  1. That's not quite the whole story, but I'm sure that's what you want to believe.
  2. I find it amazing a nuke sub can go 20 years without refueling. Pretty darn cool. Power technology is changing so rapidly I wish I could live another 100 years to see where it goes. Lithium is amazing but still too darn expensive for most of us. I wouldn't mind having a small nuclear reactor in my RV!
  3. Play on the word 'ticked' from the original title.
  4. I probably read that several times before I realized it was not 'ticketed.'
  5. Even pets have to have proof of vaccinations to travel or be in certain areas. I just don't think any of this qualifies for "slippery slope" or government overreach arguments. It's just good sense and trying to control a disease.
  6. Probably not the best for hotspot users who travel.
  7. We seem to be overly optimistic and pretend this is behind us, when it clearly isn't. Not yet.
  8. The first contractor clown left, but was replaced by another the next day, fortunately farther away from me. This time it's a Craftsman, the loudest made. This guy was even worse and his was still running at 10:30. The host had to come bang on his door and tell him to shut it off. I can't believe the thoughtlessness of some campers.
  9. I hope you're considering higher voltage than 12v for this kind of application.
  10. Ok, that's enough generator debate. Good lord, somebody just fired up a contractor special. Now it sounds like a truck stop in here. At least I only have to put up with that for 2 days.
  11. I drove up the 95 into Boulder City NV last week. My goodness.. you should see the solar they're putting in out there. They've had a big array there for many years, but it's expanding to what looks like thousands of acres. I wonder if the water levels of Lake Mead are starting to get very worrisome.
  12. I can usually tell any other inverter genset from a Honda. They always have a kind of a rattle to them. That 'Honda quiet' comes at a price. The 2200s are great, but the 1000s can hardly be heard at all. I recently had 2 Honda 2000's stolen at a campground on the Salton Sea. They came on a windy, noisy night with bolt cutters. Not a pleasant experience, but insurance helps. I'm going to be extra careful from now on, but bringing generators in every night doesn't sound like fun. I think the best theft deterrent is being invisible. I got a new camo 2200 with bluetooth and CO monitor. Very nice unit, and paired with my other one ( I had 3) can run everything - except the a/c AND the toaster at the same time. I may need a 3rd one for that! I'm a BIG power user. Neighbor killed the generator several hours ago so that's nice. There is a NO generator section here but it's smaller and harder for me to fit into.
  13. Yeah, I think I would have had enough too. It really ruins the camping experience.. for everyone around them.
  14. ...as opposed to 24/7. At least he turns it off at 10pm. My neighbor in a dry CG with a fairly new 5er runs a not-Honda small red generator ALL DAY, and he's not home. When he gets home he fires up the Onan for dinner. I'm going to try to work up the courage to ask him why without being a nosy jerk, but my guess is that he has a residential refrigerator. Perhaps I could enlighten him to the magic of an inverter...and solar panels. At least I'm not so close to him that I have to move to get away from the daily racket.
  15. I have no response to your argument, but you must stop calling it a Teslar if you want to be more credible. I know it's not a typo.
  16. You'll likely only find the 2200 watt model Hondas anymore. I have two of them, and wow, I can run a 13.5 air AND another high-wattage device like MW or a toaster at the same time. That's very nice at dinner time in hot weather.
  17. This doesn't appear to be a question about solar.
  18. I think OP is a him.
  19. Ok. Never even given phone storage a thought. I have 50 or 60 apps on my phone.
  20. Don't most forum use apps, not your browser?
  21. Advise is correctly spelled but you want advice. Air con's have a pretty big surge need at startup so I'd get a Honda 2200.
