  1. Can't tell on my phone whether it's a PM, or email link, but on his profile page there is a contact link.
  2. Get a hold of Mike McCorriston, user name Barncats. I think he's on FB more than the forum, but he had his KW registered MoHo there, before they moved West.
  3. He's asking about fleet truck, because a lot of them had a Big Brother box installed. It will use the data bus for it's information, and removal can be haphazard sometimes. Any wires left exposed, that can ground out, & tied to the data highway should be removed.
  4. Google, also known as Sintered Brass. Very common on high pressure fuel systems, like diesel burners.
  5. Backing in tight, like with a fork-lift, will also cause this. More than 1 unit at a dealer, with similar symptoms, sounds more like spring bind.
  6. Shared photo from 10:50 AM post showed up, non-shared photo didn't. None of previous posts showed.Signed into Google account, using Chrome. Google royally screwed the ease of photo sharing they used to have.
  7. Settled in for Snowbird season in Apache Junction, keeping an eye on Jim and Cathy's rig. All looks good, so far. Sooner or later, Vern will break free of the snow bank.
  8. Good news, everyone! Trailer is back on even footings, and we have another entry for the "Good Guys Shop". LaVelle Equipment Repair had us in, and out in 1 looong day of lifting, prying, and welding. I got to play along, as a helper. Dirty shop, gruff and grizzled workers, good work, good prices. We'll be on the road this Am, minor delays.
  9. Delay of game. Pulled into Butte, MT last night, and found bent spring hangers. Sun is coming up, will see how bad the damage is then. I see a welder in my future.
  10. Fall migration time. Leaving Grande Prairie today, and with family check-ins, will probably cross into Montana Tuesday AM.
  11. Along the lines of Rickeieio's comment: Straight road, clear skys. Story.
  12. If I was looking at doing this, I'd start with a daycab, dress out the box with a folding bunk to get the RV tags, then have a dual purpose box, and a reasonable length truck.
  13. We typically overnight near one, while making miles, but we try to leave the actual lot spaces to the professional drivers. It's usually quieter a bit further out, the exercise makes the morning coffee taste that much better, and gives the dog more room for business.
  14. Supposed to be dry on the Rack & Pinion, prevents road grime from sticking. Lube the bearings (or bushings) the rod goes through.
  15. More connections means more fun when the lights don't work. There is a bit of an increase in room, but from what I've seen, the Jakalopee isn't overly small for the wire fill.
  16. House machines all have the same thing in their manuals. The one nobody ever reads. How many get moved every weekend, with the bolt kit installed?
  17. For any and all Alaska-bound travellers, we're back in Grande Prairie for the summer. If you need a hand with anything, from camping recommendations, service help, or just coffee, please get in touch.
  18. Bigger issue than the simple wiring between the t-stat and the devices, is the connectivity issues of devices like nest. Most of their optional functionality goes out the window without an internet connection. If you plan to have a mobile hotspot, always powered and providing connection to the t-stat, then they function much as advertised. If not, then no, they won't perform as advertised.
  19. In 100 Mile House, BC, wiggling wires inside the local OSB mill. Had a refreshing glass of spring water with forum members BluByYou, Greg and Lynn.
  20. As Vern said, there shouldn't be full 12v applied. except by the emergency switch. The controller limits voltage out, to limit loop current. You posted, above, that loop current was 2.4 amps, but at what voltage? I'm just trying tp wrap my head around what your hands are doing. For Vern, (and the rest): Hayes manual. Regardless of a pendulum or not, full output should be achievable with a manual application. EDIT to add: Don't see mention of a pendulum in the link I provided.
  21. With the info you've given, I can offer no input. What was the current readings, individually on each brake feed, and collectively on the main trunk line of the trailer?
  22. It's simply a way to move heat from the tubing to the air. Don't worry about the missing Al, as much as where did the missing material go?
