  1. Perhaps a saw horse with a carpet remnant would hold it up better than say a mother in law could?
  2. 10-4, I passed 4 or 5 Menard's on the way through South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri and Illinois, but we are already back in Georgia heading back home to Florida now.😣
  3. Henry, or this? https://www.ebay.com/i/113145308788?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=113145308788&targetid=595232467189&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=9012528&poi=&campaignid=1689945007&mkgroupid=69559042207&rlsatarget=pla-595232467189&abcId=1140466&merchantid=6296724&gclid=CjwKCAjwgqbpBRAREiwAF046JdOAtdHHd4mmQ2zwgu8vmgMwk_JasaffbNgGnbY8DaydLjpkmXqOSxoCnzMQAvD_BwE
  4. Henry, will this work? http://GILPIN IRONWORKS 579 1-1/4BLK Floor PostFlange https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001B1583G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_V3JkDbQ6W7F0A
  5. DAVE at Deep Space Lighting has the socket size for sale. I took a screw out of the dash of my Gen2 Volvo and placed two nuts on it so I could use a metric socket to adjust the headlights.
  6. Found a great new Campground, with a very friendly owner. shawneeforestcampground.com Right in the center of the forest in an old golf course, converted to a CG. Gary the owner opened the CG on Memorial day weekend this spring. 60 full hook up sights, with 31 pull through sites that are long enough to handle my HDT, TT, and the Jeep on the site. The trees are mature and the grass is as nice as golf course grass.🤣. Gary, the owner was very helpful when we arrived, and was intrigued by the HDT Hauler, and very welcoming. If you are in southern Illinois, this may be a great option for a CG.
  7. We are in Ouray Colorado, leaving Sunday the 30th for Colorado Springs.
  8. In some of the electronics I work on, wear on vinyl gears meshing together will throw timing off enough to throw a code. We often get software that changes timing tolerances to compensate. Much easier to keep the product firmware/software up to date than to replace worn components. Cheaper too.
  9. Agreed, I love a lot of Lippert products, but the frames I am not a fan.
  10. Check your local grocer as well. In the East, Publix often has a $50 gas gift card that can be purchased for $40 when you purchase $50 dollars worth of groceries. Very hard to beat 20% off. Two different stations have agreements right now, Racetrac and Marathon. We buy a card for each $50 spent so $150 trip to Publix nets us three cards for $120. We buy the cards throughout the year, to ease the blow of the cost of fuel during summer travels. We will be heading to SW Colorado on Thursday morning for 10 days, than on to SW South Dakota for ten.
  11. I use an inverter generator powered by gas. I add Stabil to the fuel and when I am done with the generator, I simply shut the fuel off and run the gen until all the fuel in the carb is burned. The fuel in the marine tank can then be used up in the lawn tractor.
  12. Miss Alie and Mr. Jim, Hope to see you in Central Florida sometime. I trust North Georgia is treating you well thus far. Michael and Licia
  13. put a cotton ball in the ear opposite of the hose👍
  14. A floor jack like a 3 ton will get one wheel off the ground. A bottle jack is cheap and will also work. The lug nuts are very tight.

  16. Replace the CHRA core, and reuse the housings. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Volvo-Heavy-Duty-Trucks-D12-Turbo-Turbocharger-HX52-3599996-CHRA-Cartridge-Core/323363852540?hash=item4b49fcd0fc:g:MhwAAOSwAopbVp5j

  18. Straps are triangulated on The Jeep. All four straps pull opposite of each other, and the Jeep has wheel chocks in the front. The second photo is NOT how the Jeep travels, the first photo IS. I contemplated the Etrack system, but my deck is wood, and I prefer the weld on D ring tie downs at the corner over the Etrack bolted with anchor plates under the wood deck. I have hauled the Jeep this way since 2001, after a friend tying his Jeep down by the frame broke his car hauler Featherlite from not letting the suspension work.
  19. Vulcan 2" x 144" Exotic Car Rim Tie Downs w/Ratchets - 3300 lbs. SWL, 4 Pack https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A7YJ59G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  20. I have had great success with these straps. Never come loose, Jeep does not move on the deck. Cannot seem to remove this second photo, I have not driven with the straps to the side of each tire, only at an angle like the top photo.
