  1. here in the USA, if you need a mri all major and most minor city's have a number of them in hospitals and clinics spread around. and pending the need at the time, can get in right now. cost? up to your insurance plan. other than that just a "co-pay" no cash needed.
  2. might find any make radio, in 2m and 440 to be of better usage. new portable about the same price point.
  3. any cooling system will love distilled water. not needed in a gaser motor, a requirement in a diesel. in my motorcycles that's all i run. and something called water wet-er. as to the s&b water. i will not use it in any motor, not even to flush with. as it is very hard water. aka lots of dissolved solids.
  4. guess i was very lucky with my 2001 sunnybrook 5er. narie a problem in all these years (yes bought new). but the lack of quality in the newer units is appalling. and if they are cranking them out faster. then i say do not buy any rv built around the year 2020, as they just might be junk. at times i have thought about doing a gut and rebuild on a larger unit then mine. (only a 25 ft). if not to just build better, but to get a floor plan I like. one item is full access to the reefer not blocked by a island while all slides are in. as well as access to a place to sit and relax, eat a lunch/snack, etc. and i bet i could do this for less then buying a new rv. but for now i have no place to do such a rebuild. sloping driveway is not good. within feet of the street, as things tend to walk away.
  5. i would love to adopt a couple more rotts. i raised two of them from young pups. my molly died at 12-1/2 years age, loving to the end. just right now the s&b yard is not “safe” for a dog. and work hrs are for ().
  6. sure a queen is good ( i am single) a king for couples. but i would like to try a double? maybe a twin? or a “special” just s bit wider than a twin, with a longer foot print. in my queen i only really use a small area. but i am sure if i went smaller i would not have enough room. but if i can afford a new rv in about six years time. it will be built for a king. as the slides are made to fit a king, but they put in shelving. nightstands to fit the queen. then i will dump the economy mattress. and buy a quality double. for the comfort, foot space, and what little weight savings come with a smaller mattress. but if i find. or more like if she finds me😊
  7. oops. last two postings i thought went as a privet message. but as going to this years (2021) escapade. i hope to make it. just get to use a less truck. if i can fix it up to tow and still have money for fuel and food. + reg.
  8. sent you a reply. are you interested? other than the motor nothing wrong. i just do not have time or money to work on it.
  9. the polio was forced on every kid. had no say so. as to a iron lung. with my breathing problems now. i would most likely just be in the less than 1% who would die. and my thing is not in taking the vaccine. but cause it has never been tested. let alone proven to “cure you”. what are the long term side effects?
  10. 6.0 diesel. 2006. i am in san andreas. i did the bullet proofing. but acquired a oil leak one night. towed home next day.
  11. i have thought about maxing out my little dodge 1500. i have pulled my rv with another dodge1500. but it had a smaller motor. just made the grade up blue canyon. ( east bound donner pass). would co$t to set it up to tow. tires ( can not use the ones off the ford). air bags. sway bars. much better shocks.
  12. some decades back when i drove between the sf bay area and the redlands area, after crossing in to the Mojave (east bound on hwy 58) and all the way till the sun just started to lighten up the eastern sky ( heading south on 395 to the pass) i could get this station out of east texas. but that was 30 years back.
  13. wish i could go. but need a new truck. (catastrophic motor problem). anybody want to buy a 2006 F250, quad cab sb. cheap? just needs a motor. even has good tires.
  14. out of the way area. if you want for anything including health care. it is a trip to fresno. as merced is shut down. madera is the same. nothing to the south of you on 49. and much less to the north on 49. (unless you ride sports bikes). if you can afford Yosemite, and the (normal times) crowds. but if open there is a great burger joint almost across the hwy from burger king.(if they are still even there?) bk's been having problems of late. it is beautiful country in the early spring all green and the flowers. sad no access to the eastern side after the first snow. have fun in ca.
  15. i am stuck in a fixed place for the next year or four. and by the time they catch me and force this in me. as of now (UN tested juice) the coved 19 bug will be long forgotten.
  16. at the price point of a new truck it does sound good... on paper. but. in real life maybe not. how far do you need to move? how many times a year to move? emergency move? yes cost of new. + new york style insurance rates.
  17. this is year (2020) three of below normal rain/snow totals. so forget the roses. i just hope we have enough drinking water to get us through to the winter of 2021
  18. just read your posting on this Alzheimer's . my mom suffers from loss of memory so this might be of some help there.

at this time she gets lost while driving to the store, and forgets lots of things. ( way to many and way to often).

might have to take her dl away from her.

  19. first problem . need a new exhaust manifold gasket. looked online but there are a number of them they all look the same, but different part numbers. ( are the photos of the exact part number? or just a place holder photo?). anyone out there. know the differences. and correct applications.
  20. yes it is quiet. just this enclosure is a way to mostly protect it from the weather. and a bit less sound (mostly directional) so as to not advertise i have one. will be bolted down to a concreat slab, and carry handles removed. sorry i could not get a photo to post up. but this “dog house” can hold two eu3000 in it. and it is anything but air tight to start with. looks more like a short garbage can box that a “standard “ dog house. i do not believe over heating will be a problem. will install a temp probe to check on this. exhaust is also not a problem. just need a flex pipe coupling. water heater / stove vent coupling ( to help keep the worst of the heat off the wood) to pass through the side of the box, and a outside stack to direct it up and away. i read a deal were using a couple lengths of 3 in plastic piping. to direct the exhaust up and away. cools it, redirects sound, gets the bad stuff away from any doors/windows, etc. kinda a test bed if nothing else.
  21. i never said anything bad about her passing. it does not matter if one liked her or not. the loss of a human life is bad. but it is part of just living. i said nothing political. just asked for a link to her public statement on this subject. i am not so good at finding some things on line and this is one of them.
  22. question: to 2gypsies. please post up the news report of her stating this last “request”. aka: video with audio. as i do not believe she would be thinking of this on her last day alive. far more important Family matters at that time. if she was even aware of what was going on around her at that time. not trying to start a argument, just anyones job is of no importance to them when they are in a death bed. and seeing as this revelation was stated a day after she died. not the day-week-month before.
  23. will i am turning a dog house into a use/storage box for my honda eu 3000. and just need to know how big of a filter ( think home air filter) is needed to keep fresh air going to the motor. i can fit a 12X 20 inch filter in the door. or just run no filter and a fan on one end, and use the dog door as the exhaust or use the door for both. cold air in hot air out. or would just nat venting do the job? as there is plenty of leakage, and the roof is hinged. would run with the “lid” closed. but there is a good gap all around it. sorry i tried to get a photo, but could not post it.
