I'm really getting homesick for those of you that spent time with Smokey and Pam... They happen to be two of our favorite on the road...They are also the frst frends that we met on the road almost three years ago...

We will be in Florida for the winter and would love to have you stop and see us....

Carolyn & Keith,

Glad to here your son made it there safe. Some day we hope to travel through those areas but guess we'll need to find out the best months to visit & avoid the bad weather.

We are back in the PNW south side of Mt. Baker.

Will be here for the summer till about Oct. Will spend time with our parents & family Here & on Whidbey Island.

Hope the "ORG" will find time to get to your MH. & do a good job with your repairs.

Carolyn & Keith,

We are so sorry to hear about the damages to your RV. Sometimes if it's not one thing its another. Glad all of you and your furry friends arrived safely.

We are hoping to spend the winter in FL. After 5 bucks/ gal for fuel this morning we aren't going west. And we will be taking our time this summer.

Almost "home" will have the grands hanging all over us in less than 20 minutes.

Surprisingly the traffic yesterday and today has been little to none. Guess people aren't traveling this holiday.

Hi everyone,

We finally started North from the SKP park in Benson just over a week ago. May 15th.

Did an overnight at the casino just outside of Globe. Eh.

Made our next stop at a park for the weekend in beautiful icon_rolleyes.gif Sun valley,AZ, at the Root 66 RV park. Didn't realize when we pulled in that the chickens and roosters that run around the campgrounds, have no sense of time. The roosters start crowing at 2AM !!! But, on the plus side, there's a sign that says free eggs at the owners house. Visited the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest while we were in the area.

Hit the road on Monday for a short drive to Chinle,AZ and a stop at Canyon De Chelly. Did the North and South rim drives, and a hike down into the canyon to see the White House ruins. Weather ranged from the 90's when we arrived, to the 40's when we left. One day we never made it out of the trailer because of the 30 MPH plus winds. The poor guys camped in tents across from us used big rocks to keep their tents from blowing out of the campground.

Left on Friday (23rd), headed for Mancos, CO. Sweetie, is that snow mixed in with the rain?? Yep. At least when we stopped to see the Four Corners Monument, it was only blowing and not raining. Arrived at Echo Basin CG in a blizzard. Got parked and back on the grid. No Verizon at Chinle.

Woke up the next morning to about 2" of fresh snow. Boy were we all surprised to see that, especially our dog, Pogo. Uncle Paul and Aunt Connie, Pogo says "Woof". The snow at least melted pretty fast as soon as the sun peeked out.

We'll be doing a trip to Mesa Verde National Park the next couple of days. Weather is suposed to be nicer as the week goes on.

Bobbie & Jim, forgot that you were hosting right on our route to Colorado Springs. Might there be a spot for our fifth wheel??

That's about it for now. Looking forward to hooking back up with a bunch of you all at the Escapade.

Safe travels where ever you go.

Hugs,

Rick, Terry & Pogo

Rick, there you go using those dirty four letter words......S**W

Glad to hear you two got away from Benson for a while, we have wheels on these rigs for a reason.

We hope everyone has a gr8 time in WY, we will be visiting the northeast. They have these rallies on the wrong side of the US for us, we are always on the other side. Maybe we will catch up to one one of these days.

We will be doing Nick's rally in OH come Sept, (if the good lord is willing and the creeks don't rise too much). We hope to see all or many classmates there.

Hi all,

We're just about ready to head out of California tomorrow AM.

We're going toward Zion for a couple days, and then heading slowly North and East toward Gillette.

We're still planning to stop somewhere for a week or so in between Zion and there.

I know we're gonna try to do Yellowstone for at least a couple days (assuming elevation isn't a problem) and would be happy with any positive recommendations for RV parks near there, that can handle a 38-ft pusher.

Looking forward to seeing all of our group at Escapade.

hugs

Paul

We pulled into the Kentucky Horse Park tonight, the little CG we stayed at last year has raised their rates too much for us, so we will rough it here at the Horse Park in the "Primitive" area with 30 amp electric and a dump station and water a couple hundred feet away. (the main park has electric and water on sites)

Anyone coming by give us a yell and we will find a good place to eat, or fire up the grill, and Marcia may even find the Margarator.

we will be here until the 4th or 5th of June.

Topsweep, try Valley View RV Park on US 20 at the east end of Island Park, ID. 888-558-7443. It is 13 miles west of West Yellowstone. Beautiful drive to park and many other things. Gets you out of the tourist trap of West Yellowstone. Price is right also. Not fancy, but you will have plenty of room. Our 38' 5er and truck, slides has all kinds of room plus more room. Huge laundry. Give Mariyln and Wendell a call . We made a month reservation there yesterday. Have spent about 2 months there over 2 summers. No power problems either. Have fun!

Morning,

Yep we're slowly working our way North to Gillette.

Spent the past three days touring Mesa Verde National Park.

Going to try and stop by and see Bobbie & Jim, but haven't heard back from them yet.

Thinking of stopping and seeing the Great Sand Dunes Nat. Park on our way to Colorado Springs, where we'll stop and see one of my cousins.

From there Rocky Mountain NP, then who knows.

Safe travels all.

Hugs,

Rick, Terry & Pogo

Howdy everyone!

We've been out of touch a bit traveling north. We had about five days of rain which we haven't seen the likes of after leaving Texas in December. We spent a few days in Glacier NP St Mary, MT. Just set in the rain. "The Road to the sun" was only open about five miles in, and before we left they closed it because of rising rivers.

We Travel north into Canada and are now in Dawson Creek, BC Mile "0" on the Alaska Highway.

Weather now is beautiful mid 70's days 50's at night bright blue sky and lots of fresh air and friendly people.

How cool that everyone is on the move. US too.

We are near Omaha and Lincoln, NE today. After spending most of last week and the weekend avoiding tornados, heavy winds and thunderstorms we will be happy to be out of western Nebraska. Tomorrow we start a slow drive towards Rapid City, SD on our way to Escapade.

Howie,

There is a nice RV Park called Hayworth Park in Bellevue NE which is just outside Omaha on the river.

We spent a few days there last year. The camphost,(he calls it something else) has lived there in the CG for 20+ years. I can't imagine spending a winter there in a RV.

Boy, take a few days off (like all of them) and next thing you know there are three more pages of posts.

Pamela and I spent the holiday weekend at the Colorado River on the Parker Strip. We stayed at the North Island portion of Buckskin State Park. This is a good location for us as we have friends in the area.

We are currently in Williams, AZ. Our friends from Parker area have four acres just north of town. This is a beautiful spot to boondock.

We will be at Zion National Park for two weeks begining June 4. If anyone is in the area, stop by and see us.

Hi all, Leland and Cathy here. We are in Montana setting up our newly purchased home base. We bought 2 acres with a garage on it. The garage is our storage and I am in the process of installing an RV hookup. We are now boondocking on the property. We will be here till Escapade. Envy those not doing "home owner" chores. take care and be careful. See you at Gilette.

Jay, sorry to hear you may have health issues messin' with your travelin' plans. That's definitely no fun. Fay, an annual horse ride!? My buns couldn't take it. It's been probably at least 15 years since I've been on a horse. Hope all goes well, and you're both "back in the saddle" soon.
