  1. Finally.. a bit of rain today. Along with wind and cold.
  2. Is this an older person? It's not just the deaths that are bad, it's the sick overloading hospitals, making emergencies like broken bones, heart attacks and strokes much more difficult to deal with. Scheduled surgeries too. And I understand hospitals actually lose money on most Covid patients.
  3. As we are approaching the 1-year anniversary of this, I would hope the 'fake news' crowd is rapidly diminishing. Sadly, I don't think that will ever go away completely. I still see plenty of the unmasked in Quartzsite, with few mask requirements in stores. Many CA stores will not allow entry without one.. No shirt, no shoes, no mask... Covid has now made it to Antarctica. This is one tough virus.
  4. That depends on which media you're watching. Many times on CNN I've seen the full hospitals, refrigerated trucks, sad and exhausted nurses pleading with us to mask up, and then turn to Fox news and.... nothing. Nothing on their website either. "Not always accurate" can also mean complete disregard and omission.
  5. We're having a 9/11 almost every day. Somebody is getting the 'sniffles'
  6. I've grown tired of drive-by posters who can't show a bit of courtesy to respond. It's like asking someone a question on the phone, and after being given the answer, you just hang up. If a question is fairly complicated and will require a lengthy answer, I will first ask the OP a question to see if he or she is still around. No answer, no response.. but even that doesn't guarantee a thank- you return.
  7. From talking to my cat I'm sure she understands "walk", "travel day", and "beddie time"
  8. Yes it does, but that also may mean a long, crowded wait at a Flying J or eq. I will pay a bit more at a less busy place just for the convenience, and so far, no bad fuel. The biggest pain I have with my 2008 MDT Cummins 8.3L is the DPF( diesel particulate filter). I can't do much bareback city driving or I'll start getting that low growling engine noise followed by the DPF full light. I'm not sure if my engine is regenerating properly or what. I've tried the manual switch to force it, but that didn't work, but there's this weird slider on the button that I didn't see at first so maybe that's the trick. Anyway, for now, since I don't tow a vehicle I am forced to rent one for stays much longer than a week. It's expensive, which isn't a problem, it's finding a vehicle rental place and a taxi to get me there.
  9. I'm glad to see the forum has the 'Expand' feature on quoting entire gigantic posts.
  10. Yes, science has the technology now it has never had before. I'm amazed at the number of drug ads I see on TV. New things are coming all out all the time. Science does change, and rapidly at times. Big5er, Covid has not been "cured" in 8 months. We don't know if we'll need a yearly vaccine. Yes, science doesn't know everything, but it does know a lot. If you wait for perfection, you'll be waiting a long time.
  11. Not sure if your PI tells you this, but for future problems, install a Victron battery monitor (or eq) so you know exactly what's going in an coming out.
  12. I guess those who claim it's a hoax, overblown by the media and not a pandemic at all won't be needing a shot.
  13. Oh, ads. I kept wondering what an A D was.
  14. August.. brave man. Good idea on the gray water. I tend to do that myself.
  15. They could limit the number of campers. They could make sure they're properly distanced. But no, that's too hard, so they just close them. Considering how lax they are at maintenance in these campgrounds at the Salton sea, I can understand it.
  16. I just got booted out of a CA state park. Again. It happened in March also. Same twisted logic of removing self-contained campers who are far apart, and leaving bathrooms open for day use. I get it.. you want us to leave a perfectly safe place and go to a crowded RV park in a city.
  17. I don't know if all movers are the same, but I'd be prepared to have the charges upped before they pick it up, or once the load arrives.
  18. Understood, but an installation in a truck is going to be quite a bit different from an RV. If it's in this forum, is it understood it's about a truck?
