Kirk W
I was reading through some old threads and ran across a mention of FreeCampsites.net and was just wondering about it. That is the only mention of them that I recall so I was wondering if many folks are using it? Edited January 3, 2022 by Kirk W Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Dutch_12078
I've used the site on occasion to suggest free spots for friends that were in need of a last minute layover in unfamiliar areas. The listings seem to be pretty accurate. agesilaus
Freecampsites.net Is the one I used extensively. But I see your link is owned by that group and goes to the same page. It has roughly the same info as Campedium but without the begging for money. The two sites often call the same site by different names which can be confusing. I do chip in a few bucks every year. I prefer the way the info is presented on FC. The Dyrt takes begging to a whole new level and I almost never use them. trailertraveler
I have used it many times for years. It has been linked to many times on this forum in many discussions about boondocking and free camping. Along with The Ultimate Campgrounds Project it is one of my go to sites for locating spots on public lands.

I just put the name in wrong and have now edited it. We no longer do any dry camping so I've not kept up on those sites Looks like I just didn't notice it in the past.
