Charles
It appears we are going to lose use of our winter seasonal site in Punta Gorda, FL and need to start plan “B”. If anyone should have reliable information on sites from November to April of 2023 it would be appreciated to hear of them. We are not committed to Florida and would entertain Texas, New Mexico, or Arizona the further south the better. Thanks All and have a great day. Kirk W
You might want to consider going somewhere outside of Florida this winter with all of the damage there, sites could be very difficult to find. Dapperdan
Good luck, it’s “difficult” finding spots under normal conditions even in AZ! Can’t speak for TX but there’s going to be a lot of unhappy snowbirds this fall thanks to Mother Nature! Sorry for the negativity but I believe it’s going to be a sad reality! 😔 Dan
agesilaus
I'd try around Trenton FL, not on the Gulf but there are two very large RV camps and several medium sized ones. These were not even close to full last winter. You would be near several State Park springs.
Ray,IN
We've been looking at Harlengen TX. It's a fairly large city with many things of interest, in addition to the WWII memorial. Not as breezy as the rest of the Rio Grande valley. South Padre Island is an easy drive away. Only downside we're aware of is driving distance from East of the Mississippi, compared to SW Florida. TXiceman
Ray, some news for you about Harlingen. It is still windy there. We stayed at the upper end of the RGV at Mission and it was still pretty windy. Twotoes
Escapees has 4 parks in AZ, Congress, Yuma, Casa Granda and Benson. You may be able to get a site in one of them. But then we were just West of 77 headed North, parked in between two permanent trailers. We could sit under the awing without being bothered by wind.
