my intent is to replace, not relube. next week i will remove one, so i can get the correct replacement units. and might as well service ( replace parts as needed) the brakes while in there. one shoe bad/worn, all get replaced.

sounds like i am behind schedule to do my wheel bearings... but they are "never lube"?. (fiver new in june 2001). but then a number of years it went nowhere. do to lack of any money. i had to coast downhills to save on the cost of fuel. turn motors off at red (long ones that is) lights long trip planed next spring. so it would be best to change them out this winter. and no coasting with a trailer in tow. heck i even have the "factory" spare tire, it has never ever even been mounted to a hub, let alone rolled. still has the factory injection tits on it. but should dump it, if for nothing other than age. but it is a good thing i never used my spare, the ones on the ground ( no not factory) never had a flat there, except when i took it out of storage (dry rot). normally i spend more on maintenance, than repairs. saves trouble.

seeing as they included a prepaid envelope, i will send there junk back to them with "void" written with a felt marker. leaves a great 1/4 inch line where it touches paper.

i read in a lot of posting about great fishing spots. i am not much of a fisherman, so many places i know are now stocked as they were fished out decades back. (stocked fish does not taste very good to me). but on to the question. how does one deal with getting a "out of state permit" for only a day-week, etc. here in cal, a day/week permit, costs half of a full years permit, and then the stamps. i can not see dumping $100.usd for a couple days worth of legal fishing. but then after all is said and done, around here one needs to pay again, just to access a public lake (but controlled by power and water company's based 100's of miles away). to go fishing. or must trespass to get to a river.

from what you say, you need at a min, 4 deep cycl 6 volt batt. or if you got the cash install at least 4 better 6 of the new style batts they are 12 volt units but can handle a deeper bleed off then any lead acid batt can. also install as much solar as your roof can hold (you will never get the full charge rating from them). get a honda eu3000, mount it hard to your rv. and install a remote start to it. but do all this the right way, and it will be worry free, and your beer will be the coldest in town. but then i boondock. hooked up in a park, can forget the solar and gen. but be ready for a black out in your rv.

even what looks like a clean and safe place. some low life/home based auto, and auto body shops bring in there used oil and solvent stained and soaked items and run them in consumer based washers. of which is ageist many laws in many city's, towns, county's, etc.

well i have now started to get junk in the snail mail from aarp. (i turn 60 this month). i have only heard aarp is just a money suck hole, i personally do not know anybody who wants anything to do with them. does any here have any good to say about them? have they ever paid off on any of there promises? ever get your moneys worth from them? or just add to the trash pile of dead trees. i am trying to keep a open mind here, so any info is good.

go with the 26 footer. i have a little 25 footer. ( table slide) have lived in it. and it will get tight. and i live alone. with two -more- of you there will be no room to move around in a smaller unit. and under 30 foot fiver can in many places a same size bumper pull can not.

they still do. there is a small "river" crossing the boarder flowing north from mexico into the USA, that is very highly polluted and it dumps into the salton evaporation pond. (no outlet so the toxins get to stay there). i say avoid this area if at all possible. want to stay there, bring in everything including lots of water, and never buy from any source within 100 miles of the place. a generation back it was the place to be. but not now.

as a life time resident of ca (am 60 now) i refuse to go to some of the big city's and areas. the fools under the dome. have made the laws to promote bums and thief's. and made it a crime to defend yourself from them. now even sac county sheriff has to tie the hands of the police when it comes to how to handle these walking dead. but yes there are great places to see, it would take more than one life time to see everything. and most are away from any city. but ca is money hungry, so they will call you a resident if you are known to be here over X number of days. the tax code reads working, or living here X number of days. so they can get even a "long term" tourist, if they want.

ca takes your photos in varied places. pass by one a couple too many times in a month. the state says you belong to ca, and must now pay a fine, taxes, and back taxes. as well as register (as in taxes, and fines) all of your motor coaches and trailers.

no "estate" to worry about here. both mom and i are broke. she has nothing of any real value. a ten year old ford focus has no resale value. guess i could run it till it dies, then just leave on the side of the rd. (kept in her name after she dies), as that way the tow company, dmv, state, etc goes after her not me. till then dmv, and insurance company's just happy the checks get there in time, and do not bounce.

never hurts to know more. even found out about a product call table in a book. or something like that but the legs/base fold up in what looks like a book. think origami.

only thing of any value my mom owns is a cheap car. apt full of clutter junk. i am her only heir. so i know what she has. and just a couple things i would keep. the rest given to others in the building where she lives. (i have no use for them). announce the free stuff, and they would come crawling out of the woodwork to get something. yes we have talked about a care home, it will happen in a short number of years. she knows this and is about ready. just not this year.

already have bought for this, both table and chair are tripods in design. small light easy to pack. table top is cloth, (with built in cup holder). so no real heat usage there. but add in a small plywood top and good to go. but for the bike i try to go sparse, as the stuff/weight adds up fast. water takes up the bulk of carry weight. one bike holds six gallons of fuel, so good to go there. the other seven gallons. both get a good 50 mpg each. but if needed it is easy to add in a spare fuel carry.

money is the problem right now. she gets medical, has refused some of the so called "help". but i believe the apt management calls this help "income". and her government subsidized apt management says she has too much income. wants to double her rent.

you must pull a trailer to have a cot along for the ride. for me motorbike camping = min on everything. including weight. now if i could just find a way to dump this unwanted 60 pounds, it would help much more than fuel millage. my moto tent can even be set up on the bike. to grab a short nights sleep. very light weight sleeping bag. but yes a self inflating mattress. i even searched high and low for light weight stool and table. cooking is done at the fire ring. or set up the tiny stove on a bolder, (no bending over). and yes when i could ride a pedal bike i was a weight weeny. i still have my mt bike a full sprung (and not a judy in sight) under 20 pounds.

i still have a tent for use on motorbike trip. heck even the jeep has a tent i can stand up in. (bought the smallest one i could stand up in.. back problems here). but my knees are saying stop this crawling around stuff.

i try to do things with her, but it is getting harder, lack of money, and she just falls asleep during any trip. and complains big time of pain just sitting in the truck. but my fear is not her death, but her memory. i fear one day she just will not know me or anyone any longer. but for now she just keeps falling down. she lives in a "independent" apt right now. (carehome soon?), but due to there gouging might have to move her into my little house. where she would be alone, up to 24 hrs a day. (my work hrs are loong).

i do not know how much longer she will be alive. but i do believe she will be around longer than she can do much of anything. so yes this year. maybe one or two after it will be a nevermore then. my dad died do to ms a decade back. almost all the rest of the family is gone. so i try to take care of my mom.

yes i was planing on being there friday afternoon. but you say the gates are open in the am, so will be there earlier. as to staying a extra day? would like to go see Yellowstone before it blow up and kills us all (said tung in cheek). but then that says i must take three weeks off work. (if i have the same work days as now, i work weekends) not sure if i can afford that long of a trip, or if worse yet, my mom could handle that much away from her bed and Dr's. a 25 foot fiver has no privacy. or much room to stretch out in. and she does not like the ride of a 3/4 ton truck. the trip is going to be a doozy no matter the outcome.
