  1. I'm looking for a GP Doctor as a winter Texan. I was asked to fill out an application form which I did. The result I was rejected, for what ever reason. I had never heard of this process. That Doctor's group has two individuals accepting new applicants and basically I'm looking for a referral. That was the suggestion of Urgent Care. Has anyone else had this occurrence and when did it start. Looks like I will have ti visit the ER if can't find get an appt somewhere tomorrow Clay Legal Resident of Texas but summer elsewhere
  2. I didn't get a chance to catch this fellow again and he pulled out this morning. Clay
  3. This Class C is parked at the Old River Road RV Resort Kerrville TX. The vehicle drew a lot attention at yesterdays coffee. Clay with with just a puppy Freightliner M2-106
  4. Like Kristin said, they in a country storage, like I also continue to do in the summer and fall for periods of time. I doubt my batteries would run 90 feet of lights 24/7 for an extended time. Clay
  5. Yes your thinking and I wondering who would receive the traffic tickets for the self driving vehicle. It wouldn't be a vehicle in tow but maybe the lead car of a caravan? Bored in AZ, the AU ladies Basketball in Tucson has some exciting Games going on. It is a little difference than men playing (not as much pushing) but they are better looking. Clay in Texas
  6. I assume you still have the Fifth Wheel. and I'm assuming you are referring to Mice and Raccoons. Do slides seal tightly, a method is close all the window covering on a bright day. Then from the inside look for day light. Resolve the light entering if that is the case. Next crawl under the RV with a can of expanding foam and fill every hole (if the hole are to big and the rodents can pull the filling out use steel wool and window screen material} Last get D-Con bait cubes, I use about 6, 2 each level Good luck Clay
  7. Glenn you not the only one in this shape. My typing skilled are lousy and SLOWWWW. I start to type something and before I complete a word or so I have changed my through process. Given I had phonics in the fifth grade from my worse teacher I still can't spell. But I can read other people writing and never realize anything is misspelled. So Glenn I didn't realize you made lots of errors. My eye specialist told me 2 years ago, 3-5 years on my cataract surgery. Last year, he said at least two more years, Month another appointment. Night driving on a divided highway no problem but about one left curve on a two lane highway can do me in with heavy on coming traffic. For prism in your eye glasses I have had that for 73 years and never saw double until recently and I wondered why, cataracts? Save your eyes, stay out of bright sunlight. Clay

    Tires

It is my understanding that each DRV unit is taken to MorRyde for alignment. I returned to MorRyde for an alignment in 2017 and 4 or 5 unpainted DRV's were setting in the parking lot. Clay 2016 DRV MS 38PS3
  9. I was told at a rally by a MFG Rep that there was only one permissible way to store the water softer in frozen conditions . The instructions I site-ing from memory as the I'm remote from the unit and the written instructions, but expect to be returning the softer to service about Jan 1. Drain the unit ( or do you back flush first) via the outlet and store the softer on its side. Returning the unit requires a back flush and regenerate. I don't recall anything about adding any bleach but I will add some some on regen. Clay Water softer owner one year and WS stored several days in temperatures below 20 degrees
  10. Question on your tire pressures. Are dropping the do to temperature or ?? I started my trip with a 120 psig with a temperature in the mid twenties and arriving in Texas having pressures of close to 125 psig ( within the rule of 1 PSIG change per 10 degrees ambient change) I have completed my run south without any emergencies. But I put the slides out before running my hand over the tires to see if I have any addition raised thread. I going to wait till next year to do my tire shopping. Lots of sales people you tell you stories. I haven't heard of the Hercules 17.5 inch tires and I was told that Cooper has a good USA made tire but I haven't confirmed. On the GY tires, I haven't talked to Discount Tire but others I have talked to say that is a Commercial Tire and not available to me. Clay
  11. I would want the auto switch over option to keep the little lady happy especially when preparing my meal. If you elect to still swap over yourself just leave the full tank valve closed. The 2AM tank change then just requires opening a valve and not a noisy experience for your neighbors . Clay
  12. Yesterday I had an unexpected experience. I'm in East Memphis a short distance my campground. I was slowing to exit I-240 and the braking didn't feel right, Tried the brakes again and realized no trailer brakes. ( I had in the past tested the truck without the trailer brakes and knew I still had control but longer stopping distance). I still had trailer lights. That is when I realized the brake controller had dropped down allowing me to step on it when applying my foot to throttle. A small bolt has loosened allowing the controller to drop. Just glad I didn't have to make a panic stop on the rain slick highway. (of course a built in brake controller may have prevented this failure but my previous TV needed all braking to stay in control) On more vote for the Feightliner M2-106 or larger truck as stopping is more important than pulling. Clay
  13. X2 People say the Sailun tires are Great but also they are China built. Maybe I'm a bit practical in the point that there are the Glodal Protest over pollution and Glodal warming. My point lets buy from the cleanest manufacture, avoid dirty old China. Less world wide pollution. 328 rough Illinois miles without a blown out but will inspect in day light. Missouri highways and bridges are good. But for Illinois benefit, the miles of broken concrete on the left side the lane has been patched and rough. Clay
  14. Thanks for the input as its helps in bargaining. I will be driving south the next 10 days with Thanksgiving and birthdays on the way, so with my fingers crossed and an eye on the TPMS. Happy Thanksgiving Clay
  15. My DRV was picked up up at the factory 4 years ago by the dealer and 3 weeks later I was the owner with now about 20,000 miles. All the discussion in the belt separation of the G114 H rated tires, I didn't expect I would have a failure still 5-6 years old. Surprise I have the right front start it already starting failure well over 1/2 the rotation. I will put the spare on tomorrow, Has anyone received any adjustment from Good Year for these earlier potential failures . Date Code 1815 Size 215/75 R 17.5 Clay
  16. On Kirk's list, I was told the most important reason for all registered vehicles to have an inspection is # 18 Vin Number versus stolen vehicles. When in the Livingston area I use Soda Auto Repair for inspections. Maybe 7 miles east of Livingston @ 6709 US Highway 190 East Clay
  17. The question WHERE ARE YOU FROM? I use multi answers. This morning I left ___________, I'm from Texas and my DW is from Illinois (she hates that response as its makes wonder if we're married), Summer in Midwest, Winter in Texas and a favorite from Hank Snow "I've Been Everywhere " Clay at my wife's small place on NW Illinois with over 5 inches of white hiding the green grass.
  18. You didn't state didn't state whether had a single wheel or dually rear axle. Or 6 or 8 feet bed length. It good to see you have some dealers that are conservative. Its seem a lot dealers will yes you can pull that. But can you stop it?? Watch the carrying capacity of both the truck and the RV. Some RV's are closely engineered for weekend campers with little capacity to full-time. If you have Dually pickup, you should be able find something to need your needs but don't get in a hurry. Clay 2016 DRV MS 38PS3 with a Class 5 Tow Vehicle

