mr. cob
Howdy All, Just wanted to drop a short note to thank the folks who bumped my for sale ad and who made positive comments concerning my Freightliner. This afternoon "Semi-Sane" headed for its new home in North Dakota, thank you Kat and Gene, for buying my truck, I hope it serves you folks as well and faithfully as it has me over the last nearly five years. mr. cob
Howdy All, I know it’s dumb but I do get attached to machines, I always have. Selling the Freightliner was a good thing now I have a lot more room to park and the money from the sale drastically cuts the cost of adding the Peterbilt to the family so it’s a good thing. Still looking outside this morning and not seeing ole Semi-Sane, left me feeling a bit hollow. However, I just got a text telling me all the new LED chicken lights have arrived to replace all the old burnt out and broken regular lights on the Peterbilt so life goes on and it is GOOD. Howdy Jim, Kat, really didn't say where they are from, all I know it is someplace in North Dakota very close to the South Dakota border. The new LED replacements for all the old style chicken light bulbs arrived today, I made a deal with a guy who has a wheel polishing machine to do the wheels, while on our trip I stopped a BIG chrome shop while in Missouri and picked up some goodies so yes the Pete, will get shinier, I really have to get off my arse and do some touch up to the paint in a few places. When I am in the southwest this coming fall-winter I'll find someone to polish up the battery and tool boxes, probably the air tanks that sit on top of those boxes too. I knew going into buying the Pete, that it would become a job but so far anyway it is a labor of lust so I just deal with it. Donna, just smiles and shakes her head she has had over 30 years to become accustomed to my love affairs with machines.
