JoeandMarcia
I think I will have to use our "wheels" to find what I'm looking for. It will be 1000's of miles not acres. jlnewby
Joe, if you're buying the land, surely we can build our own pads. Hmmmm....maybe it could be called "The City of 2007". Melissa Beahm
We finally made it here to Celina (GJR) around 5:00. Thankfully, our repairs in Kalida went well. We got here without incident and the winds didn't really pick up until we were parked!! There's a tree 1/2 down where we parked last year. Now, we're (hopefully) parked under some healthy trees. We met up with a couple friends from last year -- Molly and Bob Pinner and Debbie and Russ Davis (Eniva Health and Nutrition). Russ was a bit aghast when he realized Debbie and I had been chatting away during the Door Prize Give-Aways. Last year, he ended up (and I quote) "up on stage acting like a fool!" I thought he and Debbie and Bob did a FINE job with their appointed tasks!! This year, you may be happy to note, there a NO volunteer requirements. So, sit back and enjoy the show. The coolest thing tonight was this: the winner of the "Celina Music Store" gift certificate gave the certificate to us, figuring that we could use it more than they. Woo-hoo -- you betcha!!!! Such sweet ladies -- newbies to the RVing world. And neighbors of Debbie and Russ! I'll catch their names better throughout the next few days! Looking forward to calm enough weather to visit with the class of 2007!!!!! Melissa & Larry Beahm "One More Time" Music www.OMTmusic.com
Colorado Chappy
Well, we are finally on the road again tomorrow morning. Yippeeeee. For the better part of five months we have been within 75 miles of Alamosa and now we are finally on the move. We'll stop in Santa Fe to see our daughters tomorrow and then on to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta. Luckily, we will be close to Santa for the next two weeks so we can visit with our daughters a few times while in Albuquerque. JoeandMarcia
Jim and Bobbie, Glad to see your on the move again, I know I don't like "having" to be somewhere for a long time. Get the "JACKETS" out in Celina, and an umbrella? We are dropping down to Tucson today where we get lower temps, it is only going to be 102 in Tucson today, but the temps will drop tomorrow and the next day. I still think it is easier to cool off than it is to warm up. HAVE FUN wherever you are, and enjoy.... lelandschliep
Wow, great to get back to the discussion board. Haven't caught up yet but great to see all of you still out there. We're back at our property in Montana but the weather is making me have the "Hitch Itch" bad. Our plan is, as always cast in oatmeal but generally going to Kansas (both west and east ends) and then into Arkansas and eventually to the Texas Gulf. We'll drift west from there and end up in southern Cal at some point this winter. Like Joe, lots of places, none in particular. rhome
Hi All, We have moved under that cloud that has been hanging over some of the Class of 07. We are sitting at Cummins in Redding, CA waiting for a replacement turbocharger:( Like everyone else has shown these are just little bumps in the road. We hope that all those with ills are getting better and those with repairs are getting back on the road. To those at the GJR tie everything down and have a grand time. landrypatti
We are in Albuq. for the Balloon Fiesta. We are staying in the rv park on the AFB. Bobbie, where are you'all staying for the Balloon Fiesta? Let's try to set-up a get-together. We can do a lunch or dinner or whatever. Maybe there will be enough to do a mini-reunion of sorts. Jay, we are wintering in FL still. But, if we went back to RGV, we would return to the Paradise South RV Park in Mercedes. Nice facility, friendly people & lots of fun activities of all kinds & good price. Would be hard to be bored there. I am now almost completely recovered from a viral flu (not swine). Fortunately Hank didn't get it. ;-) My being "normal" has been questioned by some, but at least I am almost back to that! ;-) Safe travels everyone! Watch the high winds associated with "cold" fronts moving in to your areas. Out here in NV, AZ & NM they were predicting wind gusts up to 50 mph!!! chiefneon
Howdy! Been awhile between post but we keep up with everyone reading your adventures daily when we have service. We're back in Texas at Thousand Trails Lake Conroe. We have joined the rank as others with RV problems. Our slide motor went out on the large side. Thank goodness we were able to get the slide in before it went out. Carriage sent us a motor replacement yesterday but forgot to replace the gear, so it should be here Thursday. We're tired of crawling over the counter to excess the rear of the 5er. Should not complain as this is the first problem we've had an this 5er has been down the road few miles. On another note we have a closing date on Monday to purchase some property in Livingston. We found a few acres on the back side of Escapees which will make for a good home base. Every thing we need at this time FHU's some storage and low almost no maintance. Stay safe, Seeya down the road! lelandschliep
No one will be fighting for space at our place in Montana this time of year. It's predicted to be 31(f) every night for the next week and then it starts to get cold. We'll be moving on soon, needless to say. Just few more things to get done and then OUTTA HERE!
