Never say never, but it seems to be about a week too early for us. We usually work the first week of Oct, then visiting with family in the way south eats more time, to the point we usually cross into the US around the 3rd week of Oct.

Totally do-able, assuming smaller groups. We're the busiest Jun to August, but early reservations should handle that. Right now, we're looking at the last week of May, after the long weekend. That's the unofficial start of camping season in Canada, and we're typically full. We will be officially taking reservations beginning May 1st, via the website: http://Rotarycampground.com

Bumping this back up, thanks to Jim (of Jim and Wilma fame) for getting me off my butt. Right now, the tentative time frame is looking like either May 21-25, or 27th, on.The long weekend will be the 18th-20th, but if demand warrants, we could have it that weekend too. We'd just need to get reservations made earlier. We have about 12 sites with 50 amp power/water that will handle a typical rig, and probably 5 30 amp power/water/sewer sites. I'm not sure yet, if there will be a full blown agenda, or more of an informal gathering. Let me know what the preferences are. I have talked to a mobile mechanic, who is willing to help any who need it. This time of year is good, due to a possibility of a late "Break-up". This is when the frost is coming out of the ground, and road bans go into effect for a while. Load capacity shrinks, so sitting becomes de-rigeur. Let me know what you guys are thinking. On Thursdays, the local burger chain has a free car show, as I've posted before. A local service group (Rotary) runs a free tour Tues-Thurs, that gives a good history of the area. Rita is thinking of a small painting project, for anyone interested. Any other wants, or needs, let us know. I don't really know what I'm doing, but I can muddle my way through.

Bringing this back up. Right now, the middle of May looks like the best bet, before Victoria Day long weekend. I've talked to a couple guys, and have tentative approval to stop by a couple trucking company yards. One specializes in heavy haul, off road work, and has some huge rigs. The other is a frac company, and has trailers like Jack talks of building. Their new control vans even have slides now. May is too early for fruit or vegetable harvest, but the local Farmers Market will be in operation, with homemade treats, and handicrafts. Give us ideas for your interests, we'll do our best to find something to look at.

Wondering if there's any interest in a North Rally, in 2019? Sometime between May 1 & September 30. The location would be based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Depending on the time of season, and toad vehicles, a trip to grizzly country is possible. Tech seminars might be possible, and would be tuned towards demand. Golf is available to all skill levels. Farm tours might be possible, again depending on demand. Let me know if there's any interest from the Alaska bound, or returning crowd.
  8. He's reporting code 38. Overload. Sounds like a problem with the wiring between the generator breaker and the transfer switch.
  9. Parks with cable supplied are out there, but it's not overly common. More common in the snowbird areas, than north.
  10. Dohhh! Forgot to update the thread. We're back in Grande Prairie, working our summer job, at the Rotary Campground . Stop in, if you're in the neighborhood.
  11. Eric, that sounds like a thermal fuse. It trips on high temperature, like when the flame backfires outside the chimney.
  12. Can't tell on my phone whether it's a PM, or email link, but on his profile page there is a contact link.
  13. Get a hold of Mike McCorriston, user name Barncats. I think he's on FB more than the forum, but he had his KW registered MoHo there, before they moved West.
  14. He's asking about fleet truck, because a lot of them had a Big Brother box installed. It will use the data bus for it's information, and removal can be haphazard sometimes. Any wires left exposed, that can ground out, & tied to the data highway should be removed.
  15. Google, also known as Sintered Brass. Very common on high pressure fuel systems, like diesel burners.
  16. Backing in tight, like with a fork-lift, will also cause this. More than 1 unit at a dealer, with similar symptoms, sounds more like spring bind.
  17. Shared photo from 10:50 AM post showed up, non-shared photo didn't. None of previous posts showed.Signed into Google account, using Chrome. Google royally screwed the ease of photo sharing they used to have.
  18. Settled in for Snowbird season in Apache Junction, keeping an eye on Jim and Cathy's rig. All looks good, so far. Sooner or later, Vern will break free of the snow bank.
  19. Good news, everyone! Trailer is back on even footings, and we have another entry for the "Good Guys Shop". LaVelle Equipment Repair had us in, and out in 1 looong day of lifting, prying, and welding. I got to play along, as a helper. Dirty shop, gruff and grizzled workers, good work, good prices. We'll be on the road this Am, minor delays.
  20. Delay of game. Pulled into Butte, MT last night, and found bent spring hangers. Sun is coming up, will see how bad the damage is then. I see a welder in my future.
  21. Fall migration time. Leaving Grande Prairie today, and with family check-ins, will probably cross into Montana Tuesday AM.
  22. Along the lines of Rickeieio's comment: Straight road, clear skys. Story.
  23. If I was looking at doing this, I'd start with a daycab, dress out the box with a folding bunk to get the RV tags, then have a dual purpose box, and a reasonable length truck.
  24. We typically overnight near one, while making miles, but we try to leave the actual lot spaces to the professional drivers. It's usually quieter a bit further out, the exercise makes the morning coffee taste that much better, and gives the dog more room for business.
