Jack Mayer
The best day to go is typically Thursday. That is often the least crowded. I DO NOT advise going on Saturday or Sunday if you have an option. Also, if you really want to get a flavor for the show it takes at least two days to see it. So, Ideally, I would go Wed and Thursday. Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's. Jack Mayer
Rick, you might be interested in seeing the new New Horizons show model. It is similar to the Excel floorplan that came out a year or so ago. Front bath, sink in island, ENTRANCE in slide. 39'. I believe you have seen the pictures. It should be interesting. And it is priced just above an Elite Suite. Just something different. Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's. chindog
Anyone know if there is a dump station at the fairgrounds? We arrive on Tuesday, leave on Sunday, and I'm afraid we'll fill the gray tank. If there is a dump station, we could use a blue boy tank to haul it there. PSD_Tweaker
Chindog, as far as I know there is no dump station available to on-site campers. I have dry-camped & camped in the electric area over 7 years & never heard of a dump station. rdickinson
I'd look up "Waste Management" Looks like they provide the Porta Johns for construction sites. Ask the people who put on the show, this isn't their first rodeo. There will be other firms providing portable toilets, Google up" Tampa portable toilet rentals", there are a number of them. lappir
Booked a room for Saturday night fairly close. In past years I have risen early drove or rode up thinking I would find a place to stay after but always have just went home arriving after dark and pretty tired. It was 3 hours 10 minutes from Wellington, Fl to Tampa. Now that I'm coming from Tallahassee it's 3 hours and 30 minutes. That extra 20 minutes each way could make me too tired. Will still plan to rise early and hopefully arrive before the majority of the crowd. Anyone want to share the time they open the gates?
