CLASS OF 2007 follow along with us.

After spending a week in Las Vegas while some friends from back East were vacationing there, I have moved over to Pair-A-Dice in Pahrump, NV for at least a week. From here I will be heading into Death Valley for the '49ers Encampment (website address: http://www.deathvalley49ers.org/) with either the Escapees SOLOS or the FMCA SI's (haven't decided which). I'll be wintering in the CA/AZ area and expect to be in Quartzsite sometime after the FMCA Rally in Indio, CA the beginning of January.

I've enjoyed reading about everyone's travels. Sounds like everyone is having fun. Glad to read that Cathy & Leland are finally out of the cold & snow in MT.

If south Texas doesn't appeal to us you might see us roll in one day, but we are going to "try" south Texas this year.

Don't wait too long to head for TX, Joe & Marcia - 103 degrees on the car thermometer yesterday! Thankfully, it's a bit cooler today. Give us a holler when you get here (that goes for anyone else headed this way, too  ).

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't bring my car over for the few days but if I stay sister will bring it over. I looked around more today and like the park more, the more I see. I bet it gets busy during the cold months. Thanks again

Danny

Hi Danny,

Enjoy your time at Sumter Oaks. Nice park, great people. Connie and I will be down for the Chapter 27/15 rallies starting Nov. 9 and running through the 15th if you do both. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be the next Chapter 27 President, and we'll be looking for more members. ;-)

Cool days coming here in Ocala. Looks like we're gonna go from 90 to 70 with nothing in between, at least for a few days.

Hugs to y'all

Paul

J&L, yes it is a little too soon to be heading to south TX, we are in about the same boat here in Yuma AZ. We will be heading towards Vegas next week for the grand baby fix for 4 days, and then we might check out death valley since we will be so close and the Boondockers will be there. Then we start our meandering towards Brownsville. I looked at the "etch-a-sketch" and it shows us getting to southern TX in Dec.

Paul and Connie, it is good to see a post from you!!! Have FUN at the rally and tell everyone we said HI.

We're at the SKP park in Tn. and it's not to warm at 49 degrees at 1:30pm but better than Pa we're we were until a few days ago. We'll be here until the middle of next week and then move over to Crossville Tn to go to Cumberland Mt SP for there Friday night catfish buffet. From there we'll head to Cloudland Canyon SP in Ga. to camphost for Nov. We're going to try and winter on the Gulf Coast of Al & LA unless it gets to cold for us and if it does we'll head to Harlengen in south Tx. We'll be at the CARE center for April so anyone in the area stop by.

Trisha... If your looking for a great seafood buffet go to the Saddle West Casino on Friday night. It was the best buffet we have been to and we check them all.

We are in SKP park in Hollister/Branson, Missouri, to rest a couple of days. Head out to Coffeyville, Kansas, tomorrow to get ready to work for amazon.com again.

Trish - we will be in Q also in January; let's get together!

Paula and Tom - we loved the SKP park in Summerdale, Alabama; so much to do and the people are very inclusive and friendly. The ladies have different crafts going all week.

Joe and Marcia - we said "howdy" to Cindy for you here in Turkey Creek.

Hay Joe: how about a photo of you with your new pearly whites?

Love to you all, Bobbie

It is starting to get too cold for me in the Atlanta, GA. It was 47 degrees this morning. It is almost time to head to Florida again. We are planning on being in Bushnell for Thanksgiving. Anyone else going to be in the area?

Hey Norah....you are lucky you did not stay in Ohio. We are still on the farm waiting for Dr's appts. on Nov. 2nd. Last night it got down to 26 degrees, tonight it should only be 30. Next week it's starting to warm up, we hope. Crazy weather. John

Yes, Grand baby fixes are vital! ;-)

I agree that it is going to be a cold winter. It sure seems that way & I also saw it on the weather that the North is going to be warmer than usual, but the South is going to be colder. Brrrr!

Bobbie & Jim, we are headed to Harrison, AR which is about 40 mi south of Branson/Holister.... It doesn't usually get that cold there this early. In Dec. yes, but not in Nov. I am not ready for winter weather. I can handle Fall weather which is my favorite time of year, but freezing temps, snow, etc. I am not ready for! Yikes!

Also, we are in Amarillo at the Oasis RV Park. It is just as nice as you described & thanks for the recommendation! We got lucky & won a drawing for a free night's stay here! Those of you passing thru the Panhandle of TX & Amarillo on I-40.... take Exit 60 for the Oasis. There are lots of good things here & not expensive at all. Much cheaper than most of the places & it is new & clean! The price right now is $20 per night with full-hookup & free wi-fi & free laundry. I don't know how long that will be the case, but it is right now! "Try it, you'll like it!"

Hopefully we will all end up where we want to be & where we like/love to be!

Did we sell our houses and move into homes on wheels to be somewhere we don't like or want to be?

I understand "some" situations require us to be in certain places and maybe at the wrong time, but generally speaking we have WHEELS under our houses so point the nose to where you want to be and get them wheels rolling.

No more monthly site fees for me, unless I REALLY want to be there, and a weekly site fee is pushing it.

I know what you mean about the cold weather. It was only 80 yesterday and today they expect it to be about 70 here in Santa Paula. I just don't know how Pamela and Jones the Beagle will be able to handle the cold snap.

Oh well, it is supposed to get up to a livable 80 on Sat.

Keep warm,

Yeah!!!! It's actually supposed to be back into the 70s here today -- we love that.

Well, today is our last day in Virgina; tomorrow we start moving south and west. But first lunch with Bob & Molly, today and pickup the "famous" pillows. YEAH!!!

After a few days with the grandkids in NC we're off to Biloxi (to see a former high school friend of mine -- haven't seen her in 45 years), but first a stop at Moundville, AL to see the ancient Indian mounds.

Linda and Ron, we'll drop in and say a quick hello on our way through Biloxi.

The plan is to hang out at the Benson SKP park from Thanksgiving for 3 weeks, then Southern California for Christmas. After that we'll be knocking around Arizona for a couple of months.

Hope we have a chance to see many of you over the winter.

Hugs,

Howie & Norah

Hi All,

I know, we haven't posted in a while, but when I saw all the temps posted, I had to add ours. Tied a record high of 90 in Amarillo, TX yesterday. But cooler temps and some rain is on the way.

We signed up for another three days and are planning on leaving the area on Friday. Just to darn windy to head south. 20-30 MPH headwinds. The locals I've talked to say that's just breezy. Right.

Howie, I forgot to use that measuring stick you mentioned while we were in OH. Don't let me forget when you get to Benson.

Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well, me included.

Travel safely and hugs to all,

Trish! Great to hear from you. We were just wondering where you were wandering off to. I bet we get to see you this winter. Looking forward to it.

We are at Harlan County Lake COE Hunters Cove campground near Republican Nebraska tonight. I got the first ever use of my National Access Pass. $4 water and electric.

Weather, weather.... Even though it may snow I am SICK of worrying about the weather. It's outside the rig anyway so who cares.

From here to Olathe, Ks but maybe not right away. It is so beautiful here. Only one other rig in a hundred + site campground, Lake View, Deer and a Fox wandering around. LIFE IS GOOD! Lasagna and Chardonnay tonight. What the heck.. LIFE IS SUPER!
