rhome
We are at Park Sierra Coarsegold and plan to stay for a while, weather permiting. We are in site 425 if anyone is in the area stop by. Everyone is talking temps and ours have been in the high 60's to mid 70's. We are going to the Rose Parade HOP and don't have any real plans for when we leave here until Dec 20. Any suggestions for places to see and things to do in late November and December. In January we are also going to Q. We are Q rookies so we will be looking for other SKPs to show us the ropes. Safe travels and stay warm. nana25k
Norah & Howie, Give us a call...we are actually in Gautier, MS. It is the first exit of I-10 after Pascagula. There are several CG here and we are checking them out tomorrow so we know which ones are decent for anyone who comes thru. We work Thur, Fri & Sat but that can be flexable if needed. We can go to the "Shed" and have BBQ or by then we may have found some good seafood. Leland..I promise not to think about the weather anymore. Jim & Nancy...glad to hear from ya....mayb e we'll see you in Q Trisha.....hope to see you to after Jan. We stopped in Norton Ks yesterday spending an hour looking at the gallery called "They also ran." There were 52 or so portraits of all the people who ran for president and lost. A little celebrated quirk I think. Interesting anyway. The gallery was free but the fabric store next door cost me $20. Leland & Cathy

lelandschliep
We found a casino in the corn fields of Kansas. White Cloud. But just barely. We though we were lost several times. This place is WAY out in nothing. It's a nice small casino though. Free FHU site and I made just enough on the slots to pay the buffet. Yea. We'll stay till we go broke. Probably tomorrow. landrypatti
We made it to Harrison, AR to see Beckett (our newest grandson) & our daughter & son-in-law. He is just awesome & worth the 2 day drive in rain to get here. ;-) At 3 months, he is entertaining, wonderful & getting bigger day by day! We will be here awhile, so we are going to be able to spend some good quality time with them all. It had been a long time since we have driven in rain... so long, we can't remember when even. But yesterday, while traveling down the interstate in the rain, the driver's side windshield wiper came loose somehow & ended up hanging over the driver's side mirror. Fortunately, there was an exit right after this happened so that we could get off the road safely. Hank had the tools & skills to fix the wiper without having to call for extra help. I offered moral support, but I was also dry in the rv while he worked outside in the rain! We spent the night in Tulsa, OK at the Flying J, hoping that the rain would pass. Of course it rained all night & all day today, but the wiper "fix" stayed fixed. Since it rained the whole way to Harrison, that was really good for us! Our thought for the day.... If you haven't used (needed) your rv windshield wipers in awhile, check them now before you get on the road in the rain or even worse snow!! ;-/ Travel safe! We were surprised to see as many rigs as we did. The naked book seller is still open, and has plenty books on the shelves. I had to get (another) picture of him and Marcia. We broke our bank account last night at the casino, now down $11 so it's time to move on. The sun is shining and we're going SOUTH. Wooo Wooo. Life is Good.
