    Myth Busters

Have been on a highway lately? I don’t know how many unsafe cdl trained drivers we saw just on this trip that are doing everything but driving. It doesn’t take a genius to know you don’t speed through a construction zone but at least he has a cdl.
  5. Carl, mark and I both had some in Grenada. If we would have sprayed it then you would have had it off by now.
  6. Carl I wish our cheap heat worked as good as yours and David’s. It’s been worked on more than once and doesn’t put out half the heat. I would not spend the money on the cheap heat if I were to buy another trailer. I might have it installed by a qualified cheat heat installer and may even have this on looked at by one. It’s a shame to burn through a 40 lb tank of propane every 3-4 days.
  7. And you will have a rougher ride on the trailer with that light of a load.
  8. Should be embarrassed to let himself get that low on propane when he knew it was going to stay cold. Bet if he had a generator it was propane too. We have two 40 lb tanks and when we are in cold weather as soon as one runs out I fill it up, and keep the 30 gal diesel tank filled for the generator. You never know what might happen.
  9. Propane refrigerator MAY be the most common cause but I don’t see what would make it worse by driving. If you have a gas truck and you stop to refuel you might want to turn it off. We switched our to a 12 volt dual compressor cooling unit and don’t need to worry about that anymore.
  10. We always travel with it on, used to travel with propane on then when we got solar and batteries we let it run on the inverter.
  11. Yes we had a 2118 and ran it but have solar panels and 8 lithium batteries. Closest we figure it took 600 watts to run it. We had 1280 watts on the roof.

  13. Leaving Highland Illinois in a couple hours heading to Rend Lake South Marcum Coe park for a few days then Lake wappappello.
  14. There are a few out at Quartzite already. Steve and Gail Dixon are there. I think a few mor are too.
  15. We have the same wear on our steers had 2 different alignments and the second one had to bend the axle to get it back in spec. It was the passenger side front. Made a big difference on the way it steered on the highway. Always had a pull to the right even on left curves. On the last short trip we didn’t load the car just had the trailer on the truck and the outside edges of the tread looked scuffed more than when we have the car loaded on the truck. When we leave next Tuesday with car loaded I will be sure to look at the tires again. And nothing should be worn out on the truck yet. 44600 miles
  16. Don’t look at the dry weight look at the trailer gvwr.
  17. Did you buy the new horizon toy hauler that was on their lot? All white one, flex armor roof I think it was a 2007.
  18. We have been full time for 3 1/2 years and our biggest frustration is the people with dogs that think everyone wants to pet them. We don’t. Especially the one who don’t leash them or let the have 25 ft lead. We love dogs but not the owners who have no consideration for others. Keep them in your own site and we are fine. Nothing else has been a problem anywhere we have been and have no regrets on full timing. We are 56-60 and hope to have the longevity that others have had.
