  1. If you use 1/4 min. 3/8 would be over kill but will work
  2. It will work just use angle iron or thick wall tubing. I think the angle would work the best as far as getting the bolts tight. You could also use aluminum angle.
  3. Do you have room in the slide for a narrow floor cabinet that could sit next to a chair or other piece of furniture to be an end table? The after the floor is flattened you could put a couple of pieces of angle iron inside the cabinet, one on each side. Then run carriage bolts from the bottom of the slide through the floor and into the bottom of the cabinet and the iron and nuts would be hidden in the Cabinet. That would keep it flat without being seen or get in the way of the slide working.
  4. Ok have never heard that from anyone here. It’s a nice site but gets the afternoon sun
  5. No, if you look at the map the dry camping area in blue has site 620 that is not blue. That site is the same color as all the rest of the sites “hence” full hook ups. We stayed in that site for a week last year in January, then 10 days in March on a lease lot. This year we are going on 3 months here on a lease lot. The only thing that site 620 doesn’t have is cable tv.
  6. Benson has 1 dry camping spot that does have full hookups. All of the regular lots have full hook ups but when the park is full you go to dry camp to wait for a site. The full hookup site in dry camp is the same price as one of the lots. Benson has a volunteer group that fills propane on Monday morning.
  7. We have been at Saguaro skp park in Benson for almost 3 months now except for time in quartzite. Been to 3 other escapee parks but this one is the most friendly and active that we have experienced. The lot prices here are reasonable with all the amenities you get. The key here is volunteering. That’s what keeps the price down. If you haven’t been here stop and take a tour of the park. It won’t be time wasted
  8. Hi Solo 18 that was us. Truck says private rv and is not required to be displayed. Some people do some don’t. The smart car is gas. We have the side by side with us now, we are in Arizona for the winter. Safe travels
  9. I put slug in the spring hole but did not fix it. I can see where the slide box slightly out of place could do it. I’ll put a picture of it here.
  10. Hey Henry has there been anymore info on the et hitch jaws from young’s? When we were looking at ours a year and a half ago at the national hdt rally and found that with any pull on the jaws they opened 3/16-1/4. I fixed mine from doing that but have you found out what has changed since you were building them. The older hitched we checked stayed closed tight.
  11. I’m wondering if the blinking is when they are off and when something like the water heater or furnace kick on they get a blink that is dim. 12 volt and led light. Someone explained it to me before but I couldn’t repeat it without getting it mixed up. Ours do it too but you can’t see it during the day it’s only when I’m awake at night and all the lights are off. Has something to do with the negative side and a higher power draw turning on. If they just replace the lights I would think they will still blink.
  12. Had the same sensor replaced at 30000 miles but had 3 hour derate when it came on.
  13. Rick always has that camera when Susan is working

    Myth Busters

Not all Rick, we had some in different shops (hacksaw type saw) that lifted a very small amount. Maybe not enough to see but it you put a trained finger on it you could feel. Most of our saws were the horizontal bandsaws with at least a 1 inch blade

True but you don’t need to completely lift it off the material being filed or cut. Easy with a file to lift but on the backstroke just lift up on the pressure
  16. We carried 12000 once with us when we sold a truck and the guy brought all $100 dollar bills. We weren’t near our bank so we took a long time to use it up. Any pay boxes at campgrounds with self pay get a check, no cash. We don’t carry more than a few hundred now because it’s easy to get. Any time we go to a Walmart we get cash back with no fee. $100 max
  17. Went to happy hour then met with the chapter 6&21 group for our happy hour and fire. Very nice day.

Rick you’re getting def for a little over a dollar a gallon?
  19. We have been using escapees South Dakota pmb address for 4 years and our bank in Illinois uses it as an address and we’ve had no problems. Our Morgan Stanley accounts uses the pmb but we had to give another address to be located at. Used my brothers address. It’s not for mailing purposes. All has been fine.
  20. Yes when I hitch up as soon as we moved the truck the jaws would open like the picture. Now when hitched up and I can pull on the arm the jaws close the rest of the way then I can put the pin in on the plate I welded on the arm and the locking block that keeps the jaws closed doesn’t move.
  21. I did the same thing Rick. Now the jaws stay closed all the way not open like they did before. At the 2022 national hdt rally I looked at a lot of et hitches and the older ones stayed tight, the newer ones have a lot of slop in them. Haven’t heard anymore about a fix from the inverter in a while so did the addition and use a pin to keep the jaws closed.
