  1. 2X on Henry's, did my summer single wide roof, and ac usage dropped way down. Used the white which is better than the silver.
  2. About 10 years ago, bought 10 Renogy 100 watt panels for $210 each because they were easy to install on my bus conversion curved roof. Worked good for about a year, then they started yellowing and production dropped off. Don't remember if they had a warranty, because I sold the bus with them still on, but won't buy them again. I am sure John T. is right and they would heat up your RV. I didn't really notice because I had 2 1/2 inches of spray insulation on the roof.
  3. They appear to cost twice as much as rigid panels.
  4. If I could live in that small a space with tiny tanks, would be interested.
  5. Have read in a few forums about problems with the inverter on a couple of the Onan QD 7 and 8 kw models. Cummins/Onan have them in stock but they are very expensive to replace.
  6. Or, buy the parts, less than $50, and watch all the videos on U-tube and find a young guy to do the work with you supervising.
  7. I do get SS payments to my bank and have used my credit cards on HTTPS sites, never talk about weapons, locations etc online, and other than annoying emails and pop-ups relating to my search histories, have never been scammed or taken advantage of. Think in this day and age, some of your info will always be out there, but if you perform your due diligence you are less likely to be taken advantage of. I did watch Person of Interest when it was on regular TV and thought it was a great series but predicting people"s behavior and acting on it, is still in the far future.
  8. Realize that because do get ads from google, but how do they get my private information? I guess google could do a search, but how can they get my ss#, credit card info etc if I not entered it into any site that google can access?
  9. I know google collects info on my searches, I can tell by the ads I receive, but how does u-tube collect any personal information?
  10. I am old enough that news was what was in newspapers and what you heard on am radio. Seemed fairly impartial in those days. Have some nephews that will read something on Facebook and when they agree with it, it becomes a fact. Personally don't use any social media except for how-to videos.
  11. Don't know if it is true, [might have read it on facebook] but it said 70% of millennials get all their news info off facebook and other social media. That is troubling to me.
  12. Funny, I also looked at a Dynaquest 260, and also did not like the sofa bed, pretty well made the coach useless when bed was out. Ended up with a Sprinter based unit with twin beds in the back and a single slide in the front. Like it because it is completely practical with slide in, Great for stealth camping.
  13. I live in Texas, so won't work for me.
  14. When traveling use Blue Beacon, they only do the front, back and sides, so do not worry about them damaging anything on the roof. I use unistrut fastened down with VHB tape.
  15. Good to know, have an old pickup that will not pass emissions. How do I go about doing it?
  16. So you can just renew your registration every year from out of state and never get an inspection?
  17. Got stopped last week in Texas, if cop runs your plate or looks at you sticker he will see you have registration and insurance, can't get inspection without insurance, and can't get windshield sticker without getting inspection. But agree they will take insurance off my phone app.
  18. Yes, I see them on the windows, good idea, could put some adjustable arms on them so they could lock in different positions. At night lower them down, better than blackout curtains.
  19. I only have the Arc50 and the BMK and the only readout I get is battery voltage and amps out. So I can figure it out. The most I have ever pulled out of battery is about 2700 watts and that is with a combined 220 and 120 load.
  20. The label on my 4448 says max output amperage is 19. So at 220 volts, 4180 watts. . Not sure how to calculate it with both 120 and 220 volt loads.
  21. Good point, can use his converter to run 12 volt loads, will that work without a 12 volt battery? He will have to plug the converter into 120 source.
  22. Even with the transformer to feed 2 legs, isn't he still limited to 25 amps? Basically one AC on one leg and maybe a fridge and a small coffee pot on the other leg. 600 a/h will only run the ac for 3 or 4 hours without big solar assist. Now he has to buy the equipment necessary to charge the 24 volt batteries from a 12 volt alternator and a 24 to 12 volt converter to run his 12 volt house items.
  23. Not sure how to read your pic, with no shore power, do you mean one leg of 50 amp panel is fed by inverter and the other not? A lot of coaches have a subpanel just for inverter loads that is fed from main 50 panel when shore power available, and from inverter and batteries when not.
