  1. To complicate you guys discussion; why was the 1918 flu epidemic called the Spanish flu when It originated in the U.S.A.? It was transmitted from hogs to humans. The COVID-19 flu was transmitted from the live animal market in Wuhan China to humans. Leastways, that's my understanding from the news media.
  2. We can flush the toilet during the night and wash hands, and the pump will not cycle on unless it is done twice. Be sure to mount the 2G accumulator tank upside down(air fitting on top) in an RV, otherwise there is no way to drain it for winterizing. My tank came pre-charged with the correct air pressure.
  3. Today my CPA told me taxes must be filed NLT April 15, no change. What did change was; there will be no interest or fees assessed for late payments for 90 days after taxes are due.
  4. I did this morning, phone consultations only for the next ???. To me that means the Dr., based upon what I describe, will prescribe medications and treatment options. I'm not upset, if the Drs. don't protect themselves, who will care for us laypeople when we are sick and injured? Three Drs have died in China already.
  5. That was 7 months ago, Mitchelleynn never did return to acknowledge the replies and advice. The problem description sounds like they plugged their RV into a 3-prong 240V welder/clothes dryer plug and fried everything.
  6. Mine is a 2G steel tank with air bladder, the original got a busted bladder, the replacement was $39. I will not have any RV without one now.
  7. Gives the scammers more time to steal other peoples returns. I never did return home to file taxes. I mailed my paperwork to my accountant, she faxed me the papers to sign, I faxed them back.
  8. We've had a dishwasher in every RV we have owned. DW just looks at her dishwasher and turns it/me on. Seriously, It takes me at most 20 minutes to clean up and wash dishes each morning after breakfast. By the time she is ready to go somewhere I'm done with my daily chore. I like to eat, DW likes to cook, the least I can do is wash dishes and clean up after meals. Once a week we take a break and eat out one day.
  9. Exactly! I estimate I've received a dozen such emails, which IMO are not useless, I consider them re-enforcement of good practice. Yesterday we did our monthly grocery shopping; kept our distance from others and did what you said. That was the first time away from home in 3 weeks, next week is Dr. appts. which concerns me, we have hand sanitizer in all vehicles to use as soon as we re-enter the vehicle.
  10. Yep, I received a letter yesterday(included code) directing me to the website and complete the information required for the census. It also stated if I did not use the online method I would receive a paper form in the mail later, if that was not returned someone would visit our house. That "visit our house" caused me to visualize someone chasing an RV across the nation.
  11. Check new pump pricing at a farm store, like Rural King etc. They have the same pump model numbers at a lower cost than an RV store.
  12. Disruption and fear-mongering is not fun, it that was the intent.
  13. This thread is completely off-topic,and the original thread starter has never returned to answer questions about the intention of this thread.
  14. This toilet paper frenzy really make me laugh. Most of us are old enough to remember life before disposable diapers were invented. Today we even have bidet's to help with the chore.
  15. IMO this makes the original post moot.
  16. What are your intentions for this thread? I assume you own Camping World/Affinity Corp. stock to be concerned. Then again, perhaps PJStough is correct.
  17. Most medical assistance programs address this topic. I am unaware if Escapees has such a program for traveling members.
  18. Along this subject, one of the local city sewer plants allows free RV black tank dumping in a specific area of the plant works.
  19. I alot an hour once a month to check the solution level in my wet-cell batteries. The only thing that makes checking solution level difficult is battery cable placement over cell caps. Since I install my batteries, I position cables so every cap may be removed without unhooking a cable. If there is head-room above wet-cell batteries, an automatic watering system may be installed. This product reduces watering time by at least 50%. Since I'm retired, time consumed is not a concern or I would purchase one.
  20. Wonder it is connected to Weigh to Go LLC being for for sale for the past year?
  21. I agree, especially when they sell new tires and repair tires.
  22. Check the thermal fuse for continuity. This is covered in the installation/service manual.
  23. Not if you do it right! I covered our 5er with a yellow plastic tarp from Harbor Freight($39.95) for 6 months of a year. Never found any paint damage or wear marks on the 5er. I did have to replace the tarp after 4 years, due to sun rot.
