  1. Walmart is using fuel cell forklifts now. https://www.mhlnews.com/powered-vehicles-and-forklifts/article/22049837/walmart-expands-its-fuel-cell-infrastructure
  2. 10000 psi tank pressure.https://www.energy.gov/eere/articles/5-things-know-when-filling-your-fuel-cell-electric-vehicle
  3. Looks like the new Honda Clarity can go 360 miles on a tank of hydrogen. Finding a hydrogen station will be a problem for a while. https://automobiles.honda.com/clarity-fuel-cell/specs-features-trim-comparison
  4. Agree, bought gold and silver, and am now considering bitcom.
  5. Good article, hydrogen does have many advantages over batteries in many cases, but the cost of production and the cost of distribution is why it is not more popular.
  6. About 40 miles south of houston and just got a Samsung Flip 5G, not sure if model of phone make a lot of difference, but my wifes Moto Z got 10500 mbps download on 4G LTE, and I got 21000 mbps on my Flip 5G, but Had to move outside to get that speed, otherwise phone would change between 4G and 5G.
  7. Here is some good info on bear spray vs pepper spray. Pepper spray has 10 times the capsicum and is used as a defence, whereas Bear spray is just a deterrent. Where legal would carry pepper spray. https://www.selfdefenseninja.com/bear-spray-vs-pepper-spray-whats-difference/
  8. Good to know, they waited till I bought a Roku and paid for a year of Locast so I could get my local channels that were removed on Directv.
  9. Appears to be an advancement on the current 4G LTE network as it uses the same antennas, etc. as the existing networks. Appears you will need a hardware change anyway on your phone though even if the frequencies are the same. How much faster is the DSS 5G over 4G LTE?
  10. Interesting, but agree that antennas 100 meters apart is not feasible for most of non urban America.
  11. Thanks, never would have thought of that.
  12. Auto transfer switch works fine with generators and shore power , but in your case would just keep track of your battery SOC, and just manually switch to grid power when batteries get low, manual switch is cheaper too.
  13. https://www.electricgeneratorsdirect.com/stories/3-How-to-Pick-the-Perfect-Manual-Transfer-Switch.html Not sure why you need an auto transformer. If your inverter supplies 240 volts to your trailer breaker panel, 50 amp grid power would do the same thing, transfer switch just picks one source or the other assuming your inverter would supply 240 volts with a neutral. If you only have 30 amp service, different situation. If an electric provider hard wires power to the transfer switch, should be easy to specify what voltage and amperage you want.
  14. It's back, also thought I did something bad, but don't see an edit on your own posts anymore.
  15. I have 5200 watts, not enough to run house, [I have old fashioned big watts central air.} Your other option if you can't grid tie, is run grid power to transfer switch and use batteries and solar when possible, and switch over to grid power when batteries and solar can't handle it.
  16. Trouble with Texas is they have over 70 electric providers. Where I live, no net metering at all. My solar guy 20 miles away has net metering but only get credits on his bill and cannot sell excess power back to the electric company. Works for him because he can use those credits on his non solar houses. In some states they will buy your power at wholesale prices which may only be 1 or 2 cents per KW. Like you say, check with your different providers.
  17. Overkill looks good, a bluetooth readout for your phone or tablet is invaluably.
  18. Don't forget a BMS for each 12 volt bank you build.
  19. Nice thing about Battleborn's is they will take a big charge until they are full, so if charging from solar, they will take advantage of your max solar output. without the solar derating current for absorption and float. Same with charging from generator through converter or inverter/charger, Much shorter gen run time. I swapped my four 8D's at 500 usable a/h's to 6 battleborn's and freed up space and dropped 460 lbs.
  20. https://grealpha.com/resources/dc-load-wiring-calculator/ This one uses one wire lenght for calculation.
  21. Also been to Vladivostok in the 90's delivering missile cutters after the missile reduction program. Great people, very friendly. Trouble was the cutters weighted 90 tons and they had no way to transport them to the missile sites. Last I heard they were still sitting at the dock rusting away. Did buy a case of plum vodka, alas, was so good, drank it within a year.

985 lb NCC, 23 gal FW, yes a good weekender. $238000 list price is probably a little rich for most Chass C Sprinter buyers.
  23. Never leave mine hooked up to shore water. Fill the tank and use coach water pump till 1/4, fill again and start over. Had a buddy on shore water, that left for the day, and came back to coach will water coming out from all sides of the coach and a small lake under the coach. Pex fitting came loose under sink. I turn my water pump on when I need water, and off when I don't need it.
