Steve, would you happen to mean the WH "Casa Grande RV Resort" like the one we will be at Wednesday night?? (and Thurs and Fri). Can we get together Thursday with everyone? Since Keith and I haven't been in the area before, any suggestions as to where we could meet? Possibly our coach or a restaurant someone knows about? We are open to going to Mesa, too. What say?

Gail & Keith,

I'm at the Western Horizon Desert Shadows resort in Casa Grande but have to leave Thursday morning. I'm trying to get a couple of extra days and hoping someone cancels their reservation. Is this where you are headed?

I think it would be great if we could meet up with the folks up in Mesa.

Ali and Ron,

It would have been nice to meet you-- we spent an extra day in Tucson so we could go dancing on Tues morning and spend the rest of the day at the Desert Museum. Dinner plans tonight will be the 2 for 1 buffet at Casino of the Sun. If you may have stayed, would you care to join us? Our "campground" is Casino del Sol along with about 30 other RVs. Just brought home $70 after an evening there  Our cellphone # is the same as always.

Steve, we are planning the same resort as you. Sorry we delayed a day at Tucson. We would also be available Wednesday night. What site are you?

Duane and Louise-- Sorry to have missed you-I should have read a few pages ago that you were there. I was so surprised that Dream Catcher had so few residents. We got there late in the evening and left after a leisurely breakfast. That was compensation for a 500 mile trip the day before. We never do that many miles a day because there are too many distractions along the way. Unless it is 40 outside. We love New Mexico, but only when the weather is comfortable.

Suzanne, Jeff, Gordon, Juanita, Dave, Toni; It has been sooo long. We are looking forward to catching up.

Hi Gail & Keith...oh wish we had known. We are already in McNeal at Ron's aunt & uncles. We leave here on Thursday to head towards El Paso and then Kerrville. Safe travels and who knows we may just meet up sometime down the road.

Nice folks in the office worked it out so I can stay two more days here at the Western Horizons Desert Shadows in Casa Grande. I'm good here until Saturday morning then it's off to Yuma.

Any chance of a gathering in Mesa on Friday???

It was such fun to get together with our "old" friends. (The quotation marks are because that was the farthest from the way we were acting!) Nothing like a bunch of RVers with great stories to tell and having a grand time in life. Thank you, everyone, for getting together with us, especially Steve who had to forego his Texas Hold'em Tourney. Hope you would have lost last night instead of winning big--now you are free to win next time.

Keep safe on those roads.

It was great seeing you all again and catching up. Lot of good laughs.

Yea, missed the Texas Hold'em but played in a pinochel tourny today to ease my pain. Didn't work, I lost! Next time......

  • 2 weeks later...

We have now moved to Laughlin for a week to visit with my Aunt. We'll try to stay away from the buffets and plan only a few casino trips saving the best for Vegas next week.

Hams,

I left some money on the tables in Las Vegas for you guys. Be sure to collect. However, there may not be much in the way of Breakfast Buffet left for you....I pigged out on three of them! :o

13 more days in Deming, NM then it's off to Congress, AZ for wood carving week and then bead week. After that we will head to the coast and up to San Fransico area to visit the kids and grandkids there. Hope we can afford the gas bill....lol Hope to see some of you on the road.

We got into Vegas on Monday and will be here (Thousand Trails) until the 21st, then out to the FamCamp at Nellis AFB until April.

Howdy classmates!

Sorry we missed a few of you traveling through AZ during the past few weeks. Our two week visit during the holidays was far too short and we plan to spend next winter in Mesa to make up for that.

We are still on the southern Oregon coast in Port Orford but plan on hitting the road on April 1st. Our current plan is to spend a week in Winchester Bay and another week in Newport before going someplace or another in the northwest for a month or so before returning to Port Orford for the summer.

If any of you are heading north on Hwy 101, let us know and we will try to meet up somewhere. Otherwise, we expect to arrive in Mesa sometime in early November.

Other than the occasional snowstorm, lots of rain and the odd tsunami, we have had a quiet winter.

We look forward to seeing y'all down the road......

Gordon and Juanita,

Glad to hear you dodged the Tsusami. Port Orford was mentioned on ABC news and like you we don't know why.

We also expect to return to Quartzsite, AZ in mid November. We will work on planning a few days on the return trip in Mesa and hopefully we can get together again. Pizza anyone??.

We will hit the road on the 5th of April, heading to Sedona, AZ, ALBQ, NM, up through Colorado to Box Elder, SD to renew our Driver's License. Then off to the HR Diesel Pusher Maintenance Rally in Goshen In end of April beginning of May. From there we are off to visits friends and relatives in Ohio, PA, NY. I have one daughter who is getting her 4 year degree and moving on to her masters. I also have two grandsons who are graduating HS and going on to college. So a busy summer. We also plan to explore lower Delaware as a nesting area on the East Coast. Everyone have safe travels and hopefully we cross paths.

We're now in the Palm Springs area for the next three weeks. It is hot and the park power is not that great. Ugh! Cool downs coming so hopefully things will be better in a couple of days.

Hey Gang, Shelly and I are still in Tucson but will be in Mesa on the 31st thru April 3rd, so I can ride in the Tour de Mesa. TDM is a charity event to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphona Society http://www.perimeterbicycling.com/!ETP/ETPhome.html . My ambitious goal is to raise $300 and to complete the 72 mile course. Anyone interested in sponsoring me, please let me know!

I know many have already left Mesa, but if anyone will be in the area, let us know. Always great to see fellow classmates!

We haven't decided were we are heading for the summer yet but should be leaving Tucson around April 20th.
