET IT.
-
OK . . . So if you are vaccinated why the mask. . . . More of the propaganda BS. Masks don't work . . . It's been proven to make people sicker. . . . Good luck with that spike protein. JUST MY OPINION

I Second Alliant . . . Very easy to deal with . . . Took no more than 15 minutes for approval of 200k rv finance.

SD vehicle registration question
Ranger Smith replied to Joerg's topic in Sharing the Fulltime Lifestyle
Usually escapees and or other mailing services will register it for you if you send them the paperwork. They will drop it off at the county office like they used to do for us. Then they would just mail the us the plates with the reg card. They do charge a fee for that service -
Wife said I have to ask (miles per year)
Ranger Smith replied to Second Chance's topic in Sharing the Fulltime Lifestyle
This year we will do approximatly 6500 miles. We went from Tallahassee to the Keys then to Tennessee to pick up our new rig then to Texas and to Massachusetts to visit grandkids for the summer then will go to our home in Florida for a month then head to Texas again for a month before we head to Arizona. That is what we do about every year. -
Tried to run out slider now coach is dead dead
Ranger Smith replied to BobandBarb's topic in Technical Tips and Tricks
Just because there is a warranty left on the battery does not mean it is good. If it is partially bad it will create havoc with the 2 new ones. The slide is run off of the 12 volt system and generally has a resettable circuit breaker or a fuse. Some slides are electric and some are hydraulic. -
Tried to run out slider now coach is dead dead
Ranger Smith replied to BobandBarb's topic in Technical Tips and Tricks
It sounds like you have either a bad connection to the house batteries, chassis batteries or they are bad. The slides are generally moved with the coach running. Do you have the coach plugged in on shore power? If so did the breaker in the house trip?? -
First thing I would do is run it all the way out then back in . . . It might be that simple to fix the thingie

Make sure you also have the diodes for the lights so you don't get feedback. Should come with the wiring kit. -
Wiring lights for flat tow vehicle
Ranger Smith replied to MarkB's topic in Technical Tips and Tricks
I have a blue ox cable with the 6 pin on the toad end and the 7 pin on the rv end. I wired that cable you're talking about directly to the 6 pin connector on the toad and don't use a 4 pin at all..
