If there are any other members from our class that are based in the Central Florida area, please give us a shout....maybe we can do some mini camp outs together!

Hi Bendana! We are in North Florida but are planning a trip to Jetty Park at Port Canaveral in February, come join us! Our dates are February 23-28, departing on Friday. Would love to meet another "class member":). We are trying to get a spot in the #'s 342-358 range. We have never camped here, so if you have any advice, would love for you to share..

Happy New Year. You all know what that means, we are all going Fulltime next year. We won't go until late 2014, but still next year.

Smack, I know what you mean!! I have been so excited for it to be 2013, DH and I were just discussing that this time next year, we will be making the BIG decisions eventhough we won't leave till late 2014: will we work, where will we go first, what is our schedule, will we have a schedule, etc, etc. So much to think about. Hopefully we will have sold the house or be much closer to it and be choosing our permanent mobile home LOL.:D

Thats GREAT Ellen! our first Class of 2014 get together, can't wait!! So glad you guys can make it. FYI, I requested the site we have, so if you want a specific site you can always ask. It just looked to me from the campsite map and Googe earth that the sites in that area were a little more private than some others.

Me and wifey went through some stuff over the weekend. Threw a few things away and made a Goodwill pile. Sure is hard getting rid of this crap, who knows, someday I may need the plastic beer mug that we got on our Carnival Cruise 13 years ago that has been sitting in the cabinet un touched since the cruise, lol. I got to keep getting rid of stuff, the next 20 months are going to zoom by, even though it does not feel like it today.

We are also going to stay busy taking trips. Our Death Valley trip was awesome. We are going to Solvang, Ca for Valentines. Staying at Flying Flags in Buellton, kinda expensive, but I hear it is nice.

Have a good week everyone.

Class of 14, here we come! We attended the Escapade in September where we got answers to many questions. We have the truck and after much looking, have just ordered our toy hauler, a Fuzion 375.

We are working now to ready the house for sale this spring / summer. Once sold, we will get to know the RV until retirement next April 1.

The clock is ticking...

We're planning to join the class of '14. My plan is to retire early around May of 2014, that gives us 15 months to unload stuff and time to make a few runs this summer in our "new to us" class A RV. Will work out the domicile, mail, finances etc in the next year or so.

We are staying at Flying Flags Rv Resort in Beullton, CA. Very nice RV park, clean, nice big site and staff was very nice. We are going to Solvang today, nice little tourist town. Tomorrow we are going to do some wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley. It was 71 degrees yesterday and today is suppose to be 76 degrees.

We are trying to take at least 1 trip per month so our next 20 months will fly by.

We may well be in the Class of 2014, too. I had planned to retire at the end of the 2014-15 school year, but decided to move it up to this year. The coach has been purchased, although it isn't here yet (maybe later this week), but the house is FAR from ready to sell.

Well, I might not be able to join the class of 2014...I don't think I can't hold out until then. I'm thinking this fall I'll pull the plug at work and hit it. I'm eligible for early retirement in two months but I need to get things in order. Six months should be time enough to make it happen.

I'm happy for you Koop, we would love to do the same, gotta wait it out though. Biggest problem for us right now is the house is not moving at all. Course we still have it FSBO and need to change that. However, I have thought about trying it on the MLS myself, found a site that offers it for $177 which seems like a deal to me, last time I checked it was way over that, but there are a couple of online sites doing the same. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and how it worked out. Also, if your house is up for sale, how's it going?

Good luck with the sale. I'm assuming I can sell mine this summer, I don't think we'll have much of a problem though.

I've been taking small trips to the Goodwill. Also organizing tools, nuts, bolts, screws, etc for our new life style. Part of the fun for me is trying to get our Moho set up to live in. All is going well so far. Wife is getting nervous, I guess I am too a little. Brother in law wants to buy our house, we will talk about it more later. But if not, we will put on the market next February or march.

Life is good, thank God.

Well, after meeting with the Benefits Specialist at HR and reviewing my options...we're moving up to the class of 2013 as I'll be retiring late summer. I won't make an official announcement at work until May but Donna and I have decided to go for it. We have much to do in the next 4 or 5 months. I've already started to get rid of "stuff". Have guns and ammo for sale (that's a hot market right now), need to move motorcycles, equipment, guitars and amps...whew, it's almost overwhelming.

I guess I should be posting in the Class of 2013.