  20. The system sucks. You a find a provider you like, you talk to and understand what they say, has an accounting dept that don't demand more payments or they will drop service, in the end refund your demanded over payment back. Then before you know it, your going to dealing the horrible WELLCARE. That is part of Part D problems Part B has its own set problems. Remember Medicare setup the system for providers. I start having problem with my CPAP machine. I notified my provider which said there a back log but I didn't have immediate need, just have the machine after I see the doctor the following month. The CPAP failed big time before the month. I tried to buy a machine. no way. it took three days to gather all the 7 + years of records before I received a machine. Then provider couldn't be paid for the machine, finally 8 months later the EOB's come showing they are being paid monthly as a rental. OVERHEAD, OVERHEAD, OVERHEAD and not small business friendly. For paper work Part D doesn't care what name is and likes something that matches your ID. Part B supplies must have the name exactly as Red, White & Blue Medicare card. But Medicare has a short character count for your name. My wife uses her previous surname and present surname with only her first initial. Petty problem but the people standing in line at pharmacy doesn't like it. Doctor's order blood test off a menu but I haven't had this explained to me but three different doctors order lab test but none get any of the three items that supposedly landed a person in the hospital. So another trip to ER and hospital stay. Medicare cost saving. No I will stop here as it is boring to you so can have time to look for Part D providers. I use Humana for Parts A&B Plan G Clay Why can't we back up about 60 years and clean out some overhead
  21. Was on the Sunday night ABC National news last night. Maybe a minutes worth of coverage. Kind of what was already reported here So sad. Clay
  22. It has been over a year since I have been in El Paso but my rule, in big cities, is avoid peak rush hours. Then find a 18 wheeler and follow the traillights. Keep back 100 yards or insight so if the truck changes lanes you can maneuver. In Illinois you do that to dodge pot holes. Do know your route just in case the truck is not part the through traffic or take the alternate described above. Clay
  23. I don't have a Cougar so I don't know your winter rating but some common practices are; When you arrive at your location put some water in your fresh water tank and then disconnect your outside hose when the outside temperatures are below freezing. Since many pipes are run through the basement area, rely of your furnace for primary heat as a supplement electric heat would cause the furnace to run less thus a cooler basement area. Clay DRV MS 38PS3
  24. My DW makes a GREAT sandwich spread similar to my mother. You start with the Baloney and built taste from there Buy a chunk of Beef Baloney at the deli and a jar of Dill Pickles Grind it up the Baloney and then Grind the Pickles to taste (maybe up to one cup per pound Baloney. (My DW uses her mother's 1920 style hand grinder to give the mothers taste. That is my story and I'm sticking to it ) Add Miracle Whip to bind ingredients Enjoy on Bread or Crackers Clay, Second top choice for a good Baloney sandwich is fry or grill until blackened a bit, just like you would do SPAM
  25. Impressive. It is quoted in the separate links 100 Mw and 37.5 Mw of power. How much energy is being stored. That is how many Mega Watt - Hours is stored or should I say how many Amp - Hours since it a battery. But my real interest is how much AC power can be returned to the the electrical system for peaking or regulation. Clay.
