  1. What are you wanting to accomplish and do you really mean a cassette like used in a popup?
  2. The first step is make sure it is working as it is meant to work. Remove the inside cover and make sure the divider is in place and sealed. You don't want any possibility of the input and output mixing inside the unit. Use foil duct tape, not the cheap stuff. While inside the unit insure the duct work is sealed to the plenum and not blowing cold air into the ceiling. Use the foil tape as needed. Next remove each ceiling vent and use the same foil duct tape to insure all the cold air comes out the opening and not into the ceiling. Any luck?
  3. Some of the comments remind me of a joke; "The only thing cheap in an RV is the owner".
  4. Capital One is our primary bank although we also use many others. The Capital One debit card accesses free ATMs all over. In any city I have never been more than five miles from a free ATM. Most of our purchases are on a few high cash back credit cards which get paid off every month. I NEVER use a debit card for purchases.
  5. Our Dometic kept freezing things in the refrigerator. I fiddled with it for a month or two and finally moved the thermister from the extreme right fin one fin left. That fin change solved the issue and it now keeps a nice stabil 36 - 38 degrees.
  6. I'm not qualified to advise you but I have installed the ARP on two different Dometic refrigerators. At first glance I found it confusing. I took my Chromebook to the trailer, went to the instructions for my refrigerator and followed them step by step. By taking things one step at a time it all fell into place. FWIW, both installs I removed the refrigerator, and placed it on a table so I could comfortably sit on a stool. Although it can be done outside through the vent opening I found it worth the extra effort to remove. The additional benefit is I added additional baffles and insulation behind the refrigerator.
  7. Depends on a lot of factors and although we have visited many, we haven't visited all. For us the top two would be Saguaro because of the membership, activities, and is very well run. The other one in the top two would be the SKP Resort because it is the warmest park and it's green rather than the desert of Arizona.
  8. I think it is rude for you to make that allegation. I am a GS life member and a former club officer. I LOVE the GS club as well as the SKP club. However I have no affection or respect for the corporate office. To the corporate office the club is a "marketing tool". DO NOT confuse the club with corporate, they are entirely different entities other than the corporate owns the club. Nevertheless if you read rvtravel editorials, it is like reading the ramblings of a grumpy old curmudgeon, a very negative attitude abounds. They never miss any opportunity to fling arrows at Lemonis or Good Sam Enterprises whether the information is factual or not.
  9. RVTravel.com has a big issue with everything Good Sam related. In fact, they are very negative in general. I put more stock in the information released by TSD than rvtravel.
  10. Maybe something they would rather not admit? Been there and done that! 😁
  11. Incorrect. Pilot/Flying J (first party) notified TSD (second party) that they were in violation of their agreement. The discount agreement was for TSD fleet purchases but in Pilot's opinion TSD was reselling the fuel to a third party (RVers). Good Sam and Marcus Lemonis had nothing to do with the decision. TSD has warned card holders to have no communication with the suppliers that are giving discounts out of fear of losing more contracts. Edit to add; this information was from the TSD Facebook page which I have followed for a long time.
  12. No benefit to me. Also you should consider the political leanings of the organization and be sure they mesh with yours. Not being political, just saying do your own evaluation.
  13. Always go bigger than you think you need. The stability and comfort of a larger truck is priceless and you really can't have too much truck. The price difference between a half ton and a one ton is minimal. I would suggest a 3/4 ton minimum. You want a vehicle that is stable and secure on the worst day in the worst conditions.
  14. On the TSD Facebook group today someone posted that they got fuel for $1.36 when the posted price was $2.74. I've got rewards credit cards and the Good Sam card but nothing can touch the TSD discount.
  15. It is very legit. We got it last fall and used it this past snowbird season. Great savings.
  16. I love the Good Sam Club the same as I love the Escapee Club. I've been a chapter officer and have been active at the state level. I've attended probably over 75 Good Sam Club events. I've made many great friends through both clubs. Unfortunately the corporation that owns the club, Camping World, Gander RV, and many other entities has badly tarnished the name of the Good Sam Club. With almost no beneficial support from the corporation, the only thing holding the Good Sam Club together was the state and local organizations. Marcus Lemonis long ago showed his disdain for the club when he said it was one of several "marketing tools". I fear this may be the end of the club as being of any benefit to the members.
  17. Good tip, I painted the front of the coupler white for better visibility.
