  1. They're great for folks who choose to afford them and just want something that's plug and play.
  2. Just to start a firestorm, I haven't serviced my wheel bearings in 16 years. I check hub heat at nearly every stop, and my TPMS reports temperature. No problems.
  3. I did, and it looks to me like it's about 99% coverage in the US. Netflix and prime are pretty cheap, and youtube is free - which I watch most of the time. Also, with wifi calling, you may be able to reduce your cell bill. I reduced my data plan substantially. Regardless, hauling around that Slimline dish was getting real old, and I was starting to have a lot of difficulty aiming it. I've been extremely pleased with Starlink and I see many of them in my travels.
  4. Where is Starlink not available? It sure is nice to never have to worry about cell service, or lug around and set up a heavy satellite dish. It doesn't cost much more than Directv, and with the RV version you can suspend service anytime you wish.
  5. 2008 Freightliner M2-106 Sportchassis. I was going to change my own oil and filter, but after looking at where the oil filter is, I don't know. It sits vertically, tucked in pretty tight behind a frame member. Doesn't look like a strap-type OF wrench is going to do the job. Is there some kind of tool that latches on to the bottom of the filter?
  6. I've done that... inadvertently. And then, my chargers would not work. I had to 'prime the pump' by briefly attaching a 48v source (which was a spare Segway scooter charger) to the busbar to get the charger to wake up.
  7. I don't run my 48v 100ah pack down to 20% any more than I'd run my fuel tank that low. About 50v or 50% capacity is where I get nervous.
  8. My Zia, 12yo female, rides very comfortably in the bedroom closet. I've had her in there as long as 10 hours without a problem.
  9. The only time I've found use for chemicals is for odors in hot weather. As mentioned, it's water that does the breaking down.
  10. I'm just happy when posters return and participate. So many times they ask, never to be heard from again.
  11. They're quieter, and in Eco mode use less fuel.
  12. Lots of folks ask about running air with generators, but I've found very few actually do it.
  13. https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/441554/lithium-spec-sheets/RB48V100_Spec_Sheet.pdf?t=1495820355718 I have this one.
  14. Thanks. It's moot now as the buyer doesn't like my price.
  15. I'm close to selling my M2-106 Freightliner with a flat bed. My previous tow was an F450 with a flat bed. I'm considering a standard pickup with a standard bed, but I need some opinions from those who do that. I see it all the time, in fact most 5er pullers are standard bed trucks, but, I guess my concern is the small clearance between the 5er and the top of the bed. Is that a real issue for you? Do you get a lot of contact there, or is it a non-issue?
  16. Saw that.. bummer. What helped me pay for this is dumping Directv.
  17. 2/0 may be a bit undersized for heavy loads.
  18. I don't know, but have you looked at Starlink?
  19. Maybe some do, my Cummins 8.3 does not. If these engines aren't worked hard enough, and don't get up to temperature for long enough, or the regeneration process is not working as it should, they will soot up. "Oftentimes, blocked diesel particulate filters are caused by short journeys at low speeds. Vehicles operating at low speeds on short journeys are unable to meet the requirements for the filter to clean itself."
  20. It would be my guess that it's because Ms Noem is an election denier.
